Supreme Court on Monday ruled that a temporary casual labourer in a govt department would beentitled to pensionary benefits on superannuation even in the absence of regularisation of job,reports Amit Anand Choudhary.It took a widow from Bihar, whose husband was a casual worker in a post office for three decades, to fight a legal battle for 18 years through three layers of litigations — central administrative tribunal, Patna high court and Supreme Court —to get the pensionary benefit as the apex court rejected the plea of Centre and passed order in her favour.
