Varsity inks pact with firm

Sathyabama University has signed an agreement with GE Healthcare to augment students’ skills and bridge the industry-academia gap. A GE-Sathyabama Centre of Academic Excellence is proposed to be jointly set up to offer the courses that will include classroom training and interactive hands-on training. Maneesh Pherwani, general manager, education South Asia, GE Healthcare, said the collaboration will address the existing skill gap and create a meaningful and sustainable impact.
Mariazeena Johnson, Pro-Chancellor of Sathyabama University, Marie Johnson, Vice President, GE Healthcare, were present.
