2017ம் ஆண்டில் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் விரும்பி வாங்கிய பட்ஜெட் மொபைல் போன்கள்

நாடுமுழுவதும் 80 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட பேராசிரியர்கள் ஒன்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளில் பணியாற்றுவது, ஆதார் இணைப்பின் மூலம் வெளிச்சத்திற்கு வந்துள்ளது.

கடந்த 2016 -2017 கல்வியாண்டில் நாடுமுழுவதும் கல்லூரிகள், பல்கலைக்கழங்களில் பயிலும் மாணவர்கள், பேராசிரியர்கள், கல்வி நிலை குறித்த விவரங்கள் அடங்கிய அறிக்கை நேற்று (சனிக்கிழமை) நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் சமர்பிக்கப்பட்டது. மத்திய மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகம் தயாரித்துள்ள இந்த அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளதாவது:

‘‘பல்வேறு மாநிலங்கள், யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களில் கல்லூரிகள் மற்றும் பல்கலைக்கழங்களில் மொத்தம் 15 லட்சம் பேராசிரியர்கள் பணியாற்றுகின்றனர். இவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆதார் எண்ணை இணைக்கும்படி கேட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டனர். அவர்களில் 85 சதவீதம் பேர் ஆதார் எண்ணை இணைத்துள்ளனர்.

பேராசிரியர்கள் பற்றி விவரங்களை சேகரிப்பதற்காக ஆதார் எண் இணைக்கும்படி கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டது. இதன் மூலம், 70 ஆயிரத்தில் இருந்து, 80 ஆயிரம் பேராசிரியர்கள் ஒன்றுக்கு மேற்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளில் பேராசிரியர்களாக பணியாற்றி வரும் விவரம் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

இதுபற்றி விசாரணை நடத்த உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளோம். கவுரவப் பேராசரியர்களாக இருந்தால் ஒன்றுக்கு மேற்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளில் பணியாற்ற தடையில்லை. அதேசமயம் இதில் முறைகேடு ஏதும் நடந்துள்ளதா எனவும் விசாரிக்க உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. முறைகேடு உறுதியானால் தகுந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும்’’ என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆதாரை மொபைல் எண்ணுடன் இணைப்பது எப்படி?

1.முதலில் உங்களின் ஆதார் எண்ணைக் கையில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

2. உங்களின் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட மொபைல் எண்ணில் இருந்து 14546 என்ற இலவச எண்ணை அழையுங்கள்.

3. பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட குரல் ஆதார் ஓடிபி (OTP- ஒரு முறை கடவுச்சொல்) இருந்தால் 1 ஐ அழுத்தச் சொல்லும். நாம் முதல்முறையாக அழைப்பதால் இல்லையென 2-ஐ அழுத்தவும்.

4. நம்முடைய மொபைல் எண்ணை சரிபார்க்க ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கவேண்டும். இதை உறுதிசெய்ய 1-ஐ அழுத்தவும்.

5. அடுத்ததாக நம்முடைய 12 இலக்க ஆதார் எண்ணை உள்ளிட வேண்டும். மேலே தொடர 1-ஐ அழுத்தவும். விவரங்களைச் சரிபார்க்க சில விநாடிகள் ஆகும் என்பதால் அழைப்பில் காத்திருக்கவும்.

6. வாடிக்கையாளர் மையம் நம்முடைய மொபைல் எண் மற்றும் சிம் பயன்பாட்டை உறுதி செய்யும். அத்துடன் ஆதாரின்படி நம்முடைய பெயர், பிறந்த தேதி, வயது, பாலினம், புகைப்படம் ஆகியவற்றை அளிக்க ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கிறீர்களா, உங்களின் ஓடிபியே கையெழுத்தாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் என்று கூறும். அதை உறுதிசெய்ய 1-ஐ அழுத்தவும்.

7. ஆதாருடன் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நம்முடைய மொபைல் எண்ணுக்கு 6 இலக்க ஓடிபி எண் வரும். அதை சரியாக உள்ளீடு செய்யவும்.

8. அதைத் தொடர்ந்து சரிபார்ப்புப் பணியை மேற்கொள்ள 2-ஐ அழுத்தவும். இத்துடன் ஆதாரை இணைப்பதற்கான பணிகள் முடிந்து சரிபார்ப்பு முறை தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள குரல் ஒலிக்கும்.

போக்குவரத்துக் கழக ஊழியர்கள் திடீர் வேலைநிறுத்தத்தால் நேற்று காலை ஆங்காங்கே பேருந்துகள் நிறுத்தப்பட்டன.

சேலம் மாவட்டம் ஆத்தூர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு ஒன்றில் ஆஜராக வேண்டிய திருச்சியைச் சேர்ந்த வழக்கறிஞர் தம்பதி, நேற்று காலை திருச்சியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு பெரம்பலூர் வந்து, அங்கிருந்து ஆத்தூருக்குச் செல்ல பேருந்துகள் இல்லாமல் தவித்துக் கொண் டிருந்தனர்.


ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டோ ஓட்டுநரிடமும் சென்று ஆத்தூருக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லுமாறு கெஞ்சும் தொனியில் கேட்டனர். பலரும் சுமார் 60 கி.மீ. தொலைவு செல்வதற்கு தயங்கினர். அதே பகுதியில் ஷேர் ஆட்டோ ஓட்டும் பாண்டியன்(29), பரிதவித்த அந்த தம்பதியை அணுகி என்ன விஷயம், எங்கு செல்ல வேண்டும் எனக் கேட்டார்.

“ஒரு முக்கியமான வழக்கு விஷயமாக காலை 10.30 மணிக்குள் ஆத்தூர் நீதிமன்றத்துக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். உங்களால் வர இயலுமா? நீங்கள் கேட்கும் தொகையை தருகிறேன்” என்று அந்த வழக்கறிஞர் தம்பதி கூறினர்.

பின்னர் நடந்தவற்றை பாண்டியன் விவரித்தார்.

“ஆட்டோவில் ஏறுங்கள்” எனக்கூறி அவர்களை உட்காரவைத்துக் கொண்டு ஆட்டோவை ஸ்டார்ட் செய்தேன். அப்போது மணி காலை 8.45 இருக்கும். அடுத்த ஒன்றரை மணி நேரத்தில் 60 கி.மீ. தொலைவைக் கடந்து ஆத்தூர் நீதிமன்ற வாசலில் ஆட்டோவை நிறுத்தினேன். அந்த தம்பதி நிம்மதிப் பெருமூச்சு விட்டனர்.

“இப்போதுதான் மனது நிம்மதி அடைந்தது. தம்பி நீங்க பத்திரமா பார்த்து ஊருக்குப் போய்ச் சேருங்கள்” எனக்கூறி கட்டணமாக ரூ.1,100-ஐ என்னிடம் கொடுத்துவிட்டு வழக்கறிஞர் கோட்டை அவசர அவசரமாக அணிந்துகோண்டு நீதிமன்றத்துக்குள் ஓட்டமும் நடையுமாகச் சென்றனர்.

‘அவர்கள் தவித்ததைப் பார்த்தபோது, பணம் எனக்கு ஒரு விஷயமா தெரியல. ஏதாவது முக்கியமான வழக்கு விஷயமாக ஆஜராகத்தான் அவர்கள் இவ்வளவு சிரமப்பட்டு திருச்சியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு ஆத்தூர் செல்ல வந்திருக்க வேண்டும். அதனால் அவங்க கொடுக்குறத கொடுக்கட்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்துகொண்டு, குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்துக்குள் நீதிமன்றத்தில் கொண்டு சென்று விட வேண்டும் என தீர்மானித்து ஆட்டோவில் அழைத்துச் சென்றேன். குறித்த நேரத்துக்குள் அவர்களை நீதிமன்றத்தில் விட்டபின்னரே எனக்கும் மனம் நிறைவடைந்தது’ என்றார் பாண்டியன்.

PG medical, dental fee may increase

  The fees of postgraduate medical and dental courses is likely to increase as various medical college associations have demanded a hike of 50% over the previous academic year.

While the State government is learnt to be wary of increasing fees, with elections around the corner, private college managements say they will not budge until the government assures them of a hike.

Medical Education Minister Sharanprakash Patil said the State government had only a “preliminary” meeting with college managements and there was a need for more discussions. He said the government would take a call keeping the interests of students in mind.

Both the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation and Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges’ Association have demanded a 50% hike in institutional and government quota seats.

M.R. Jayaram, chairman of the foundation, said they had even presented facts to show that the fees in Karnataka was significantly lower that other States. Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges’ Association secretary Shafi Ahmed too echoed the same views.

Don't take away our jobs because of a 'few black sheep': MCI staffers to PMO

The beginning of the new year, it seems, didn't bring much cheer for the employees of the Medical Council of India. Instead, for these 100-odd employees, it brought to the fore the big question—if the National Medical Commission Bill, 2017, is passed, and the MCI is dissolved, what about our jobs?

On the first day of the new year, 95 employees of the MCI wrote a letter to the PMO requesting that their jobs be protected if the bill was passed. The NMC Bill, 2017, proposes to replace the MCI with a new 25-member body called the National Medical Commission.

The letter, a copy of which is with THE WEEK, says though it was for the Parliament and the government to decide the "way forward for healthcare and regulation of medical education and medical profession", the employees were unhappy with a provision in the bill that said after the dissolution of the MCI, their services would be terminated, and they would be handed a severance package.

The NMC Bill, 2017, has been drafted by a three-member committee at the Niti Aayog, chaired by former vice chairman Arvind Panagariya. This draft was based on the recommendations of a parliamentary standing committee that studied the the functioning of the MCI, and submitted a report in 2016. The committee found that the MCI had failed in its mandate of regulating medical education and the profession, and proposed restructuring the body.

The draft prepared by the Niti Aayog was then sent to the union ministry of health and family welfare, and the final version of the bill was introduced in the Parliament on December 29 by Health Minister J.P. Nadda. This week, the bill was sent to the parliamentary standing committee, following opposition in the Lok Sabha, particularly from the Indian Medical Association as well as some of the BJP's own MPs over several clauses in the draft law. The committee has been asked to submit its report before the upcoming budget session.

Meanwhile, MCI employees have been contemplating the fate of their own jobs in the event of the bill going through. An MCI, official who did not want to be named, said according to the second provision of Second 58 of the proposed law, once the new body to replace MCI came into effect, services of current employees would be terminated with "immediate effect", and they would be given three months of pay. This clause would have "disastrous consequences" for over 100 regular employees of the MCI.

"The salary that we earn is the only source of livelihood for our families. We emphasise that all employees are working with utmost sincerity and full dedication...merely because of (a) few black sheep, the entire staff cannot and should not be penalised by depriving them of their employment," the letter says.

The employees have also asked the government to either utilise their services in the new commission, or in any other establishment of the government. MCI secretary told THE WE|EK that the organisation was accused of "inspector raj" only because it had been enforcing "stringent regulations" to enforce quality in medical education in accordance with the rules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1962.

Techie cheated of Rs 20L by online fraudsters

Online fraudsters cheated a software engineer in the city of Rs 20 lakh under the pretext of offering him a business deal with high returns.

In his complaint to the cyber crime police, H N Ravi Kumar, residing in JP Nagar 5th phase, said he received a call in September from a man introducing himself as Russell, the head of Nova Pharma company in the United States.

Russell asked Kumar to source some cancer healing seeds available in India in return for a brokerage. Kumar ignored the call.

Two weeks later, Kumar received a mail from Russell, from the email ID of nova-pharma.org. The American man had stated in the mail that Shukla in Maharashtra was his distributors, and asked Kumar to act as his Indian agent
to purchase the seeds from them.

The offer of Rs 50,000 per packet of seeds was too tempting to ignore, Kumar had said in his complaint. Russell further gave him the phone numbers of Girish and Shilpa, with instructions to call them.

The American imposter also told Kumar that a packet of seeds actually costs Rs 2.5 lakh and he needs 10 packets of the seeds.

Once Kumar purchased the seeds and dispatched them to the United States, Russell said he would wire him Rs 30 lakh, including brokerage.

Kumar contacted Girish and Shilpa, who asked him to deposit the money in a Canara Bank account.

To his horror, Kumar found their mobile phones switched off after he had deposited the money.
