All govt hosps may get five more PG seats

The Medical Council of India has given one more chance to all Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) running post-graduate (PG) courses in various superspecialties to apply for one-time increase of five seats. In a letter dated May 19 to all GMCs, the council has asked them to apply for the increase by May 23 in the required format. MCI has also asked these institutes to file information on the number of faculty , including professors, APs, assistant professors, and information on the units, beds, specialised equipment, and seats.
