OnePlus 6 with 6.28-inch, 19:9 display, all-glass design launched in India
 
OnePlus claims that this is the company’s fastest and most sophisticated flagship yet.

The scorching Mumbai summer heat didn’t stop thousands of OnePlus fans from flocking to NSCI Dome on Thursday to witness the launch on the Chinese smartphone maker’s flagship for the year – OnePlus 6. There was much excitement at the venue, quite rare for a smartphone launch.

As a brand, OnePlus is known to foster a community of its users, constantly engaging with them through pop-ups, events, campaigns, and other such events. The result? Thousands of fans travelled from all over the country just to come witness the company launch a smartphone.

OnePlus’ flagship for the year, the OnePlus 6 is the first flagship to feature an all-glass design, making it – as the company claims – the most sophisticated handset launched by the smartphone maker.

Coming to the specs, with a 6.28-inch Full Optic AMOLED 19:9 display, the 6 is OnePlus' largest-ever screen. But there isn’t much of a change in the form factor as compared to the OnePlus 5T.



"With the OnePlus 6, we challenged ourselves to deliver an external design as smooth and elegant as the work we've done inside the device. We're proud of what we've accomplished, and we hope our users are too," Pete Lau, OnePlus Founder and CEO said in a statement.

The smartphone runs of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Combining new technology from Qualcomm with OnePlus' engineering, the company claims that the OnePlus 6 is the fastest handset the company has ever produced.

“The Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with X20 LTE is designed with new architectures for AI, immersion, and blazing fast download speeds, allowing users to do even more with their mobile devices,” said Keith Kressin, Senior Vice President of Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., “It was purpose built for premium user experiences like immersive gaming, cinema-grade video capture, and long-lasting battery life.”

The process improves performance by 30%, while being 10% more power efficient. It also come in two RAM variants – 6GB and 8GB. It also comes with dual-lane storage, based on UFS 2.1, which ensures faster app loading and read/write speeds.

Speaking of the design, the OnePlus 6 comes with an all-glass design, which the company claims facilitates better transmission of radio waves, providing users with up to 1 gigabit of download speed. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back of the device.



The camera, which is the most popular feature of OnePlus smartphones, features a 16MP main camera, supported by a 20MP secondary camera. With an f/1.7 aperture, the 16MP main camera has been bolstered by a 19 percent larger sensor and OIS for outstanding performance in a range of lighting conditions.

With the OnePlus 6, the company has introduced Portrait Mode on the front camera as well as its rear. Using AI, the front camera is able to apply a depth of field effect to selfies. Newly added bokeh effects, including circles, hearts and stars offer new ways for users to customize their portraits.



The OnePlus 6 also marks the introduction of OnePlus' Slow-Motion mode, which can capture high-definition video frame-by-frame with astonishing detail, ensuring users never miss the action.

OnePlus 6 features a 3,300 mAh battery along with Dash charge. A half-hour charge gives the OnePlus 6 enough power for the entire day, OnePlus claims.

OnePlus 6 comes in three color variants: Mirror Black, Midnight Black and a limited-edition Silk White.



While most of the specs of the phone were already know, thanks to leaks, the most anticipated piece of information was the price. There were many rumours regarding the price. OnePlus took the excitement a notch higher with Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of OnePlus announcing the price.

OnePlus 6 will be sold at Rs 34,999 for the 6 GB RAM + 64 GB variant and Rs 39,999 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB in Mirror Black and Midnight Black color options. It will be available in an early access sale on Amazon.in, oneplus.in and OnePlus experience store in Bangalore on 21 May, 2018 at 12:00 pm.

OnePlus also unveiled the OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition that will be available with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage at Rs 44,999 and will go live on sale starting May 29. The limited-edition Silk White with 128 GB of storage will be available for purchase on June 5 at Rs 39,999.

Adding to the exciting lineup of smartphones, OnePlus also launched Bluetooth earphones - OnePlus Bullets Wireless, with features such as seamlessly pausing and resuming music when the earbuds are magnetically clipped together, dash charge giving five hours of continuous audio from just 10 minutes of charging and dust, water and sweat resistance. OnePlus Bullets Wireless is priced at Rs 3,999 and will be available soon in India.

On wednesday morning, Rema Rajeshwari, Superintendent of Police of Jogulamba Gadwal district, found her phone flooded with several gory and explicit visuals, with messages that claimed that the notorious Parthi gang was in the district and kidnapping children.

Swinging into action immediately, the SP ordered police officers to conduct a massive awareness campaign across the district to stop the menace of fake news.

This comes after a spate of fake news related incidents in the district, triggering law and order concerns. The SP also ordered an inquiry to trace the source of the messages.

TNM has managed to get those visuals but decided not to publish them, given the explicit nature of the same.

It turned out that the messages had originated from a teenager in Utkuru village in Alampur mandal. The teen said that he had forwarded the messages he had received from someone else. On identifying that it was fake news, local police officials counselled the teen and arranged an instant awareness campaign in the village.



In another incident, two women folk singers from Pebberu were attacked in Gattu mandal on the suspicion that they were members of a gang that had been kidnapping children from the area. Luckily, the swift intervention of the police saved the duo from getting further hurt.

Identifying source of fake messages

Speaking to TNM, SP Rema Rajeshwari said, “We are working on finding out the source of these messages. At present, we have sent teams to border areas of the district as the messages are in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi as well.”

Three kinds of messages are in circulation, according to the police. While one refers to an interstate gang of thieves, another mentions a gang that is kidnapping children. The third kind is communally sensitive messages that are in Hindi.

When asked if there is any information about where the fake messages are being circulated from, the SP said, “While Telugu and Kannada messages are apparently surfacing from Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district and other border areas, the communally sensitive messages in Hindi are apparently coming from north India.”

In fact, such unconfirmed messages had flooded WhatsApp groups in the adjoining Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh since the first week of this month, which had also led to the arrest of three juveniles earlier in the week.

The police said that they would take legal action if any person attempted to spread panic and unrest using rumours and fake news through social media.

What is the way ahead?

Social media has become a crucial source for updates and news and while it can be a great tool of engagement and information, there is always a concern in terms of the credibility of the information.

WhatsApp is popular in several interior rural areas in Telangana, but due to poor literacy it is often tough for people to identify fake news, SP Rema Rajeshwari opined.

“Through our interactions with the locals, we found out that people are being carried away by visuals and photographs rather than text since many cannot read,” she said.

Therefore, the Jogulamba Gadwal police have decided to take up the task of carrying out an awareness campaign against fake news through the Community Outreach Policing method, supervised by the Superintendent.



“Our village-level police officers will be in touch with sarpanches and different communities through WhatsApp, in coordination with our dedicated IT cell. Any suspicious messages will be immediately debunked with facts through this network,” she explained.

On Wednesday, Circle Inspectors and Sub Inspectors reached out to several people across many villages.

“As part of the campaign, our officials interacted with the locals and gave them information about the kind of measures that are being taken to prevent crimes. The police officers also told the people how to verify and fact-check messages,” the SP explained.

She added, “Earlier, people used to panic and be afraid to step out of their homes, but following our outreach drive to curb fake news, they are happy and appreciating us saying ‘no one explained it to us in this way’.”

Hoping that the move will develop awareness among people to counter fake news, the senior police officer said, “The task is big, but we hope it will definitely succeed, like our other community outreach programmes.”

சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்ட கொலைக் குற்றவாளிக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட குண்டர் சட்டத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்தி வந்த நீதிமன்ற உத்தரவை விடுதலை உத்தரவு என நினைத்து குற்றவாளியை விடுவித்த புழல் சிறை அதிகாரிகள் தற்போது கையைப் பிசைந்து நிற்கின்றனர். இந்த விவகாரத்தில் ஒரு காவலரை சஸ்பெண்ட் செய்துள்ளனர்.

சென்னை தண்டையார்பேட்டை சேனியம்மன் குடியிருப்புப் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்தவர் ரவி (எ) ரவிச்சந்திரன் (எ) மாங்கா ரவி (26). ஜீவா என்பவரை கூட்டாளிகளுடன் சேர்ந்து ரவி கொலை செய்த வழக்கில் கடந்த ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் அவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டு சிறையிலடைக்கப்பட்டார்.

பின்னர் ரவி உட்பட கூட்டாளிகள் உட்பட 14 பேரை கடந்த டிச.23 அன்று குண்டர் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஓராண்டு சிறையில் அடைக்க காவல் ஆணையர் உத்தரவிட்டதன் பேரில் அனைவரும் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டனர். தன்னை குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் கைது செய்ததை எதிர்த்து ரவி தீர்ப்பாயத்தில் முறையிட்டார்.

கடந்த சிலவாரங்களுக்கு முன் வழக்கை விசாரித்த தீர்ப்பாயம் கடந்த சிலவாரங்களுக்கு முன் அவரது முறையீட்டை தள்ளுபடி செய்து அவர் குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டதை உறுதிப்படுத்தியது. இதையடுத்து தீர்ப்பாயத்தின் உத்தரவு புழல் சிறைக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டது.

உத்தரவை அவசர கதியில் படித்த அதிகாரிகள் ரவியை விடுதலை செய்ய உத்தரவு வந்திருப்பதாக நினைத்து அவரை விடுதலை செய்து வெளியே அனுப்பினர். ’தன்னை தீர்ப்பாயம் வெளியே விடவில்லையே பின் எப்படி இவர்கள் விடுதலை செய்கிறார்கள்?’ என்று மனதுக்குள் கேள்வி எழுப்பிய ரவி சந்தோஷத்துடன் வீட்டுக்குப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்.

வீட்டுக்குச் சென்ற அவர் ஜாலியாக இருக்கலானார். ரவி வெளியே சுற்றி வருவதைப் பார்த்த கொலையான ஜீவாவின் உறவினர்கள் சிறையில் இருக்க வேண்டிய நபர் எப்படி வெளியில் வந்தார் என்று யோசித்தனர். தப்பி ஓடி வந்துவிட்டாரா? என்று விசாரித்தனர். ஆனால் ரவி கூறிய பதில் அவர்களுக்கு அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

“நீங்க என்னடா என்னை உள்ளே தள்ளுவது, கமிஷனர் என்னடா குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் உள்ளே வைப்பது? மேலே இருக்கிறவன் அடிச்சான் பாருடா ரிலீஸ் ஆர்டரு. என்னைப்பற்றி மேலே இருக்கிறவனுக்கு தெரியும் ரிலீஸ் பண்ணச் சொன்னான், ரிலீஸ் பண்ணிட்டானுவ” என்று வடிவேல் பாணியில் கூறியுள்ளார்.

இதனால் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்த ஜீவாவின் உறவினர்கள் தங்களது வழக்கறிஞரிடம் சென்று விஷயத்தைக் கூறியுள்ளனர். 'அவர் அப்படி வெளியே வர வாய்ப்பில்லையே, நான் விசாரிக்கிறேன்' என்று கூறி தீர்ப்பாயத்தில் விசாரித்துள்ளார். அங்கு ரவியை குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் கைது செய்தது செல்லும் என்று உத்தரவிடப்பட்டு அது சிறைக்கும் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது தெரியவந்தது.

குண்டர் சட்டத்தில் சிறையில் இருக்கும் நபரை எந்த அடிப்படையில் விடுதலை செய்தார்கள் எனக் கேட்டு ஜீவா தரப்பு வழக்கறிஞர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தார். வழக்கை ஏற்ற நீதிமன்றம் விளக்கம் கேட்டு சிறைத்துறைக்கு நோட்டீஸ் அனுப்ப அப்போதுதான் தங்கள் தவறு சிறைத்துறைக்கு தெரிந்துள்ளது.

குண்டர் சட்டம் செல்லும் என்று வந்த உத்தரவை தவறாக விடுதலை உத்தரவு என நினைத்து ரவியை விடுதலை செய்து அனுப்பியுள்ளது தெரிய வந்தது. இதையடுத்து பதறிப்போன அதிகாரிகள் ரவியைப் பிடித்து மீண்டும் சிறையில் அடைக்க காவல்துறையில் புகார் அளித்துள்ளனர்.

மேலும் பணியில் அஜாக்கிரதையாக இருந்ததாக பிரதீப் என்ற காவலர் உடனடியாக சஸ்பெண்ட் செய்யப்பட்டார். சிறைத்துறை சூப்பிரண்ட் தமிழ்ச்செல்வனிடம் இது குறித்துக் கேட்க தொடர்பு கொண்டபோது அவர் இணைப்பில் வரவில்லை. மேலும் சூப்பிரண்ட் மற்றும் ஜெயிலர் இதற்கு பொறுப்பு என்பதால் விசாரணை நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

ரவியைப் பிடிக்கும் முயற்சியும் நடந்து வருவதாக அதிகாரிகள் தரப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

அப்பாவின் குடிப்பழக்கத்தால் மனம் சோர்ந்த தினேஷ், ஒரு வைகறைப்பொழுதில் ஊர் பார்க்க தூக்கில் தொங்கியபடி தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டான். இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு முன்னர் நடந்த இந்த நிகழ்வு, நமக்கு நினைவிருக்கலாம். 'எப்படியும் டாக்டர் ஆகிவிட வேண்டும்!' என்ற அவனுடைய லட்சியக் கனவுகளை, அப்பாவின் மது எரித்துக் கொன்றது. தினேஷ் இறந்தபோது, அவன் அப்பாவையும் குடும்பத்தையும் சந்திப்பதற்காக திருநெல்வேலியில் உள்ள அவர்கள் வீட்டுக்குச் சென்றேன். 

தற்போது பன்னிரண்டாம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வு முடிவுகள் வெளிவந்திருக்கும் சமயத்தில் தினேஷின் தங்கை தனுஸ்ரீ கூறிய வார்த்தைகள் நினைவுக்கு வருகின்றன. ``அண்ணேன் பன்னிரண்டாவது பரீட்சை எழுதிட்டு வீட்ல இருந்த சமயத்துலதான் இப்படிப் பண்ணிக்கிட்டது. அப்போ ஊர்க்காரங்க எல்லாம் `என்னடா தினேஷ் பாஸ் ஆகிடுவியா?'னு கேப்பாங்க. `என்ன பாஸா... ஆயிரத்துக்குமேல மார்க் நிச்சயம்'னு" எல்லார்கிட்டையும் சொல்லிட்டு இருக்கும்" என்றாள். 

அவன் வார்த்தைகள் பொய்யாகவில்லை. தினேஷ், சொன்னதை நிரூபித்துவிட்டான். தற்போது வெளிவந்திருக்கும் பன்னிரண்டாம் வகுப்புத் தேர்வில் அவன் எடுத்த மதிப்பெண் 1,024.

ஆனால், இதைக் கண்டு ரசிக்க, தன் உழைப்பின் பலனைக் கண்டு ஆனந்தப்பட இன்று அவன் உயிரோடு இல்லை. தங்களின் கலங்கரை விளக்கம் அணைந்துபோன துயரத்தில் திசையற்றுக் கிடந்த அந்தத் தம்பி-தங்கை, தற்போது அண்ணனின் மதிப்பெண் பார்க்கும்போது அழுவார்களா... ஆனந்தப்படுவார்களா? அந்த மழலைகளின் முகம் என் நினைவுக்கு வருகிறது.

ஊருக்குச் சென்றபோது தினேஷின் தம்பி பாலச்சந்தரிடம் அண்ணனைப் பற்றிக் கேட்டபோது "எங்க அண்ணன் பத்தாவதுல 468 மார்க். இங்கிலீஷ்லாம் சூப்பரா படிக்கும். எனக்கும் நிறைய சொல்லிக்கொடுக்கும். அதுக்கு டாக்டர் ஆகணும்னு ரொம்ப ஆசை. அதோட, எல்லா நோட்டுபுக்லயும் 'தினேஷ் நல்லசிவன் எம்.பி.பி.எஸ்'னு எழுதிவெச்சிருக்கும். ப்ளஸ் டூ-வுல நிச்சயமா ஆயிரத்துக்கு மேலதான் வாங்கும்"  என்றவன் தன் தங்கை தனுஸ்ரீயைப் பார்த்து ``பாப்பா, அண்ணனோட அந்த நோட்டை எடுத்துட்டு வாயேன்" என அவன் சொன்னதுதான் தாமதம், அண்ணன் இறந்துபோன துக்கத்தையும் மீறி அவன் எழுதிவைத்திருப்பதைப் பெருமிதமாகக் கொண்டுவந்து காண்பித்த அந்தக் குழந்தைத்தனம், தினேஷுடைய இழப்பின் கனத்தை இன்னும் கூட்டியது.  இந்தப் பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தாயாக இருந்து வழிகாட்டியவன் எப்படி தன்னை மாய்த்துக்கொள்ளத் துணிந்தான் என்ற கேள்வியும் என்னை அரித்தது. அவன் மனம் வெறுத்துப்போகும் அளவுக்கு தந்தையின் குடிப்பழக்கம் தினேஷை அவமானப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறது. 

பேச்சுக்குப் பேச்சு `அண்ணா' என்றழைக்கும் அந்தப் பிள்ளைகளை விட்டுவர மனம் இல்லாமல், தயக்கத்துடன் அவர்கள் வீட்டிலிருந்து வெளியேற நேர்ந்தது. 

அக்கம்பக்கத்தில் உள்ள கிராமவாசிகளிடம் பேசினேன் ``நல்லா துடியான பய, கிடைக்கிற நேரத்திலெல்லாம் வேலைக்குப் போயிடுவான். பெயின்ட் அடிக்க, மரம் ஏர்ற, காத்தாடி ஆலைக்குன்னு எந்த வேலைக்குன்னாலும் போவான். கொடுத்த வேலைகளைத் திருத்தமா செய்வான். அவன் சம்பாதிச்சு கொண்டுவர பணத்தையெல்லாம் சண்டைபோட்டுப் புடுங்கி, குடிக்க ஆரம்பிச்சார் அவங்க அப்பா. பையன் சலிச்சுப்போயி ரோஷப்பட்டுட்டான். ஆனா, இப்போ யாருக்கு நஷ்டம். அந்த ஆளு குத்துக்கல்லு மாதிரியில்ல உக்காந்திருக்கான். அந்தப் பிள்ளைங்களைப் பார்த்தீங்களா..?” என்றார் ஊர்க்காரர் ஒருவர். 

பாளையங்கோட்டையில் உள்ள ஒரு பள்ளியில், தினேஷ் நீட் தேர்வு எழுதுவதாக இருந்தது. தேர்வில் வெற்றி பெறுவோமா என்ற பயம், சித்தியுடன் ஏற்பட்ட மனக்கசப்பு, அப்பா தினமும் குடிப்பதால் ஏற்படும் மனஉளைச்சல் என எல்லாம் சேர்ந்து அவனை அழுத்தியிருக்கின்றன. மேற்கொண்டு தாக்குப்பிடிக்க முடியாமல் வீட்டிலிருந்து வெளியேறி ஓர் அதிகாலைப் பொழுதில் பாளையங்கோட்டை ரயில்வே பாலத்தின் மீதேறி நைலான் கயிற்றின் உதவியுடன் தன் வாழ்க்கையை முடித்துக்கொண்டான் அந்த மாணவன்.

தான் இறப்பதற்கு முக்கியக் காரணமாக அவன் நினைத்தது, அப்பாவின் குடிப்பழக்கம். அதற்குக் காரணம், டாஸ்மாக். இனி யாருடைய மரணத்துக்கும் மதுப்பழக்கம் காரணமாகிவிடக் கூடாது என்று தற்கொலை செய்துகொள்வதற்கு 'மது ஒழிய வேண்டும்' என மரண வாக்குமூலம் எழுதி வைத்துவிட்டு தொண்டை எலும்புகள் முறிய அந்தரத்தில் தொங்கியிருக்கிறான் தினேஷ்.

எத்தனையோ மரணங்களுக்குக் காரணமாக இருக்கும் டாஸ்மாக்கும் அதை ஏற்று நடத்தும் அரசாங்கமும் இந்தச் சாராய வியாபாரத்தை நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளப்போகிறதா அல்லது குடிக்கும் அப்பாக்களும், கணவன்களும், அண்ணன்களும், தம்பிகளும் திருந்திவிடப்போகிறார்களா?

மதுப்பழக்கத்தை கைவிடுவதற்கு, நம் வீட்டிலும் ஒரு தற்கொலைக்காக நாம் காத்திருக்கப்போகிறோமா..?

`பிரதான் மந்திரி வாய வந்தனா யோஜனா' ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தின் முதலீட்டு வரம்பை, தற்போதைய அளவான ரூ.7.5 லட்சத்திலிருந்து 15 லட்சமாக அதிகரித்து மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியுள்ளது. மேலும், இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் முதலீட்டுக்கு 8 சதவிகித உறுதியான வட்டி வழங்கப்படும் என்றும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் முதல் தேதி தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்ட மத்திய பட்ஜெட்டில் மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கான பிரதான் மந்திரி வாய வந்தனா யோஜனா திட்டத்தில் முதலீடு வரம்பு உயர்த்தப்படும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. இதை தொடர்ந்து இந்த முடிவு மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

தற்போது வங்கி மற்றும் தபால் நிலையங்களில் மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்காகச் செயல்படுத்தப்படும் சேமிப்புத் திட்டங்களில் முதலீட்டு வரம்பு 15 லட்சம் ரூபாயாக உள்ளது. தற்போது, இதற்கு இணையாக பிரதான் மந்திரி வாய வந்தனா யோஜனா ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்திலும் முதலீட்டு வரம்பு 15 லட்சம் ரூபாயாக அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. மேலும், பிரதான் மந்திரி வாய வந்தனா யோஜனா ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தின் கால அளவும் 2020-ம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 31-ம் தேதி வரையில் நீடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தத் திட்டம் கடந்த ஆண்டு மே மாதம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இதுவரை 2.20 லட்சம் மூத்த குடிமக்கள், இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் பயனடைந்துள்ளனர். 

60 வயதை எட்டிய மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்காக எல்.ஐ.சி-யால் செயல்படுத்தப்படும் இந்தத் திட்டத்தில், ஒருவர் 15 லட்சம் ரூபாய் முதலீடு செய்தால், 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மாதம்தோறும் 10,000 ரூபாய் ஓய்வூதியமாகக் கிடைக்கும்.  மூத்த குடிமக்கள் 7.50 லட்சம் ரூபாய் முதலீடு செய்தால் மாதம்தோறும் 5,000 ரூபாய் ஓய்வூதியம் பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குக் கிடைக்கும். இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் செய்யப்படும் முதலீட்டுக்கு வருமானவரி விலக்கு இல்லை. இந்தத் திட்டத்தில் முதலீடு செய்துள்ள மூத்த குடிமக்கள் பத்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இறந்துவிட்டால், அவரின் பயனாளிக்கு அவர் எந்தத் தொகைக்கு பாலிசி எடுத்துள்ளாரோ அந்தத் தொகை வழங்கப்படும். 

இந்த ஓய்வூதியத் திட்டத்தில் முதலீடு செய்யும் மூத்த குடிமக்கள்,  ஓய்வூதியத்தை மாதம்தோறும், கால் ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருமுறை  அல்லது அரை ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருமுறை பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் வசதி உள்ளது. பாலிசி முடிவடையும் காலத்துக்கு முன்பாக கணவன் அல்லது மனைவிக்கு உடல் நலன் மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு விலக நேரிட்டால், பாலிசி எடுத்த தொகையிலிருந்து 98 சதவிகிதம் திருப்பி அளிக்கப்படும். இதில் 8 சதவிகிதம் உறுதியான வட்டி வழங்கப்படும். மேலும், இதில் முதலீடு செய்தால் 75 சதவிகிதக் கடனும் பெறலாம். இந்தக் கடனுக்கான தொகை, பாலிசி தொகை மூலம் பெறப்படும். 

வங்கி, தபால் நிலையச் சேமிப்புத் திட்டங்கள் 

வங்கிகள் மற்றும் தபால் நிலையங்கள், மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்காகச் சிறப்பு சேமிப்புத் திட்டங்களை வைத்துள்ளன. இந்தச் சேமிப்பு திட்டக் கணக்குகள் அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற வங்கி தபால் நிலையங்களில் தொடங்க முடியும். இந்தச் சேமிப்புத் திட்டத்தில் ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முதலீடு செய்யும் மூத்த குடிமக்களுக்கு 8.3 சதவிகிதம் வட்டி வழங்கப்படுகிறது. 60 வயதுடைய மூத்த குடிமக்கள் ஒன்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட சேமிப்புத் திட்டங்களில் முதலீடு செய்ய முடியும். மேலும், 15 லட்சம் ரூபாய் வரை முதலீடு செய்யலாம். வி.ஆர்.எஸ் பெற்ற 55 வயது முதல் 60 வயதுடைய மூத்த குடிமக்களும் இந்தச் சேமிப்புத் திட்டத்தில் முதலீடு செய்யலாம். ஆனால், அவர்களின் ஓய்வு பலன்கள் கிடைத்த ஒரு மாதத்துக்குள்ளாகவும், அவர்களின் முதலீடு ஓய்வு பலன்களைவிட அதிகமாகவும் இருக்கக் கூடாது

வங்கி மற்றும் தபால் நிலையங்களில் செய்யப்படும் மூத்த குடிமக்கள் செய்யும் முதலீடுகள் வருமான வரிச் சட்டம 1961, பிரிவு 80சி-யின் கீழ் விலக்கு அளிக்கப்படுகிறது. மேலும், சேமிப்புக் கணக்கு தொடங்கும்போதே அல்லது தொடங்கிய பிறகோ வாரிசுதாரரை நியமிக்கும் வசதியும் உள்ளது. இந்தச் சேமிப்புத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஒருவர் எத்தனை கணக்குகளும் தொடங்கலாம். ஆனால், முதலீட்டுத்தொகை முதலீட்டு வரம்புக்குள் இருக்க வேண்டும். ஜாயின்ட் அக்கவுன்ட், மனைவி உடன் சேர்ந்துதான் தொடங்க முடியும். இந்தத் திட்டம் முதிர்வடைந்த பிறகு மேலும் மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குக் காலநீடிப்பு செய்யும் வசதி உள்ளது. இதற்கு, இந்தச் சேமிப்புத் திட்டம் தொடங்கி ஓர் ஆண்டு நிறைவடைந்தவுடன் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும். 

காப்பீட்டுத் திட்டங்கள் 

காப்பீட்டு நிறுவனங்கள் செயல்படுத்தும் திட்டங்களில், மூத்த குடிமக்கள் ஒரு பெரிய தொகையை முதலீடு செய்தால் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் ஓய்வூதியம் கிடைக்கும் வகையில் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. மேலும், இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் மனைவி மற்றும் குழந்தைகளுக்கும் பென்ஷன் கிடைக்க வழிவகை செய்கிறது. ஆனால், இந்தத் திட்டத்திலிருந்து கிடைக்கும் பலன்கள் மிக குறைவே. மேலும், இந்தத் திட்டங்களில் வட்டிவிகிதம் 6-7 சதவிகிதமாகவே உள்ளன. இந்தத் திட்டங்களுக்கு வருமானவரியிலிருந்து விலக்கும் அளிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. எனவே, இந்தத் திட்டங்கள் காப்பீட்டு நிறுவனங்களுக்கு முக்கிய வர்த்தகமாக இருப்பதில்லை. 

வங்கிகள் மூத்த குடிமக்களின் ஃபிக்ஸெட் டெபாசிட் முதலீடுகளுக்குக் கூடுதல் வட்டி அளித்துவருகின்றன. இதில் குறிப்பாக, எஸ்.பி.ஐ வங்கி, மூத்த குடிமக்களின் 5-10 ஆண்டுகள் வரையிலான ஃபிக்ஸெட் டெபாசிட்களுக்கு 7.25 சதவிகித வட்டி வழங்குகிறது. எனவே, மூத்த குடிமக்கள் தங்கள் ஓய்வூதியப் பலனில் ஒரு பகுதியை பிரதான் மந்திரி வாய வந்தனா யோஜனாவில் முதலீடு செய்வது மிகவும் சிறந்ததாக இருக்கும்.

Officials say there would be no pre-qualifying exams like CET, IELTS for admissions in universities in Russia. 


This is being done with the intention to support their eligibility to pursue bachelor/post graduate programs.

Chennai: The 19th edition of the Russian Education Fair is all set to be held on May 19 and 20 in association with Study Abroad - The authorised Indian Representative for Russian Universities.

The fair would be open from 10 am to 5 pm on both the days and the management has also said that there would be spot admissions along with the free entry.

This is being done with the intention to support their eligibility to pursue bachelor/post graduate programs.

Officials say there would be no pre-qualifying exams like CET, IELTS for admissions in universities in Russia. However, MCI as a special case for the year 2018 has exempted students from writing Neet who had been admitted in medical courses overseas.

"India and Russia share a strong bilateral relationship for ages. Pacts in fields such as space research, engineering, technology, bio-chemistry, medicine etc. require a large number of well-trained personnel. Indian students receiving higher education in Russia will be best choices as their exposure to both the worlds will be a good basis for supporting each other and growing bilaterally," said Mikhail J. Gorbatov, Vice-Consul (Cultural), Consulate General of the Russian Federation in South India.
