பிரேக்- அப் பாடம்: ஃபேஸ்புக்கில் காதல் டமாரம் நல்லதா?

இந்தச் சமூக ஊடக யுகத்தில், ஒருவருடன் காதல் ஏற்பட்டாலே, ‘ரிலேஷன்ஷிப் வித் ... ’ என்று அறிவித்துவிடுகிறார்கள். அந்தக் காதல் இடையிலேயே முறிந்தால், அதற்கான காரணத்தையும் அவர்கள் சமூக ஊடக உலகில் அறிவிக்கிறார்கள். காதல் என்பது இரண்டு தனிப்பட்ட நபர்களின் விஷயம் என்பது இன்றைய சமூக வலைத்தள காலத்தில் மாறிவிட்டது.

மாறும் ஸ்டேட்டஸ்

ஃபேஸ்புக்கில் ‘ரிலெஷன்ஷிப் ஸ்டேட்டஸ்’ மாறுவதில் தொடங்கி படங்கள் பகிர்வது, அதற்கு நட்புவட்டம் லைக்ஸ், கமெண்ட்ஸ் மூலம் ஏகபோக வரவேற்பு அளிப்பது எனச் சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் காதலுக்கும் காதலர்களுக்கும் மதிப்பு எப்போதும் அதிகம். ஆனால், இந்த வரவேற்பே காதலர்கள் பிரிவதற்கும் அவர்களுக்குள் பிரச்சினையாக உருவாவதற்கும் நூறு சதவீதம் வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது. முன்பெல்லாம் காதலர்கள் பிரிந்தால், அதுபற்றிய தகவல்களை யாருக்கும் தெரிவிக்க வேண்டியதில்லை. ஆனால், இன்று காதல் பிரேக்-அப் ஆனால், அதை அறிவிக்க வேண்டியிருக்கிறது.
காதலர்கள் பிரிந்த பிறகு ரிலேஷன்ஷிப் ஸ்டேட்டஸை மறுபடியும் மாற்றுவதுடன் மட்டும் அனைத்தும் முடிந்துவிடுவதில்லை. அவர்கள் காதலித்த காலத்தில் போட்ட இருவர் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட பதிவுகள், படங்கள், நண்பர்களின் கமெண்ட்ஸ் என அனைத்தும் அவர்களை ஒரு கட்டம்வரை துரத்தவே செய்யும். இந்த ‘பிரேக்-அப்’புக்குப் பிறகான காலத்தை சமூக வலைதளங்களில் சமாளிப்பதற்கும் நல்ல மனநிலை தேவை.

காதல் போன்ற உறவுகளைப் பற்றிய தனிப்பட்ட விஷயங்களைச் சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் பகிர்வதற்கு முன்பு, ஒருமுறைக்கு பலமுறை யோசியுங்கள். அதற்காக, காதலை சமூக வலைதள நட்புகளிடம் பகிரக் கூடாது என்று அர்த்தம்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். ஃபேஸ்புக்கின் ‘டைம்லைன்’ வருங்காலங்களிலும் நாம் மறக்க நினைக்கும் விஷயங்களைக் நமக்கு நினைவுப்படுத்தும். எனவே அதையும் கணக்கில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளத்தான் வேண்டும். பொதுவாக பிரேக்-அப்புக்கு பிறகான காலத்தில் காதலர்கள் ‘எமோஷனலாக’ பலவீனமாக இருப்பார்கள். ஒரு வேளை, காதலை வலைத்தளத்தில் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தால் பிரேக் அப்புக்கு பிறகு, சில ஆண்டுகள் கழித்துக்கூட ஃபேஸ்புக் நட்புவட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் நண்பர்கள் அதுபற்றி உங்களிடம் கேள்வி எழுப்பலாம். பழைய காதல் உறவை எப்போது, யார் கேட்டாலும் அது நிச்சயம் பாதிக்கவே செய்யும் என்பதையும் கவனத்தில்கொள்ள வேண்டுமல்லவா?

நீக்குவது நல்லதா?

சில காதலர்கள் பரஸ்பர புரிதலுடனும் பக்குவத்துடனும் பிரிவதும் உண்டு. அப்படிப்பட்ட பிரேக் அப்பில் எந்தச் சிக்கலும் வராது. மாறாக, நிர்பந்த அடிப்படையிலோ, அதிருப்தியாலோ ஒருவர் பிரியும்போது, இன்னொரு தரப்பின் ஏமாற்றம், கோபம், இயலாமை அனைத்தும் சமூகவலைத்தளங்களில்தான் முதலில் வெளிப்படும். இந்தச் சூழ்நிலை சில சமயம் சிக்கலில் மாட்டவும் வைத்துவிடும். எனவே ஒருவரை விட்டு பிரிந்த பிறகு அந்த நினைவுகள் எந்தவிதத்திலும் நம்மைப் பாதிக்காமல் இருக்க முன்னாள் காதலரை ஃபேஸ்புக்கில் ‘அன்ஃப்ரெண்டு’ செய்வது பற்றியும் யோசிக்கலாம். இல்லாவிட்டால், ஏதோவொரு விதத்தில் அவருடைய செயல்பாடுகள் பற்றிய செய்திகள் உங்களைப் பாதிக்கலாம்.

படங்களை நீக்கலாம்

‘பிரேக்-அப்’புக்குப் பிறகு காதலர்கள் சேர்ந்து எடுத்த படங்களை மொத்தமாக ஃபேஸ்புக், இன்ஸ்டாகிராமில் இருந்து நீக்குவது நல்லது. இல்லாவிட்டால் ஏதோவொரு கட்டத்தில் அந்தப் படங்கள் உங்கள் நிகழ்காலத்துக்கு குந்தகம் ஏற்படுத்தலாம். மேலும் பிரேக்-அப் பற்றிய நினைவுகள் துரத்துவதிலிருந்தும் விடுபடலாம்.
காதல் மட்டுல்ல, எந்த உறவாக இருந்தாலும் பிரிவு துயரமானதுதான். அந்தப் பிரிவு நிரந்தரமானதாகவும் இருக்கலாம். தற்காலிகமானதாகவும் இருக்கலாம். அந்தப் பிரிவுக்கு பிறகான நேரத்தை எப்படி கடக்கிறோம் என்பதில்தான் உறவுகளைப் பற்றிய புரிதலும் அடங்கியிருக்கிறது.

மருத்துவ மாணவர் சேர்க்கையில் வெளிமாநில மாணவர்களுக்கு இரட்டை இருப்பிடச் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கியதாகத் தொடரப்பட்ட வழக்கில் 30 வட்டாட்சியர்கள் உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜராகினர்.

புதுக்கோட்டையைச் சேர்ந்த விக்நயா உள்ளிட்ட பலர் சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் தாக்கல் செய்த மனுவில், 'மருத்துவ இடங்களைப் பெற வெளி மாநில மாணவர்கள் இரட்டை இருப்பிடச் சான்றிதழைக் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். எனவே, மருத்துவ மாணவர் சேர்க்கைக்காக வெளியிடப்பட்ட தகுதிப் பட்டியலை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும்' எனக் கோரியிருந்தார். இந்த மனுவை விசாரித்த உயர்நீதிமன்றம் இருப்பிடச் சான்று வழங்கிய வட்டாட்சியர்கள் நேரில் ஆஜராக உத்தரவிட்டிருந்தது.

இந்த வழக்கு நீதிபதி கிருபாகரன் முன் வெள்ளிக்கிழமை விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. இருப்பிடச் சான்று வழங்கிய 30 வட்டாட்சியர்களும் நேரில் ஆஜராகினர். ஆவணங்களை முறையாகச் சரிபார்த்த பின்னரே மாணவர்களுக்கு சான்று 

வழங்கியதாக வட்டாட்சியர்கள் தரப்பில் தெரிவித்தனர். இதற்கு மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் எதிர்ப்புத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. இதனையடுத்து வழக்கின் விசாரணையை வரும் ஜன. 8-ஆம் தேதிக்கு ஒத்திவைத்து நீதிபதி உத்தரவிட்டார்.

NGOs asked to open a/c in designated banks

NGOs, business entities and individuals who have permission to receive foreign funds will have to open accounts in any of the 32 designated banks, including a foreign one, by the third week of January.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked all those having licence under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010 or prior permission to receive foreign donations will have to do so by January 21.

The notice issued by the MHA on December 21 has said that such funds received under FCRA should not be utilised for activities detrimental to the national interest.Early this year, around 9,000 NGOs were asked to open accounts in banks having core banking facilities and furnish details for real-time access to security agencies in case of any discrepancy."The Central government has decided that all banks where the FCRA registered persons/organisations have opened their FC accounts would be integrated with Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for providing a higher level of transparency and hassle-free reporting compliance," it said.

The FCRA 2010 provides for the regulation of acceptance of the foreign funds or foreign hospitality by certain individuals, associations, organisations and companies "to ensure that such contributions or hospitality is not being utilised for the activities detrimental to the national interest", it said.

The NGOs and others will have to provide an intimation to the MHA about the details of the bank accounts under a prescribed form.Some banks have already integrated their systems with the PFMS for compliance of the central government's order, many banks have still not completed the integration of their systems with the PFMS despite repeated letters, directions and meetings, the MHA said.

While Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is a foreign bank in the list, the other banks include ICICI Bank, Cosmos Co-Operative Bank, Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, South Indian Bank, IDBI Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd, The Catholic Syrian Bank Ltd, HDFC Bank, UCO Bank, IndusInd Bank Limited, City Union Bank and Syndicate Bank.

Allahabad Bank, The Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd, Punjab National Bank, Allahabad UP Gramin Bank, DCB Bank Ltd, Manipur State Co-op Bank, Vijaya Bank, Bombay Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd, Yes Bank, Oriental Bank Of commerce, Dena Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Andhra Bank and Axis Bank are also in the list.

Last week, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju told Parliament that the registrations of 18,868 NGOs were cancelled between 2011 and 2017 for violating laws. Following the action, foreign funding to Indian NGOs has also come down drastically--from Rs 17,773 crore in 2015-16 to Rs 6,499 crore in 2016-17.

Rijiju had said the quantum of foreign funding received by NGOs in India in the last three years were: Rs 15,299 crore in 2014-15, Rs 17,773 crore in 2015-16 and Rs 6,499 crore in 2016-17.

Tamil Nadu: Deemed varsities wary to seek AICTE approval

As per Supreme Court’s order, the All India Council for Technical Education’s Approval Process Handbook 2018-19 has made it mandatory for deemed-to-be universities across the nation offering technical and engineering courses to get approval from the council, even to run the existing courses.

Chennai: No one is aware as to how many students are currently studying in 28 deemed universities in the state and there are allegations that these universities are starting new courses and increasing the intake as per the existing demand without any control. Some engineering colleges allege that B.E., B.Tech students who are struggling to finish their courses under Anna University are joining in some deemed universities to complete their courses and some institutions are awarding PhDs for whoever enrolled with them.

With the exception of few top institutions, a majority of the deemed universities are vary of this new regulation. “If we have to come under AICTE then what is the use of deemed university status? Deemed university status was awarded to come out of the ambit of Anna University and AICTE”, a top administrator of the deemed university in the city said.

He further said deemed universities come under the UGC and their committees are inspecting our campuses for every five years. When asked about the increasing the seats he said, “There are more than one lakh seats vacant in the AICTE affiliated colleges in the state and the fees fixed in the colleges also are very low. Deemed universities are charging high fees. But, why are the students still joining our institutions?” he asked. Another official from the deemed university situated in OMR said some universities in the state are willing to go for the approval.

“We are maintaining the standards in terms of facilities and faculty members. So getting the approval is not an issue”. He also said the approval process may affect some deemed to be institutions. “The engineering seats in the deemed universities where the numbers are exorbitant it will be reduced. At the same time, it will not increase the number of admissions in engineering colleges as most of our students are from other states”, the official noted.

Another academician who works in an engineering institution said, “If these institutions run 20-25 batches in a year, they start 10 to 15 batches in a stream which has demand in that year. They recruit the faculty later and the details of the infrastructures are not known”. Very few deemed universities following the standards and going for accreditation. “AICTE will check the lab facilities, infrastructures and faculty strength before allowing them to add more seats. The artificial increase will not be there. Students will get quality engineering education”, he added.

Already two deemed universities — Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women - are getting the approval from the technical education council. “Deemed universities are so far not required to take the AICTE’s approval as per UGC Act. Now, the Supreme Court has directed we should do it”, AICTE chairman Anil D.Sahasrabudhe told Deccan Chronicle.

“Whatever number of seats they are currently running they will not get more. They will get the approval up to the existing number of seats provided they have facilities to that many students and divisions,” he said. He added that if they lack in infrastructure and staff members the number of seats will be reduced. “The particular institution has facilities like computers, labs, classrooms then it will not have any problem”, he said. The submission of online application to get AICTE’s approval begins on January 1.

New Delhi: Indians have become more open to experimenting with global cuisines but when it comes to ordering online, desi dishes continue to rule the roost, with 'chicken biryani' topping the list, according to a survey.

Masala dosa, butter naan, tandoori roti and paneer butter masala complete the list of the top five most ordered items of 2017, the survey by online food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy said.

Although pizza, a highly sought-after item of the millennials, was the most searched dish on its platform, it did not find a place in the the top five list, according to 'Stateatstics 2017' released by Swiggy.

"In fact, Indians have searched for it over 5 lakh times! The other searched items include Burger, Chicken, Cake and Momos," it added.

According to the survey, over the past couple of years, India has witnessed a growing appetite for both Indian and international cuisine.

"In 2017, while Indians showed an interest in exploring and experimenting with their food choices, most stayed indigenous as desi dishes topped the list of most ordered food items online," the survey said.

It further added: "Chicken Biryani continued to rule the palate. Masala Dosa, Butter Naan, Tandoori Roti and Paneer Butter Masala rounded off the top five most ordered items of 2017."

The findings are derived from Swiggy's order analysis for the last 12 months for Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune.

For breakfast, southern dishes masala dosa, idli and vada ruled the menu for most Indians, while for "primary meals like lunch and dinner, most people preferred Biryanis (chicken, mutton and veg) followed by Paneer Butter Masala and Masala Dosa, Dal Makhani and Chicken Fried Rice".

While for snacks, Indians munched the most on pav bhaji, French fries, samosas, chicken roll, chicken burger and bhel puri.

In Mumbai, pav bhaji remained on the top, while most cities had chicken biryani as their most ordered food item.

"Delhi and Gurgaon chose to order more of Dal Makhani and Naan, suggesting that local cuisines in each of these regions take precedence," it said, adding "On the other hand, NewDelhi also sees the maximum amount of Pasta being ordered vis-a-vis other cities."

In Kolkata, people preferred to order biryanis and fried rice for their meals and kachoris for breakfast and snacks, while, in Chennai it was pongal and biryanis.

In Pune, people preferred dal khichdi over biryani for lunch and most Bangaloreans preferred South Indian basics for breakfast and chicken biryani for meals.

MHA names 32 select banks for NGOs getting foreign aid

New Delhi: The home ministry has directed all NGOs and entities receiving foreign funding to open accounts in any of the 32 designated banks integrated with the government’s public financial management system (PFMS) within a month. The ministry, in an order issued on December 21, said this would ensure a higher level of transparency in their foreign contribution receipts.

“The central government has decided that all banks where the FCRA registered persons/organisations have opened their FC (foreign contribution) account would be integrated with the PFMS for providing a higher level of transparency and hassle-free reporting compliance,” the order said.

The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, provides for regulation of acceptance of foreign funds or foreign hospitality by certain individuals, associations, organisations and companies “to ensure that such contributions or hospitality is not being utilised for activities detrimental to the national interest”, the ministry said.

Among the 32 designated banks where individuals, NGOs and other entities can open their accounts are Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, ICICI Bank, Cosmos Co-Operative Bank, Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India, South Indian Bank, IDBI Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, HDFC Bank, UCO Bank and IndusInd Bank.

44 dalits, who were torched alive in 1968, remembered

Trichy: The 49th anniversary of ‘Venmani Martyrs Day’ was observed on Monday, remebering the sacrifice of 44 people from the dalit community, incuding women and children, who were burned alive by their landlord for demanding higher wages.

Members of the general public and political leaders paid floral tributes at the memorial site of the martyrs in Keezhvenmani village, near Nagapattinam.

Paying homage to the deceased, CPM state secretary G Ramakrishnan said that his party would continue to work hard for ensuring the rights of farmers.

The Keezhvenmani massacre took place in the night of December 25, 1968, at Keezhvenmani village in the erstwhile Thanjavur district.

As many as 44 dalit agriculture workers, who were staging a stir demanding higher wages, were forcibly locked in a hut and torched alive by the landlord.
