புதுச்சேரியைச் சேர்ந்த அரசு ஊழியர், 10 ஆண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் மாயமானவர், மத்திய பிரதேசத்தில் இருப்பது தெரியவந்துள்ளது. அவரை அழைத்து வர, போலீசார் ம.பி., செல்கின்றனர்.

புதுச்சேரி, முதலியார்பேட்டையைச் சேர்ந்தவர் வைத்தியநாதன், 50; அரசு ஊழியராக இருந்தார்.
மனநிலை பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இவர், 2007ல், வீட்டில் இருந்து வெளியே சென்றவர், திரும்பவில்லை.
இது குறித்து, அவரதுமனைவி, ஜெயலட்சுமி கொடுத்த புகாரின் படி, முதலியார்பேட்டை போலீசார், வைத்தியநாதனை தேடி வந்தனர். அவர் கிடைக்கவில்லை.

கணவர் காணமால்போன சோகத்தில் இருந்த ஜெயலட்சுமி, முருங்கப்பாக்கத்தில் குடியேறினார்.
இந்நிலையில், ம.பி., மாநில முதல்வர் அலுவலகத்தில் இருந்து, வடக்கு எஸ்.பி., ரட்சனா சிங் அலுவலகத்திற்கு கடிதம் ஒன்று வந்தது. அதில், புதுச்சேரியைச் சேர்ந்த வைத்தியநாதன் என்பவர், ம.பி., உத்தான் மாவட்ட ஆசிரமத்தில் இருப்பதாக, தகவல் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

மேலும், வைத்தியநாதன் கையால் எழுதப்பட்ட முகவரி மற்றும் அவரது பழைய, புதிய புகைப்படம் ஆகியவை, எஸ்.பி., அலுவலகத்திற்குஅனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.இதையடுத்து, போலீசார் விசாரணை செய்தனர். ம.பி.,யில் இருந்து அனுப்பப்பட்ட விலாசம் தவறாக இருந்ததால், உறவினரை கண்டுபிடிப்பதில் சிரமம் ஏற்பட்டது.இருப்பினும் பின்கோடை வைத்து தேடி பார்த்ததில், அவர் முதலியார்பேட்டையில், 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் காணாமல் போன வைத்தியநாதன் என்பது தெரியவந்தது.

பின், முருங்கப்பாக்கத்தில் வசித்து வரும் ஜெயலட்சுமியிடம், வடக்கு எஸ்.பி., ரட்சனா சிங், நேரடியாக வந்து இத்தகவலை தெரிவித்தார்.கணவர் உயிரோடு இருப்பதை அறிந்து, ஜெயலட்சுமி ஆனந்த கண்ணீர் வடித்தார். முதலியால்பேட்டை போலீசார், ஜெயலட்சுமியை அழைத்து கொண்டு, மத்திய பிரதேசம் சென்று, வைத்தியநாதனை அழைத்து வர உள்ளனர்.

Chennai: Public and builders planning to visit the corporation zone offices for building assessment and other trade licences would do well to wait until December 24 for revenue officials to return from RK Nagar poll duty. As part of its election work, the city corporation has, for the first time, posted all its revenue officials in Chennai to RK Nagar.

“Each assistant revenue official (ARO) has been given 15 polling booths to supervise. Earlier a team of licence surveyors and tax collectors, who are subordinates to AROs, were deployed for the purpose, but now seniors are deployed to ensure that a fool proof polling system is in place”, an ARO said.



One of the election officials said that a total of 300 EVMs have been kept in the strong room after verification by senior poll officials for the 256 polling booths.

For each control unit, 4 ballot units would be attached. In all, 1,200 ballot units are to be used and the role of ARO starts from supervising the polling stations and to ensure free fair and fair polls on December 21, the official said.

The EVMs would be checked and verified again in front of the poll observers and the functions of polling machines would be explained to representatives of candidates before transporting them to polling booths.

Meanwhile, the election department has finished training 1,800 staff, including presiding officers and booth level officers. “Nearly 3,000 officials are being employed in conducting the by-election”, the official said.

To ensure peaceful and fair election, the election department, apart from cameras and web screening in polling booths, has installed nearly 300 CCTV cameras in important junctions and streets, an all time high for an assembly constituency.

The election officials have also earmarked 19 locations for accommodating police personnel and paramilitary personnel. “Nearly 1,500 local police and 20 companies of paramilitary companies, each consisting of 80 to 100 personnel will be deployed in RK Nagar. The paramilitary forces started arriving in the constituency”, the official added.

காரைக்கால், திருநள்ளாரில் உள்ள, தர்பாரண்யேஸ்வரர் கோவில், நவக்கிரக ஸ்தலங்களில், சனி பரிகார தலமாக விளங்குகிறது. இக்கோவிலில் சனிப்பெயர்ச்சி விழா, இரண்டரை ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒரு முறை நடைபெறுவது வழக்கம். இந்தாண்டு 19ல் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
சனிப்பெயர்ச்சி நடைபெறுவதற்கு முன்பே, திருநள்ளார் கோவிலுக்கு பத்தர்களின் வருகை அதிகரித்து உள்ளது.

Aadhaar link may be made compulsory for lawyers to check credentials, says HC

Chennai: Saying that days are not far off when advocates have to link Aadhaar to certificates of lawyers in order to verify their credentials, Madras high court has refused to relax its recent order mandating that they affix their photographs on vakkalats.

Justice S Vaidyanathan, rejecting requests made by Madras Bar Association and Madras High Court Advocates Association to modify his November 6 order, said: "All courts, including this court and the Supreme Court, are interested in the welfare of genuine advocates. If the Bar is going to stand on technicalities and protect fraudulent advocates, this court cannot be a party to it, more particularly with regard to the fate of the litigants."

He said the court was more concerned about moral values in the advocate profession, than the legality of any issue, particularly, in the context of fraudulent lawyers. "It is to be remembered that law profession is already under severe criticism and due to the illegal activities of lawyers in this state, the reputation of the profession is getting diminished among the public," Justice Vaidyanathan said.

On November 6, he he held affixing of photographs by advocates in vakkalats mandatory, and said it must be affixed on anticipatory and other bail application forms of an affidavit. By doing so, misrepresentation and cross-filing of bail application could be averted, apart from easily verifying the genuineness of advocates appearing before the courts, the order justified.

Reiterating the seriousness of the issue, the judge said: "If a doctor commits mistake, his patient will go six feet beneath the earth, whereas if an advocate commits mistake, his client will go six feet above the earth (death sentence by hanging)."

No non-academic event in schools and colleges, rules HC

IT'S OUR PLACE: The academic atmosphere in schools should not be vitiated, the court said CHENNAI: No non-academic event can be held in educational institutions, be it school, college or university, the Madras high court has ruled.

Clamping a blanket ban on private programmes on educational institution campuses, Justice N Kirubakaran said: "Any educational institution should be allowed to function as it is, without any interference from the government. The academic atmosphere has to be maintained and should not be vitiated. If the government intends to conduct any exhibition to demonstrate their achievement or whatever it may be, the same can be done anywhere else, except in educational institutions."

Making it clear educational institutions are only for imparting education, the judge said, "No other activity should be undertaken either temporarily or permanently in them."

'Do not use loudspeakers before 5pm'

The judge added, "Only the programmeswith regard to education and incidental programmes could be undertaken in the temple of learning." Justice Kirubakaran was passing the orders on a plea moved by Kathirvel of Students Federation of India (SFI) seeking to restrain the authorities from conducting a government exhibition for 45days in theopen space earmarked for play ground on Chikkanna Government Arts College campusin Tirupur.

VijayNarayan submitted that arrangements had been made already for conducting the exhibition and hence there cannot be any order restraining it. Considering the submissions, the judge permitted the government to conduct the exhibition with certain conditions, including, prohibition touseloudspeakers before 5 pm, and ban against sloganeering insidethecampus.

ஒகி புயலில் சிக்கி மாயமானவர்களின் கதி என்ன? என்பது தெரியாத நிலையில், கடலில் மிதக்கும் உடல்களை பார்த்து மீனவர்கள் கண்ணீர் வடிக்கின்றனர். மீட்புப் பணிகளை விரைவுபடுத்த வேண்டும் என்றும் கோரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.

கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தில் இருந்து கடலுக்கு மீன்பிடிக்க சென்ற மீனவர்கள் கடந்த 30-ந் தேதி தாக்கிய ‘ஒகி’ புயலில் சிக்கினார்கள். இதில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் மாயமானார்கள். இதேபோல் கேரள மாநிலத்தில் இருந்து மீன்பிடிக்க சென்ற மீனவர்களும் காணாமல் போனார்கள்.

இதுவரை 268 தமிழக மீனவர்கள் உள்பட 672 மீனவர்கள் மீட்கப்பட்டு இருப்பதாக கடலோர காவல் படையினர் தெரிவித்தனர். கடலில் காணாமல்போன மீனவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 65 என்று தமிழக அரசு தரப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் மீனவர்கள் தரப்பில் 1,013 மீனவர்களை காணவில்லை என்றும், உடனடியாக தேடுதல் வேட்டையை மேலும் தீவிரப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்றும் வேண்டுகோள் விடுக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த கோரிக்கையை வலியுறுத்தி கன்னியாகுமரி மற்றும் சென்னையில் மீனவர்கள் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

இதற்கிடையே வருவாய் நிர்வாக ஆணையர் சத்தியகோபால் நேற்றுமுன்தினம் நிருபர்களிடம் கூறும்போது, “582 மீனவர்கள் இதுவரை கரை திரும்பவில்லை. காணாமல்போன மீனவர்களை தேடும் பணியில் கடற்படை, விமானப் படை, கடலோர காவல் படையினர் ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றனர். வெளிமாநில கடற்கரைகளில் ஒதுங்கியுள்ள சுமார் 2 ஆயிரம் மீனவர்களை அழைத்துவர தமிழக மூத்த ஐ.ஏ.எஸ். அதிகாரிகள் சென்றுள்ளனர்” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.

‘ஒகி’ புயல் வீசியபோது அரபிக்கடலில் மீன்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த தமிழக, கேரள மீனவர்களின் படகுகள் அதில் சிக்கி நிலைகுலைந்தது. சில படகுகள் கடலில் மூழ்கிப்போனதாக மீனவர்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர். அதில் இருந்த மீனவர்களின் நிலையும் என்னவென்று தெரியவில்லை. திசை மாறிய படகுகள் தத்தளித்தபடி குஜராத், மராட்டியம், கோவா, கர்நாடகா ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் உள்ள கடற்கரையோரம் ஒதுங்கியது. அதில் இருந்த மீனவர்களும் அங்கே தஞ்சம் அடைந்தனர். அந்த மீனவர்களை அழைத்துவர தமிழக அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுத்துவருவதாக கூறப்பட்டாலும், கர்நாடக மாநில கரையோரம் ஒதுங்கிய மீனவர்கள் பலர் அவர்களாகவே திரும்பி வந்துவிட்டனர்.

புயல் பாதிப்பு குறித்து கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம் குளச்சலை சேர்ந்த மீனவர் நிக்சன் ‘தினத்தந்தி’ நிருபரிடம் கூறியதாவது:-

நாங்கள் நவம்பர் 21-ந் தேதி கேரளா மாநிலம் கோழிக்கோடு அருகேயுள்ள தேப்பூர் மீன்பிடி துறைமுகத்தில் இருந்து விசைப்படகில் மீன்பிடிக்க சென்றோம். எங்கள் படகில் மொத்தம் 18 பேர் இருந்தோம். கோவாவுக்கு மேற்கே நடுக்கடலில் நாங்கள் மீன்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோம்.

அப்போது, கர்நாடகாவில் இருந்து படகில் மீன்பிடிக்க வந்த மீனவர்கள் எங்களிடம் புயல் குறித்து கடலோர காவல் படையினர் எச்சரிக்கை செய்ததாக தெரிவித்தனர். உடனே நாங்களும் திரும்பி சென்றுவிடலாம் என்று புறப்பட்டோம். ஆனால் புயல் தாக்குதலில் சிக்கி கர்நாடக மாநிலத்தில் கரை ஒதுங்கினோம்.

தமிழக அரசு எங்களுக்கு எந்த உதவியும் செய்யவில்லை. நாங்களாகவே அங்கிருந்து திரும்பி வந்துவிட்டோம். ஆழ்கடலில் மீன்பிடிக்க சென்ற பல மீனவர்களை இன்னும் காணவில்லை. பல பேரின் உடல்கள் கடலில் ஆங்காங்கே மிதப்பதாக மீனவர்கள் கண்ணீருடன் வந்து எங்களிடம் சொன்னார்கள். அந்த உடல்களை கூட மீட்க எந்த நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்கப்படவில்லை. மீனவர்களே சிறிய படகில் சென்று ஒவ்வொரு உடலாக பிளாஸ்டிக் பையில் கட்டி எடுத்து வருகிறார்கள்.

கேரள கடல் பகுதியில் அங்குள்ள மீனவர்களை கப்பலில் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு, காணாமல்போன மீனவர்களை கடற்படையினர் தேடிவருகின்றனர். ஆனால் தமிழகத்தில் அதுபோன்ற நிலை இல்லை. லட்சத்தீவில் 20 விசைப் படகுகள் கரை ஒதுங்கியிருப்பதாக கடலோர காவல் படை தெரிவித்துள்ளது. ஆனால் அங்குள்ள மீனவர்கள் இன்னும் மீட்கப்படவில்லை. உடனடியாக அவர்களை மீட்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறினார்.

ஓடிபி மூலம் செல்போன் எண்ணை ஆதாருடன் இணைக்கும் வசதி வருகிற ஜனவரி 1ம் தேதி முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வருகிறது.

பல்வேறு நலத்திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் மானியங்களை பெறவும், செல்போன், வங்கி கணக்கு எண் போன்ற சேவைகளுடனும் ஆதாரை இணைப்பது கட்டாயம் என மத்திய அரசு அறிவித்து உள்ளது. இதை எதிர்த்து தொடரப்பட்ட வழக்குகள் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டில் நிலுவையில் இருக்கும் நிலையில் இந்த சேவைகளுடன் ஆதாரை இணைப்பதற்கான காலக்கெடுவை மத்திய அரசு நீட்டித்து வருகிறது.

அந்தவகையில் செல்போன் எண் தவிர பிற சேவைகள் மற்றும் திட்டங்களுடன் ஆதாரை இணைப்பதற்கான காலக்கெடுவை டிசம்பர் 31-ந் தேதியில் இருந்து அடுத்த ஆண்டு (2018) மார்ச் 31-ந் தேதி என நீட்டித்து நேற்று முன்தினம் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டில் மத்திய அரசு தகவல் தெரிவித்தது.


இந்நிலையில் செல்போன் எண்ணுடன் ஆதார் எண்ணை இணைக்க ஓடிபி மூலம் இணைக்கும் வசதி வருகிற ஜனவரி 1ம் தேதி முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வருகிறது. ஓடிபி முறையில் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் ஐவிஆர் எஸ்க்கு தங்கள் செல்போனில் இருந்து கால் செய்து, அதில் உள்ள மொழிகளை தேர்வு செய்ய வேண்டும். அதன் பின்னர் ஆதார் எண் இணைப்பதற்கான எண்ணை அழுத்தினால், உடனடியாக வாடிக்கையாளரிடம் ஆதார் எண் கேட்கப்படும்.


இதனையடுத்து செல்போனுக்கு ஓடிபி அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படும். இதனை பதிவு செய்தவுடன், செல்போன் எண் சரிபார்க்கப்பட்டு, ஆதாருடன் மொபைல் எண் இணைக்கப்படும். இதன் மூலம் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் வீட்டில் இருந்தேபடியே செல்போன் மூலம் எளிதாக ஆதார் எண்ணை இணைத்து கொள்ளலாம்.
