Haryana government has decided to provide superior quality PPE kits, N-95 masks and hand sanitisers to private doctors at government rates.
A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting chaired by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and attended by district representatives of Indian Medical Association (IMA) and civil surgeons through video conferencing.
In the meeting, it was also decided that Haryana’s private health clinics, nursing homes and dental clinics be included in the special economic package announced by the Centre for micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs). Apart from this, if a private doctor is infected with Covid-19, his treatment would also be done at the government expense. After coronavirus, investment in health services, public health and disease research among others would also be increased in the state.
Khattar said that so far more than 50 lakh people in the state have downloaded Arogya Setu app. He directed the doctors that while asking the history of a patient, they should also be asked whether they had downloaded the app or not. Health minister Anij Vij expressed confidence that with the cooperation of all private-sector doctors, Haryana will soon become a coronavirus-free state. He said the corona warriors have done remarkable work in providing security cover to 2.5 crore people of the state.
The state govt also decided that if a private hospital doctor gets the virus infection, it would bear the treatment expense
