Chennai: Packers co directed to pay Rs 20,000

In the petition, V. Saravanan, Pammal, submitted that he was working in a private company in Chennai.
Chennai: The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Chennai (North), has directed a packers and movers company to pay a compensation of `20,000 to a person for causing damage to his bike during transit from Chennai to Pune.
In the petition, V. Saravanan, Pammal, submitted that he was working in a private company in Chennai.
After he was transferred to Pune in February 2015, he approached Agarwal Packers and Movers to shift his household articles, including his Honda Motor bike, to Pune. The workers from Agarwal Packers and Movers, Anna Nagar (East), packed and loaded the articles and bike on February 2, 2015 into their vehicle. He paid a sum of `12,650 towards charges for transport. Agarwal Packers had delivered goods in Pune on March 7. 2015.
He noticed that his bike’s petrol tank, visor and rear indicator were damaged badly at the time of delivery.
He sent several mails to the company about the damage. After checking a supervisor of Agarwal Packers, he asked him to apply for insurance claim. The supervisor also assured him that the company would pay the difference amount.
The insurance firm paid Rs 4,300 out of the total `11,077 incurred for repair.
Again he sent representations to Managers of Pune and Anna Nagar’s division of Agarwal Packers and the managing director of the company seeking balance amount from the company.
However, the company had not paid the amount. He filed the complainant claiming `11,077 for damage and compensation for deficiency in service and mental agony.
In its reply, Agarwal Packers submitted that the company asked him to provide the documents or surveyor report. He had not given any documents to show that the Insurance Company paid Rs 4,300. He can withdraw the complaint after producing documents or surveyor report.
The bench comprising president K.Jayabalan and member M.Uyirroli Kannan said that the damage was caused to bike during transit. Hence the company liable to pay for the damage caused to the vehicle. The bench directed the company to pay him a compensation of `20,102 for causing him mental agony.

Andhra Pradesh gets exemption in medical seats

Dr Srinivas who is in New Delhi has stated that Andhra Pradesh has got an entry in to National Pool.
The students of Andhra Pradesh will have the facility to contest for almost 4,482 seats through Neet exam.
Vijaywada: The Union government of India has given exemption to Andhra Pradesh from Clause 371D, minister for medical & health, Dr Kamineni Srinivas stated in Delhi on Tuesday. Due to this, the students of Andhra Pradesh will have the facility to contest for almost 4,482 seats through Neet exam.
Dr Srinivas who is in New Delhi has stated that the Andhra Pradesh has got an entry in to National Pool. Along with AP, Telangana and Jammu Kashmir have also entered. Dr Srinivas has expressed AP’s thankfulness to the Union government. The Telangana government had also given a no-objection letter to the government for the exemption from 371D, according to Dr Srinivas.
This exemption will be implemented from 2018-19. Presently nationwide there are 27,710 medical seats with 1,900 seats in AP. If the state gives up 285 seats to the National Pool, the students of AP will get a chance to appear for 4,482 seats through Neet. As far as PG seats concerned, nationwide there are 13,872 seats, AP has 660 seats. If the state gives up 330 PG seats, the students will have the chance to appear for 7,236 seats.

It turns out it is a part of his undeveloped twin, penis is surgically removed.

In a shocking case, a baby boy was born with an extra penis on his back. He had to had the organ removed.
According to his doctors the additional penis is believed to be all that was left of a parasitic twin who failed to develop.
The unnamed baby is already home and is as healthy as any other newborn.
A doctor treating the child said, his parents and doctors were unaware he had the growth until he was born.
The penis on the back is a parasitic growth.
The operation was carried out at the Scientific Research Institute of Pediatrics in Baku, Azerbaijani.
Head of the institute's neonatology department Gunduz Agayev said: 'The baby has a normal sexual organ where it is supposed to be.
Speaking of the undeveloped parasitic twin, Agayev added: 'Practically all there was left from him was a penis that got attached to the brother's back inside the womb.'
The newborn's back was not badly affected by the surgery, although he will be left with a small scar. He is now recovering well at home.
The baby’s name and where he lives was not revealed to protect his privacy as he grows up.
