Twice married man ties the knot with a minor, held

The Pudukkottai all-women police on Sunday arrested a 36-year-old man on charges of marrying two women and a girl. He was picked up based on a complaint from aSingaporean native whom he had married and allegedly cheated her of ₹72 lakh.
The accused was identified as Sakthi Ganesh alias Solai Ganesh from Vasanthapuri Nagar in Pudukkottai. Police said that the accused was married twice and had kept his marital status a secret as he got married to a 17-year-old girl in Pudukkottai recently.
Though he had a wife in Pudukkottai Sakthi Ganesh married Arockiamary Agnes, 39, a Singapore citizen, in 2010 and started living with her in Singapore. However, the woman found out that he was already married when she made a visit to Pudukkottai. Learning that she was cheated, Arockiamary went back to Singapore alone in 2016. However, Sakthi snapped ties with Arockiamary and married a 17-year-old girl last year, this time too concealing his previous marital status.
Arockiamary, who came to know about this, flew back to Pudukkottai a few days ago and lodged a complaint against Sakthi with the Pudukkottai all-women police. She told police that Sakthi had cheated her of ₹72 lakh and bought a plot in Pudukkottai. Police arrested him on Sunday after they found out that the accused had cheated the two women. TNN
