நெல்லை, சேலம் உள்பட 43 ரயில்களின் நேரம் மாற்றம்: புதிய அட்டவணை வெளியீடு

நெல்லை, சேலம் உள்ளிட்ட முக்கிய நகரங்களுக்குச் செல்லும் ரயில்களின் நேரங்கள் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளளன. அதன்படி, சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து திருநெல்வேலி செல்லும் நெல்லை ரயில் இரவு 8.10 மணிக்குப் பதிலாக 7.50 மணிக்குப் புறப்படும். இதேபோன்று சென்னை சென்ட்ரல், எழும்பூர் ஆகிய ரயில் நிலையங்களில் இருந்து புறப்படும், ரயில் நிலையங்களுக்கு வந்து சேரும் 43 ரயில்களின் நேரம் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த நேர மாற்றம் வரும் திங்கள்கிழமை (ஜூலை 1) முதல் நடைமுறைக்கு வருகிறது.
கொல்லம், நிஜாமுதீன் ரயில்கள்: வெளியூர்களில் இருந்து சென்னை எழும்பூர் ரயில்நிலையத்துக்கு வந்தடையும் 13 ரயில்களின் நேரம் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. சேலத்தில் இருந்து சென்னை எழும்பூருக்கு தினசரி அதிகாலை 3.45 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும் விரைவு ரயில் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, 5 நிமிஷம் முன்னதாக அதிகாலை 3.40 மணிக்கு எழும்பூர் வந்து சேரும். கொல்லத்தில் இருந்து சென்னை எழும்பூருக்கு தினசரி காலை 8.10 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும் விரைவு ரயில் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, தினசரி காலை 8.20 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும். 

நிஜாமுதீனில் இருந்து மதுரைக்கு புதன், வெள்ளிக்கிழமை இயக்கப்படும் நிஜாமுதீன் விரைவு ரயில் சென்னை எழும்பூருக்கு மாலை 6.05 மணிக்கு வந்துசேரும். இந்த ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, 10 நிமிஷம் முன்னதாக மாலை 5.55 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும். 

இதுபோன்று, நிஜாமுதீனில் இருந்து எழும்பூர் வழியாக கன்னியாகுமரி செல்லும் விரைவு ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, எழும்பூருக்கு 10 நிமிஷம் முன்னதாக மாலை 5.55 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும்.
இதுதவிர, பிற இடங்களில் இருந்து எழும்பூருக்கு வந்து சேரும் 10 ரயில்களின் நேரம் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.

சென்னை-நெல்லை, குருவாயூர் ரயில்கள்: சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து குருவாயூருக்கு தினசரி காலை 8.15 மணிக்கு புறப்பட வேண்டிய குருவாயூர் விரைவு ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு காலை 8.25 மணிக்கு புறப்படும். சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து கொல்லத்துக்கு தினசரி இரவு 7.50 மணிக்கு புறப்படவேண்டிய விரைவுரயில் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, இரவு 8.10 மணிக்கு புறப்படும். சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து திருநெல்வேலிக்கு தினசரி இரவு 8.10 மணிக்கு புறப்படும் நெல்லை விரைவு ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, இரவு 7.50 மணிக்கு புறப்படும். 

சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து தஞ்சாவூருக்கு தினசரி இரவு 10.40 மணிக்கு புறப்படும் உழவன் விரைவுரயில் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, தினசரி இரவு 10.55 மணிக்கு புறப்படும். சென்னை எழும்பூரில் இருந்து சேலத்துக்கு தினசரி இரவு 11 மணிக்கு புறப்படும் விரைவு ரயில் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, தினசரி இரவு 10.45 மணிக்கு புறப்பட்டு செல்லும். இந்த நேரம் மாற்றம் ஜூலை 1-ஆம் தேதி முதல் அமலுக்கு வருகிறது.

சென்ட்ரல் ரயில்நிலையத்துக்கு வரும் ரயில்கள் நேரம் மாற்றம்: மேட்டுபாளையத்தில் இருந்து சென்னை சென்ட்ரல் ரயில்நிலையத்துக்கு தினசரி காலை 5.05 மணிக்கு வந்தடையும் நீலகிரி விரைவு ரயில் 5 நிமிஷம் முன்னதாக காலை 5 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும். 

திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் இருந்து சென்ட்ரல் ரயில் நிலையத்துக்கு தினசரி நண்பகல் 12 மணிக்கு வந்து சேரும் திருவனந்தபுரம் விரைவு ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு, காலை 10.15 மணிக்கு வந்துசேரும். இதுதவிர, 4 ரயில்கள் வந்துசேரும் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.

புறப்படும் ரயில்கள் நேரம் மாற்றம்: சென்னை சென்ட்ரலில் இருந்து கே.எஸ்.ஆர். பெங்களூருவுக்கு தினசரி காலை 7.50 மணிக்கு புறப்படவேண்டிய ரயிலின் நேரம் மாற்றப்பட்டு 10 நிமிஷம் முன்னதாக காலை 7.40 மணிக்கு புறப்படும். இதுதவிர, 9 ரயில்களின் புறப்படும் நேரம் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் எம்ஜிஆர் மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழக பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் இம்முறை இணையவழி நேரலை முறை மூலம் மாணவர்களுக்கு பட்டங்கள் வழங்கப்பட உள்ளன.அதன்படி, விழா நடைபெறும் அரங்கத்துக்கு வெளியேயும், பிற இடங்களிலும் உள்ள மாணவர்களுக்கு ஆளுநர் காணொலிக்காட்சி வாயிலாக பட்டங்களை வழங்க உள்ளார். தமிழகத்தில் இதுபோன்ற நவீன தொழில்நுட்ப வசதிகளின் மூலம் பட்டமளிப்பு விழா நடத்தப்படுவது இதுவே முதன்முறையாகும். 

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் எம்ஜிஆர் மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கீழ் 600-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் இயங்கி வருகின்றன. அவற்றில், இளநிலை மற்றும் முதுநிலை மருத்துவம், பல் மருத்துவம், செவிலியர் படிப்புகள், மருத்துவம் சார்ந்த பிற படிப்புகள் என நூற்றுக்கணக்கான படிப்புகள் உள்ளன. அந்த கல்லூரிகளில் ஆண்டுதோறும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானோர் தங்களது படிப்புகளை நிறைவு செய்கின்றனர். அந்த வரிசையில் நிகழாண்டில் 22,929 மாணவர்கள் பட்டப் படிப்புகளை முடித்துள்ளனர். அவர்களுக்கு சனிக்கிழமை (ஜூன் 29) சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழக நூற்றாண்டு அரங்கில் நடைபெறும் விழாவில் பட்டங்கள் வழங்கப்பட உள்ளன.

பொதுவாகவே, மருத்துவம் மற்றும் அதைச்சார்ந்த படிப்புகளை நிறைவு செய்பவர்கள் அதிக எண்ணிக்கையில் இருப்பார்கள் என்பதால் அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒரே அரங்கில் அமரச் செய்து பட்டங்களை அளிக்க இயலாது. அந்த அளவுக்கு இருக்கைகள் கொண்ட அரங்குகளும் எங்கும் இல்லை. 

இதனால், சில ஆயிரம் மாணவர்களை மட்டும் பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் பங்குபெறச் செய்வது வழக்கம். பிறருக்கு சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கல்லூரிகளின் வாயிலாக பட்டங்கள் அளிக்கப்படும்.

இந்நிலையில், நிகழாண்டு நடைபெறும் பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் 4,745 மாணவர்கள் நேரடியாக கலந்துகொள்கின்றனர். விழா நடைபெறும் சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழக நூற்றாண்டு விழா அரங்கில் அத்தனை பேரும் அமர முடியாது என்பதால் எம்ஜிஆர் மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழக வளாகத்தில் தற்காலிக அரங்கு ஒன்று அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 
அதேபோன்று மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் அரங்கிலும் மாணவர்களில் ஒரு பகுதியினர் அமர வைக்கப்பட உள்ளனர். இந்த மூன்று இடங்களிலும் உள்ள மாணவர்களையும் ஒருங்கிணைப்பதற்கு இணையவழி நேரலை முறை பயன்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளது. அதன்படி, 5 கேமராக்கள் மூலமாக நிகழ்ச்சிகள் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு மூன்று இடங்களிலும் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள 5 திரைகளில் நேரலையாக ஒளிபரப்பு செய்யப்படும். 

இதன் மூலம், சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழக அரங்க மேடையில் உள்ள ஆளுநர், மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழக அரங்கங்களில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் மாணவர்களை காணொலிக்காட்சி வாயிலாக பார்த்து பட்டங்களை அளிப்பார்.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட மாணவர்களும் ஆளுநர் முன்னிலையில் பட்டமேற்பு உறுதிமொழியை ஏற்பார்கள். இதற்கு முன்பு வரை எந்தப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்திலும் இத்தகைய நவீன தொழில்நுட்ப முறையில் பட்டமளிப்பு விழா நடத்தப்பட்டதில்லை. ரூ.6.5 லட்சம் செலவில் இந்த ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதாக மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழக வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

இதுகுறித்து பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் துணைவேந்தர் டாக்டர் சுதா சேஷய்யன் கூறியதாவது:

பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் ஆன்லைன் மூலம் மாணவர்களை இணைப்பதற்காக தேசிய அறிவுசார் இணையமானது (என்கேஎன்) இலவசமாக இணைய சேவைகளை வழங்கியுள்ளது. இதைத் தவிர பிஎஸ்என்எல் சேவையும் பயன்பாட்டில் வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த முறை பல்வேறு புதிய முயற்சிகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. 

மாணவர்களை ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் நெறி மேலாண்மை நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஊர்க் காவல் படையினர் 50 பேரை ஈடுபடுத்த இருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
இணையவழி நேரலை நடவடிக்கைளிலும், விழா ஏற்பாடுகளிலும் பல்வேறு நபர்களின் பங்களிப்பு உள்ளது. குறிப்பாக, தேசிய தகவல் மையத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கோபிநாத், சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழக இணையப் பொறியாளர் சிவாஜி, மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஒளிப்பதிவுக் குழுவைச் சேர்ந்த சம்பத், ஊர்க்காவல் படையைச் சேர்ந்த சுகுமார், பார்த்திபன், மருத்துவப் பல்கலைக்கழக கணினி பகுப்பாய்வாளர்கள் ராஜலட்சுமி, சண்முகம், இணையப் பொறியாளர் மன்மோகன் உள்ளிட்டோரின் பணிகள் இன்றியமையாதவை என்றார் அவர்.

NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has ordered a ban on the sale of biscuits in his ministry and in the departmental meetings and also asked the department to provide healthy food such as roasted channa, almonds, dates and walnuts.

In an order released on Friday, the Ministry said, "The Health and Family Welfare Minister has desired that healthy snacks only to be served in official meeting and biscuits are to be avoided."

The order said, "Henceforth, therefore, biscuits shall not be dispensed through the departmental canteen and healthy snacks like lahiya channa, khajoor (dates), bhuna channa (roasted channa), badam (almond) and akhrot (walnuts) will be served in the official meetings in the department."

The ministry also reiterated its earlier order of not using the plastic water bottles.

The court ordered notice to the Central Vigilance Commissioner and the secretary of the Union Ministry of Health, returnable by July 30.

CHENNAI: A PIL plea has been filed in the Madras High Court against admitting students in Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital in Chikkarayapuram here, for alleged unauthorised constructions it had made and the enforcement action taken by the CMDA.

The court ordered notice to the Central Vigilance Commissioner and the secretary of the Union Ministry of Health, returnable by July 30.

Crackdown on caste bias: UGC to colleges

The University Grants Commission has asked colleges and universities to create a separate page on their website for lodging of complaints related to caste discrimination.

COIMBATORE: The University Grants Commission has asked colleges and universities to create a separate page on their website for lodging of complaints related to caste discrimination.

Apart from this, a complaints register must be placed, in Registrar’s office in the case of universities and principal’s office in the case of colleges, for affected students to register their petitions.

UGC also asked institutions to take prompt action on erring officials in case of such complaints. In a letter written to Vice Chancellors of universities across the country, UGC Secretary Rajnish Jain has advised institutions to be more sensitive in dealing with cases of caste discrimination.

“The move will encourage victims to come forward and lodge complaints,” says Bharathair University SC/ST Teachers’ and Staff Welfare Association president M Ilanchelian. “However, officials should ensure the measures are implemented effectively.”

CHENNAI: Agitations are becoming a fulltime profession in Tamil Nadu, the Madras High Court observed on Friday, wondering how the State’s economy will prosper if every development project is opposed.

The oral observation was made by Justice Anand Venkatesh while hearing a plea filed by AMMK founder TTV Dhinakaran, seeking direction to police to allow him to protest in Cuddalore against extraction of hydrocarbons. The plea has been posted to July 1.

“Protests and demonstrations are becoming a full-time profession now a days in Tamil Nadu,” he said, adding opposition to any and every development project that comes to the State would have the direct effect of losing employment to other states. He also wondered what was the need for organising protests when the state government had already said “no” to such projects. People should not protest against the project but against the location chosen for it, the Judge said while refusing to accept the contention of the petitioner that Tamil Nadu would turn into a desert if the hydrocarbon project was allowed.

Justice Venkatesh in his oral observations also said most of the people who participate in such protests do so only because parties organise it.


The participants fail to go into the pros and cons of such projects. The younger generation in the State should be encouraged to seek appropriate profession or job and not to join such protests and movements, the judge observed.

Governor Banwarilal Purohit has cleared the names of K. Shanmugam, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), and J.K. Tripathy, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Uniform Services Recruitment Board, for appointment as Chief Secretary (CS) and Director General of Police (DGP) of Tamil Nadu respectively.

Confirming this, a senior official said that orders on the appointments will be issued on Saturday.

The officers belong to the 1985 batch. Mr. Shanmugam is from IAS and Mr. Tripathy from the IPS. They will take charge on Sunday following the retirement of Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan from service and the term of T.K. Rajendran as DGP coming to an end.

Mr. Shanmugam is expected to hold the post for a year, as he will be reaching the age of superannuation in July next year.

Mr Tripathy, who was also born in 1960, will, however, remain as DGP till June 2021, as the post carries the fixed tenure of two years.

For the post of Chief Secretary, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami preferred Mr. Shanmugam to others, including R. Rajagopal and Rajeev Ranjan, who are his seniors. As far as the DGP is concerned, Mr. Tripathy is the seniormost among those considered by the selection committee, which included representatives of the Union Public Services Commission, State and Central governments, apart from the Chief Minister.

Mr. Shanmugam, who is holding the post of Finance Secretary since May 2010, was empanelled by the Centre for the post of Secretary or Secretary-equivalent in the Union government.

On Friday evening, the IAS Officers’ Association held a function at the Secretariat to bid farewell to the outgoing Chief Secretary and A. Ramalingam, Commissioner of Art & Culture, who functioned as a Secretary to Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for years. Mr. Shanmugam was among those who attended the function. Earlier in the day, Mr. Tripathy met Ms. Vaidyanathan and the incoming Chief Secretary.

Mr. Shanmugam, who is holding the post of Finance Secretary since May 2010, was empanelled by the Centre for the post of Secretary or Secretary-equivalent in the Union government. He is among the few IAS officers to be retained in the same post despite a change in regime in the State.
