Huge rush expected in Ayodhya around New Year, all hotels booked till Jan 15

Ayodhya : Hotel accommodations have been overbooked in Ayodhya for Ram Temple darshan on Jan 1, as the temple trust has extended visiting hours and implemented comprehensive arrangements to manage the anticipated surge of devotees. Nearly all lodgings in Ayodhya and Faizabad are fully reserved through the first fortnight of the New Year. Managing director of Ayodhya’s newly built hotel Maan Avadh, Vishal Ganjoor, said, “We are ready to welcome the devotees in the New Year. All our rooms are sold out till Jan 15. People are upbeat about beginning the New Year with the blessings of Lord Ram.” 

According to the temple trust, since the consecration ceremony, more than 3 crore devotees from across the nation and overseas have visited Ram Lalla, with December 25 alone recording 1.33 lakh foot fall at the temple. An average of 80,000 devotees have visited the Ram temple daily since the consecration ceremony.

Ayodhya SSP Rajkaran Nayyar said that there will be robust security arrangements at Ram temple, Hanumangarhi, Lata Chowk, Guptar Ghat, Surajkund, and other tourist spots for the New Year.
