சென்னை: 'தமிழகத்திற்கு வரும் 12 வரை, கனமழை எச்சரிக்கை எதுவும் இல்லை; வெப்பச்சலனத்தால் மழை உண்டு' என, வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

மழை முன் எச்சரிக்கை குறித்து சென்னை வானிலை மைய இயக்குனர் பாலச்சந்திரன் நேற்று கூறியதாவது:அரபிக்கடலில், கேரள பகுதியில் உருவாகியுள்ள மேல் அடுக்கு சுழற்சியால் கேரள எல்லையில் உள்ள, தமிழக பகுதிகளில் மழை பெய்யும். தென் மாவட்டங்களில், பல இடங்களில் மிதமான மழை இருக்கும்.

சென்னையில் வானம் மேக கூட்டத்துடன் காணப்படும். வங்கக்கடலில் அந்தமானுக்கு கிழக்கே மலேசியா அருகில் உருவாகியுள்ள காற்றழுத்த தாழ்வு பகுதியை கண்காணித்து வருகிறோம். அதனால், தற்போது, தமிழகத் திற்கு எந்த பாதிப்பும் இருக்காது.இவ்வாறு அவர்கூறினார்.இந்திய வானிலை மையம் நேற்று மாலை வெளியிட்ட கணிப்பு அறிக்கையில், 'அந்தமான் தீவுகளில் இன்று

நேற்று காலை 8:30 மணி நிலவரப்படி 24 மணி நேரத்தில் தமிழகத்தில் அதிகபட்சமாக, திருத் துறைப் பூண்டியில் 8 செ.மீ., மழை பதிவாகியுள்ளது.

மற்ற இடங்களில் மழை நிலவரம்:நாகப்பட்டினம்,7; இரணியல், செங்குன்றம், எண்ணுார், மாமல்லபுரம், 6;வேதாரண்யம், திருவாரூர், மயிலாடி, அம்பா சமுத்திரம் சோழவரம், 5; கோவில்பட்டி, சங்கரன்கோவில், பாபநாசம், புழல், பூண்டி, பள்ளிப் பட்டு மற்றும் ஸ்ரீவைகுண்டத்தில், 4 செ.மீ., மழை பதிவாகி உள்ளது.ஓட்டப்பிடாரம் முத்துப்பேட்டை,

சிவகிரி, மணியாச்சி, கோவில்பட்டி, ஸ்ரீவில்லி., செங்கோட்டையில் 3 செ.மீ., மழை பதிவாகியுள்ளது.

பிரதீப்ஜான் கணிப்பு:

'சென்னை உள்ளிட்ட மாவட்டங்களில் வெயில் துவங்கி உள்ளது. இது மழைக்கான இடைவெளி காலம். கோவை, திருப்பூர், ஈரோடு, சேலம், நீலகிரி மாவட்டங்களில் இன்று மழை பெய்யும்' என, சமூக வலைதளத்தில், 'தமிழ்நாடு வெதர்மேன்' பக்கத்தில், வானிலை ஆர்வலர் பிரதீப் ஜான் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

சபரிமலை; பம்பை ஆற்றில் சோப்பு போட்டு குளித்தால் 6 ஆண்டுகள் வரை சிறைத்தண்டனை வழங்கும் சட்டத்தை அமல்படுத்தும் படி மாவட்ட எஸ்.பி.க்கு பத்தணந்திட்டா கலெக்டர் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார். சபரிமலை பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளும் பக்தர்கள் செய்யும் முக்கிய சடங்குகளில் ஒன்று பம்பைஆற்றில் குளியல் நடத்துவது, பம்பையில் குளித்தால் பாவங்கள் தீரும் என்பது பக்தர்கள் நம்பிக்கை. ஆனால் சோப்பு, ஷாம்பு போட்டு குளிப்பது, உள்ளாடைகள், மாலைகளை வீசி எறிவது, எச்சில் இலைகளை போடுவது போன்ற செயல்களால் பம்பை நதி அசுத்த
மாகிறது. இதை தடுக்க பல்வேறு விழிப்புணர்வு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. என்றாலும் பக்தர்கள் போலீசின் கண்காணிப்பையும் மீறி ஆடைகளை விட்டு சென்று விடுகின்றனர். இதனால் இந்த ஆண்டு பம்பையை சுத்தமாக பராமரிக்க பத்தணந்திட்டா மாவட்ட நிர்வாகம் கடுமையான நடவடிக்கை எடுத்து வருகிறது. இதன்படி பம்பை ஆற்றில் தடையை மீறி எண்ணெய், சோப்பு, ஷாம்பு போன்றவற்றை பயன்படுத்துவோருக்கு 6 ஆண்டு வரை சிறையும், அபராதமும் விதிக்கப்படும் என்றும், இதனை மாவட்ட எஸ்.பி. அமல்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்றும் கலெக்டர் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.

ட்விட்டர் பக்கத்தில் இனி 280 எழுத்துகள் வரை பதிவிடலாம்

ட்விட்டரில் கருத்துகளை பதிய இதுநாள் வரையில் 140 எழுத்துகளுக்குள் மட்டுமே எழுத முடியும் என்ற கட்டுப்பாடு இருந்தது. இந்நிலையில் தற்போது அதனை தளர்த்தி கூடுதலாக 140 எழுத்துகள் எழுத ட்விட்டர் தளம் வாய்ப்பு தந்துள்ளது. இதனையடுத்து ட்விட்டர் பக்கத்தில் எழுதலாம் என்று தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

சோழன் விரைவு ரயிலில் உள்ள தூங்கும் வசதி கொண்ட பெட்டிகளில் 50 சதவீத பெட்டிகள் வரும் டிசம்பர் 1-ம் தேதி முதல் முன்பதிவு இருக்கை வசதி கொண்ட பெட்டிகளாக மாற்றப்படுவதாக தெற்கு ரயில்வே அறிவித்துள்ளது.

சென்னை எழும்பூர் - திருச்சி இடையே சோழன் விரைவு ரயில் (16853/54) இயக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. இந்த ரயிலில் உள்ள தூங்கும் வசதி கொண்ட பெட்டிகளில் 50 சதவீதப் பெட்டிகள் வரும் டிச.1-ம் தேதி முதல் முன்பதிவு இருக்கை வசதி கொண்ட பெட்டிகளாக மாற்றப்படுகிறது.

சபரிமலை சீசனை முன்னிட்டு சென்னை சென்ட்ரல்-கொல்லம் இடையே சிறப்புக் கட்டண சிறப்பு ரயில் (06045) வரும் 19-ம் தேதி முதல் 2018 ஜனவரி 21-ம் தேதி வரை ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகளில் இயக்கப்படும். சென்ட்ரலில் இருந்து மதியம் 12.30 மணிக்குப் புறப்பட்டு மறுநாள் காலை 7 மணிக்கு கொல்லம் சென்றடையும்.

மறுமார்க்கத்தில் இந்த ரயில் (06046) வரும் 20, 27 மற்றும் டிச. 4,11,18 மற்றும் ஜன.8, 22-ம் தேதிகளில் இயக்கப்படும். இந்த ரயில் கொல்லத்தில் இருந்து மதியம் 2.45 மணிக்குப் புறப்பட்டு மறுநாள் காலை 8.45 மணிக்கு சென்னை சென்ட்ரல் வந்தடையும்.

இதேபோல், சென்னை சென்ட்ரல்-கொல்லம் இடையே சிறப்புக் கட்டண சிறப்பு ரயில் (06051) வரும் 21-ம் தேதி முதல் 2018 ஜனவரி 16-ம் தேதி வரை வாரம்தோறும் செவ்வாய்க்கிழமைகளில் இயக்கப்படுகிறது. சென்ட்ரலில் இருந்து மாலை 6.20 மணிக்குப் புறப்பட்டு மறுநாள் காலை 11 மணிக்கு கொல்லம் சென்றடையும்.

மறுமார்க்கத்தில் இந்த ரயில் (06052) வரும் 22-ம் தேதி முதல் ஜனவரி 17-ம் தேதி வரை வாரம்தோறும் புதன்கிழமைகளில் இயக்கப்படும். கொல்லத்தில் இருந்து மாலை 4.15 மணிக்குப் புறப்பட்டு மறுநாள் காலை 8.30 மணிக்கு சென்ட்ரல் வந்தடையும். மேற்கண்ட ரயில்களுக்கான முன்பதிவு இன்று (8-ம் தேதி) தொடங்குகிறது.

Incident took place on October 15

In a replay of the infamous United Airlines incident where a passenger was brutally assaulted, a video surfaced on Tuesday showing IndiGo staff assaulting a traveller at the Delhi airport.

The passenger was first seen being stopped from entering a coach, then pulled back by a ground staff. Another airline employee was seen restraining the traveller. The passenger fought back and fell to the ground in the melee.

The incident happened on October 15.

Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha condemned the incident in a series of tweets, and said the government had sought a report from the airline.

In another tweet, he said he would also meet the passenger. “We hope the passenger will file a criminal complaint. This will enable us to take appropriate action,” he said.

IndiGo president and whole time director Aditya Ghosh apologised, and said stern action was taken against the staff.

A Delhi police official said they received a call from the police control room but no one filed a complaint.

Medical services remain crippled in Rajasthan

Over 8,000 government doctors go on indefinite mass leave

Medical services across Rajasthan continued to remain crippled for the second day on Tuesday as more than 8,000 government doctors went on an indefinite mass leave.

Though the In-Service Doctors' Association claimed that several senior doctors had resigned, the State government denied having received any papers.

Separate cadre

Talks of the doctors’ representatives with Medical and Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf over the demands, including the formation of a separate cadre and fixation of new pay grades, were continuing till late on Tuesday evening. The alternative arrangements made in the government hospitals with the deployment of doctors from the Army and railways proved insufficient.

According to the reports reaching here, patients approaching the primary health centres, community health centres and district health hospitals for treatment had to return due to the absence of doctors.

In his plea, Vijayran has sought directions from the apex court to make available to law students the audio-video recordings and complete case files claiming it would be a big step in providing them with holistic and practical knowledge of law and bridging the gap between theory and practice.

New Delhi, Nov 6 : A doctor-turned-law student who has sought audio-video recording of court proceedings of 'cases of public importance' and 'legally educative cases' was today grilled by the Supreme Court over his knowledge of medicine.

The apex court which appreciated the drafting of petition by the doctor-turned-law student said several pleas were being filed regarding audio-video recording of the cases and it would entertain the matters.

A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud refused to entertain the petition filed by Dr Subhash Vijayran, who is now a second year law student at the Campus Law Centre in Delhi University, and asked him to withdraw the plea.

Chief Justice Dipak Misra, when he learnt that Vijayran who was appearing in-person was a doctor, asked him questions about medicine.

"What is the effect of Paracetamol tablet on the body? How does it react," the CJI asked the petitioner.

Replying to the question, Vijayran said it lowered the temperature of the body by reacting to the liver and mitochondria.

This prompted the CJI to ask further questions including how does the body react to kidney transplant and what are the effects of antibiotics on the body.

Justice Misra said research has been conducted about neural reaction on the human body which undergoes kidney transplant and asked Vijayran to go through these research papers.

In his plea, Vijayran has sought directions from the apex court to make available to law students the audio-video recordings and complete case files claiming it would be a big step in providing them with holistic and practical knowledge of law and bridging the gap between theory and practice.

"It is aptly said that law colleges in India produce law graduates and not lawyers. It takes years for a law graduate to become a lawyer. To become a good lawyer, apart from hard work, it is equally important to work under the guidance of an able and learned senior. This is a real challenge for me," Vijayran said in his plea.

He also urged the court to take the aid of modern technology to perpetually preserve its proceedings and make them 'open courts' in word and spirit as has been the practice in western countries like USA and United Kingdom.

"Drafting skills are very important for any lawyer. If the entire case file is available on the website, I shall, apart from reading the case documents and gaining knowledge therefrom, also develop good drafting skills. By granting my prayer of having entire case file in PDF format available online, this Court will help in sculpturing an excellent draftsman out of me. Therefore, my prayers should be granted," he said.He also said that because of lack of space and other practical difficulties, hardly a hundred people at the most can be physically present in any court room at a given time.
