Pongal festival was celebrated on Madurai Kamaraj University premises with the participation of hundreds of students and staff on Friday.
As the university will be on holiday during Pongal, the festival was celebrated ahead. Students and staff members, including Vice-Chancellor M. Krishnan, turned up in ethnic wear, creating a festive mood.
