ஜேசுதாசுக்கு பாத பூஜை செய்த எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம்

சினிமா பின்னணி பாடகர் எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் பாட ஆரம்பித்து 50 வருடங்கள் ஆகின்றன. இதையொட்டி, அவர் உலகம் முழுவதும் இசை நிகழ்ச்சி நடத்த முடிவு செய்தார். கனடா, மலேசியா, ரஷியா, இலங்கை, துபாய், அமெரிக்கா ஆகிய நாடுகளில் அவர் இசை நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்திவிட்டு சென்னை திரும்பினார்.

நேற்று சென்னையில் அவர், நிருபர்களுக்கு பேட்டி அளித்தார். அப்போது பின்னணி பாடகர் ஜேசுதாசையும், அவரது மனைவி பிரபாவையும் மேடைக்கு அழைத்து அவர்களுக்கு, எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியமும், அவரது மனைவி சாவித்ரியும் பாத பூஜை செய்து, கால்களில் விழுந்து வணங்கினார்கள்.

பின்னர் அவர், நிருபர்கள் மத்தியில் பேசினார். அப்போது அவர் கூறியதாவது:-

50 வருடங்கள் என்பது சாதனை அல்ல. ஜேசுதாஸ் அண்ணா 55 வருடங்களாக பாடி வருகிறார். ஜானகி, சுசிலா, லதா மங்கேஸ்கர் போன்றவர்கள் 75 வருடங்களுக்கு மேல் பாடி வருகிறார்கள். என் குரு ஜேசுதாஸ். அவருக்கு காணிக்கை செலுத்தும்விதமாக நான் பாத பூஜை செய்தேன். அவர் ஒரு ரிஷி, யோகி. அவர் மாதிரி ஒரு குரல் கிடைப்பது பூர்வஜென்ம புண்ணியம். பூர்வஜென்மத்தில் அவர் புண்ணியம் செய்திருக்கிறார்.

நான் முறையாக சங்கீதம் கற்றுக்கொள்ளாமல், சினிமாவுக்கு பாட வந்தேன். என் தாய்மொழி இசை. 16 அல்லது 17 வயது இருக்கும்போது, ஒரு மேடை கச்சேரியில் பாடினேன். அப்போது என் பாடலை கேட்டு, ஜானகி அம்மா, “நீ சினிமாவுக்கு வந்தால் பெரிய பாடகராகிவிடுவாய், முயற்சி செய்” என்று சொன்னார். எனக்கு பிடித்த பாடகர் முகமது ரபி. அவரை அடுத்து எனக்கு பிடித்தமான பாடகர் ஜேசுதாஸ் அண்ணா. நான் எதிர்பார்த்ததற்கு மேலாக கடவுள் எனக்கு கொடுத்துவிட்டார். தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, இந்தி, மலையாளம், கன்னடம் ஆகிய மொழிகளில் பாடிவிட்டேன். பல நடிகர்களுக்கு இரவல் குரல் கொடுத்திருக்கிறேன். சில அற்புதமான கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்தும் இருக்கிறேன். என் உயர்வுக்கு காரணம், படத்தயாரிப்பாளர்கள், டைரக்டர்கள், இசையமைப்பாளர்கள், சக பின்னணி பாடகர், பாடகிகள், நடிகர்-நடிகைகள். அவர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் நன்றி.

இவ்வாறு எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் கூறினார்.

பின்னணி பாடகர் ஜேசுதாஸ் பேசியதாவது:-

எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் என் உடன்பிறந்த சகோதரரை போன்றவர். அவருக்கு சரஸ்வதியின் ஆசி இருக்கிறது. அவர் எனது சொந்த தம்பி. எங்கள் இருவருக்கும் சரஸ்வதியின் அருள் இருக்கிறது. நாங்கள் ஒருதாய் வயிற்றில் பிறக்காத சகோதரர்கள்.

நான் பாரிஸ் நகரில் ஒருமுறை கச்சேரி செய்துவிட்டு, ஓட்டலுக்கு திரும்பியபோது சாப்பாடு எதுவும் இல்லை. ஒரு ஆப்பிள் பழத்தை சாப்பிட்டு பசியாறலாம் என்று ஆப்பிள் பழத்தை கையில் எடுத்தேன். அப்போது “ரூம் சர்வீஸ்” என்று ஒரு குரல் கேட்டது. கதவை திறந்துபார்த்தால், கையில் சாப்பாடு பிளேட்டுடன் எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தார். அன்று நான் சாப்பிட்டது, என் வாழ்க்கையில் மறக்கமுடியாத சாப்பாடு.

மேற்கண்டவாறு ஜேசுதாஸ் கூறினார்.

நிகழ்ச்சிக்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை எஸ்.பி.பாலசுப்பிரமணியத்தின் மகன் எஸ்.பி.சரண், அவருடைய மனைவி அபர்ணா ஆகிய இருவரும் செய்து இருந்தார்கள்.

ஜெயலலிதாவுடன் 75 நாட்கள்..! சசிகலா உருக்கமான பேச்சு

ஜெயலலிதாவை மீ்ட்டெடுக்க 75 நாட்கள் கடுமையாக போராடினோம். உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த மருத்துவர்களை அழைத்து சிகிச்சை அளித்தோம். ஜெயலலிதாவின் மறைவு கற்பனையிலும் நினைக்காத ஒன்று என்று சசிகலா உருக்கமான பேசினார்.

அதிமுக பொதுச் செயலாளராக சசிகலா இன்று பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டார். பின்னர் நடைபெற்ற நிர்வாகிகள் கூட்டத்தில் சசிகலா பேசுகையில், "தலைமைக்கழக நிர்வாகிகளே, அமைச்சர் பெருமக்களே, மாவட்டச் செயலாளர்களே, நாடாளுமன்ற சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களே, கழகத்தின் பல்வேறு நிர்வாகிகளே, அனைத்து உடன் பிறப்புக்களே உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் எனது பணிவான வணக்கம். என்னைப் பொதுச் செயலாளராக தேர்வு செய்த நிர்வாகிகள் அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி.

அதிமுக தொண்டர்களுக்கு எல்லாமுமாய் திகழ்ந்தவர் ஜெயலலிதா. ஆயிரம் ஆயிரம் கூட்டங்களுக்கு ஜெயலலிதாவுடன் நான் சென்றிருக்கிறேன். ஆனால் இன்று.. (அப்போது சசிகலா கண்ணீர் வடித்தார்). 33 ஆண்டுகளில் ஜெயலலிதா இல்லாமல் பங்கேற்பது முதல் நிகழ்ச்சி என்பதால் வருத்தம் அளிக்கிறது. ஜெயலலிதாவை மீ்ட்டெடுக்க 75 நாட்கள் கடுமையாக போராடினோம். உலகத்தரம் வாய்ந்த மருத்துவர்களை அழைத்து சிகிச்சை அளித்தோம். ஜெயலலிதாவின் மறைவு கற்பனையிலும் நினைக்காத ஒன்று. எனது வார்த்தையை கற்பனையிலும் நினைத்திராத ஒன்று.

நல்ல உடல்நிலை தேறி வந்தநிலையில் ஜெயலலிதா மரணம் நிகழ்ந்துவிட்டது. எனது வேதனையை வார்த்தைகளால் விவரிக்க முடியாது. தேவதையில்லாத அரசியல் மாடம் களையிழந்துவிட்டது. ஜெயலலிதாவின் அரசியல் பிரசேவம் பெண் இனத்திற்கு பெருமை சேர்த்தது. எனது 29-வது வயதில் இருந்து ஜெயலலிதாவுடன் இருந்துள்ளேன். ஜெயலலிதா காட்டிய வழியில் ராணுவ கட்டுப்பாட்டுடன் செயல்படுவோம்.

Confusion over Rs 10 coins puts Vellore traders in a fix

After the angst over demonetisation of `1,000 and `500 notes, the confusion over whether `10 coins are legal tender is adding to the woes of the public, traders and bankers.For the last few days, traders and commercial establishments in Vellore have stopped accepting `10 coins, fearing its genuineness. Though the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) struck down rumours that fake `10 coins were being circulated in large quantities, banks refusing to accept the coins for more than a week now has increased apprehensions.
Bank staff said their work burden has increased post-demonetisation and they were restrained from receiving the coins in large numbers. “We have machines to count currency notes and detect their genuineness. But, this is not the case with coins. If a customer brings `10 coins for thousands of rupees, we have to count it manually . We do not have the luxury of time nor the manpower to do it,“ said a senior officer of State Bank of India, Vellore, seeking anonymity .
“We have pouches for `10 and `5 coins (100 coins in each pouch). We are trying to circulate the coins, but the public are refusing to accept it,“ said staff of a private bank. He added that the coins were not invalid. But, poor communication and rumours had virtual ly nullified the face value of the `10 coins.
Even Aavin outlets and cooperative supermarkets in Vellore desist from receiving the coins. It has sent a wrong signal to the common man.Many shopkeepers, traders and merchants in the city , who accumulated the coins totalling several thousands of rupees, feel that the coins are “dead weight“ now.
A senior official of Indian Bank, which is also the LEAD Bank, said, “The RBI is minting coins to facilitate the traders and merchants. We circulate them. We don't have sufficient space to stock coins in the chest.“ He said `10 coins were valid legal tender and it was an offence not to accept it.
“The banks are refusing to accept the `10 coins. When I went to deposit coins worth `12,000 that we collected from our customers, the bank staff refused to accept it. Since then, we stopped receiving the coins from our customers,“ said an employee of a private firm.

Elders frown on Aadhaar verification for ticket concession

CHENNAI: From January 1, 2017, an additional task awaits passengers attempting to book railway tickets under the senior citizen quota. Aimed at preventing the misuse of the fare concession facility, passengers will have their Aadhaar card details authenticated before they are able to book the tickets. However, the measure announced earlier this month has not gone down well with senior citizens who feel it is unnecessary. Besides, by making them part with Aadhar card details, the elderly claim the move violates a Supreme Court’s order which makes the usage of Aadhaar strictly voluntarily.

According to the relevant document available on the railway ministry website, “From 1st January to 31st March 2017, Aadhaar verification for getting concessional tickets for senior citizens shall be on voluntary basis. With effect from 1st April 2017, Aadhaar verification shall be mandatory.”

As a result, those availing concession on the IRCTC portal will have to first authenticate Aadhaar details by feeding them in the Master List section under ‘My Profile’ and then select verified passengers from the Master List which will pop up during booking. This measure is also applicable for tickets booked over the counter through Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters. In doing so, officials say they aim to prevent misuse of the concession most commonly done by the ticketing agents.

Speaking to Express, an IRCTC official explained that by linking the ticket reservation with Aadhaar details, it will be a proof audit. “There is an endeavour by the railway board to prevent revenue leakage, starting with monitoring the concessionary tickets. There have been several fraudulent instances of agents booking tickets under this facility,” the official said.

The existing method is that no age supporting documents are required while booking, as they are only inspected by the TTE during the journey. Stating it as a complicating move, D Murugan, 65, a native of Salem, said the extra verification step is not needed. “As it is, I am producing a valid ID proof during my journey. What prevents the TTEs from throwing out those who misuse the facility,” he posed.

Others such as T Sadagoppan, president of TN Progressive Consumer Centre, wondered how it can be implemented when the Supreme Court citing privacy issues had clarified that Aadhaar scheme can’t be linked with governmental schemes except for a select few. “The railways can’t force this measure. The court has said it is purely voluntarily,” Sadagoppan said.
