Twenty-two passengers of a bus, travelling from Gujarat, tested positive for Covid-19 in Rishikesh on Monday night. The bus, on a 15-day North India trip, boarded mostly by elderly women, travelled to Jaipur, Pushkar, Mathura and Haridwar before reaching Rishikesh where the health department conducted their tests after a few showed symptoms of the virus.

Not only that, the health department officials said they were finding it difficult to trace the tourists in question as they had all provided wrong phone numbers. As a result, there is no information on whether they have been hospitalised or isolated.

Tehri additional chief medical officer Jagdish Joshi said the bus was stopped near Muni Ki Reti on March 18 where a health team screened the passengers.

When TOI contacted Mahesh Bhai, owner of the travel agency that booked the 50 passengers from various villages of Gujarat, he said, “We started on March 7, covered Ambaji temple in Banaskantha district of Gujarat, Jaipur, Pushkar and Mathura. We reached Haridwar on March 18, where the tourists wanted to take a holy dip in Ganga. We were scheduled to return on March 20, but with two days still in our hands we visited Neelkanth Mahadev temple in Rishikesh,” said Mahesh, and added that he had personally called all the 22 people and asked them to either go to hospital or get themselves isolated at homes.

He also claimed that every passenger had a Covid-negative certificate when they began the journey.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will conduct a bhoomi pooja or groundbreaking ceremony of a Sri Padmavati Ammavaru temple at GN Chetty Road in T Nagar on Saturday.

The bhoomi pooja will be performed by Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi of Sri Kachi Kamakoti Peetam. The ceremony will begin at 8.42am. The Shankaracharya will also hand over cows and calves to eight temples in Tamil Nadu at 7.15am. The cows will be offered to the temples under the TTD’s flagship programme ‘Gudiko Gomatha,’ which is aimed at safeguarding indigenous cow breeds across the country.

This is the fourth shrine built by the TTD in the state. The temples were previously built in T Nagar, Kanyakumari and Vellore. The foundation stone to build the fifth temple in the state, at Ulundurpet, will be laid soon.

All through the Covid-19 pandemic, it was reiterated that `namaste' with folded hands was a safer way to greet people. It turns out it is the recommended way to pay obeisance to gods too as most temples across Gujarat have banned doing `sashtang pranam' citing Covid-19.

Accordingly, the common sight of devotees lying fully prostrated on the ground, their hands stretched out to the Lord, is not common place anymore.

In Ahmedabad and elsewhere, almost all major temples have Covid guidelines specifying devotees not to do sashtang pranam at the temple premises. This along with not ringing the temple bell leaves devotees to offer prayers by merely folding their hands.

“Lying prostrate on the ground offering `dandwat pranam' is prohibited inside the temple to avoid people from picking infection from the floor. In fact, devotees are not allowed to stand inside the temple during the aarti too. During Covid-19, all efforts are to ensure devotees pray to the Lord and leave the temple with minimum contact and exposure to any contagion,” said Vijay Chavda, manager of the Shree Somnath Temple, first among the 12 aadi jyotirlingas of India.

S J Chavda, deputy collector and administrator of the Shri Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust (SAAMDT), said sashtang pranam is prohibited for three reasons. “One, it is part of Covid-19 guidelines post unlock of temple, secondly to prevent devotees from catching any infection and thirdly and most importantly to ensure devotees keep moving and have limited exposure to others in the crowds,” said Chavda.

It needs mention that sashtang pranam has much significance including being an expression of complete surrender to the Almighty.

Ravindra Upadhyay of Dakor temple said that the `sashtang pranam' is not allowed as the temple authorities want to ensure minimum exposure in Covid-19 times.

இந்நிலையில், திருப்பதியில் உள்ள பூதேவி காம்ப்ளக்ஸ், சீனிவாசம் உள்ளிட்ட 5 இடங்களில் வைகுண்ட ஏகாதசிக்கான சா்வ தரிசன டோக்கன்களை வெளியிட தேவஸ்தானம் தயாராகி வருகிறது. அதன்படி தினசரி 10 ஆயிரம் சா்வ தரிசன டோக்கன்கள் வரும் 24ஆம் தேதி அதிகாலை முதல் வெளியிடப்பட உள்ளன.

The Trichy district administration has suggested the Srirangam Arulmigu Ranganathaswamy Temple administration opt for token system and online booking to allow darshan for the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival scheduled from December 14. With Covid-19 still active in the region, restrictions such as physical distancing and promoting edarshan through live streaming were suggested.

District collector S Sivarasu, on Thursday, conducted a review meeting involving all the stakeholders. The temple management was instructed to print passes in different colours, each allowing darshan for a one-hour time slot. The pass system is intended to minimise the footfall of devotees. Devotees will not be allowed inside the temple after 8pm.

Directions to apply online for reserving passes will be publicised by the temple management a week before the festival. Senior citizens aged above 65 years and those with comorbidities will not be allowed. The temple management has been instructed to facilitate shelters with seating arrangements outside the temple for devotees waiting for their turns. “People without face masks will not be allowed inside the temple and screening and hand sanitisation are must at the entrance. Floors and temple corridors will be frequently sanitised,” an official said.

HR&CE officials said, this year the 22 day-long annual festival will conclude on January 4, 2021, with Nammalvar Motcham. The most auspicious event involving the opening of Paramapathavasal gates will be held in the early hours of December 25.

வரும் 25-ஆம் தேதி முதல் அடுத்த ஆண்டு (2021) ஜனவரி 3-ஆம் தேதி வரை ரூ.300 விரைவு தரிசன டிக்கெட்டுகளை தேவஸ்தானம் செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை காலை 11 மணிக்கு வெளியிட உள்ளது. திருமலையில் சொக்கவாசலை தரிசிக்க விரும்பும் பக்தா்கள் இந்த வாய்ப்பைப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளலாம் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கார்த்திகை மாதத்தில் பவுர்ணமியும், கார்த்திகை நட்சத்திரமும் சேரும் நாளில் கொண்டாடப்படுவது திருக்கார்த்திகை. இதற்காக இரு புராண வரலாறு கூறப்படுகிறது. ஒருமுறை பிரம்மா, மகாவிஷ்ணுவுக்குள் சிறந்தவர் யார் என்ற கேள்வி எழுந்தது. இதற்காக ஜோதி வடிவாக நின்ற சிவபெருமான் தன் அடி, முடியை முதலில் கண்டு வருபவரே சிறந்தவர் எனத் தீர்ப்பளித்தார். பன்றி வடிவத்தில் மகாவிஷ்ணுவும், அன்னப்பறவையாக பிரம்மாவும் உருமாறி அடி, முடியைத் தேடிச் சென்றும் காண முடியவில்லை. அப்போது சிவபெருமான் ஜோதி வடிவமாகத் தோன்றினார். அந்த நாளே திருக்கார்த்திகை.

மற்றொரு வரலாறு முருகனுடன் தொடர்புடையது. சிவனின் நெற்றிக் கண்ணில் வெளிப்பட்ட தீப்பொறிகள் சரவணப் பொய்கையில் ஆறு குழந்தைகளாக அவதரித்தன. கார்த்திகைப் பெண்களின் அரவணைப்பில் வளர்க்கப்பட்ட அக்குழந்தைகளை பார்வதி ஒன்றாகச் சேர்த்து ஆறுமுகனாக மாற்றினாள். அந்த நாளே கார்த்திகை. இந்நாளில் விளக்குகளை ஏற்றி வழிபடுவர். பண்டைய காலத்திலிருந்தே விளக்கு வழிபாடு இருந்ததற்கு அகநானுாறு, அவ்வையாரின் பாடல்களில் சான்றுகள் உள்ளன. அகல் விளக்கு என்பது மண், பஞ்சு, எண்ணெய் அல்லது நெய் என மக்கும் பொருட்களால் ஆனது. இதனால் சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கு தீங்கு ஏற்படாது. விளக்கு ஏற்றுவதால் புற இருள் மட்டுமின்றி அறியாமை என்னும் அக இருளும் மறையும். விளக்குகளின் ஒளியைக் கண்டால் மனதில் புது நம்பிக்கை பிறக்கும். தேங்காய், வெல்லம் கலந்த பொரி உருண்டைகளை திருக்கார்த்திகை பிரசாதமாக படைப்பர். பொரியின் வெண்மை நிறம் விளக்கொளியில் பிரகாசிப்பது போல வழிபடுவோரின் வாழ்வும் ஜொலிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே இதன் நோக்கம். பொரியும், வெல்லமும் எளிதில் ஜீரணமாகும் என்பதால் சிறுவர் முதல் பெரியவர் வரை அனைவரும் விரும்பி உண்ணலாம்.

திருவண்ணாமலையில் இன்று மாலையில் மலை தீபம் ஏற்றுவர். இதற்கு முன்னதாக அதிகாலையில் கோயிலில் பரணி தீபம் ஏற்றப்படும். மலை தீபத்தை தரிசிக்கும் பக்தர்கள் கிரிவலம் வந்து அண்ணாமலையாரை வழிபடுவர். அனைத்து கோயில்களிலும் மாலையில் சொக்கப்பனை கொளுத்தப்படும். இதற்காக பனை மரத்தில் ஓலை, இயற்கைப் பட்டாசுகளையும் இணைத்து கொளுத்துவர். தீயில் பனையோலை எரிந்து சாம்பலாவது போல நம் அறியாமை, ஆணவம் போன்ற தீய குணங்கள் அழிய வேண்டும் என்பது இதன் நோக்கம். திக்கெல்லாம் ஒளி வீசும் திருக்கார்த்திகை தீபத்தைக் கண்ட இருட்டு போல துன்பம் எல்லாம் விலகி நன்மைகள் பெருக வழிபடுவோம். - பா. ரங்கராஜன் thedal.articles@gmail.com

Sabarimala temple will open for this year’s Mandala pilgrimage season on Sunday. Chief priest A K Sudheer Namboothiri will open the temple nada at 5pm on Sunday. Devotees will be allowed to visit the temple from Monday morning. As per Covid-19 protocol, only 1,000 devotees will be allowed per day through virtual queue.

Medical fitness certificate is mandatory for those in the age group of 60 to 65 years and Covid negative certificate is must for all pilgrims. The health department has set up facilities for conducting antigen tests at Thiruvananthapuram, Thiruvalla, Chengannur and Kottayam railways stations. There would also be Covid testing kiosks in Nilackal and Pamba.

காஞ்சிபுரம்:காஞ்சிபுரம் ஏகாம்பரநாதர் கோவில் பழைய பல்லக்கில், 3 கிலோ வெள்ளி தகடுகள் மாயமானது, ஆய்வில் தெரியவந்தது.

காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டத்தில், சிறப்பு பெற்று விளங்கும் பழமையான ஏகாம்பரநாதர் கோவிலில் உள்ள, ஆபரணங்களை ஆய்வு செய்ய வேண்டும் என, பக்தர்கள் சார்பில், ஹிந்து சமய அறநிலையத் துறைக்கு வேண்டுகோள் விடுக்கப்பட்டது.தொடர்ந்து, அக்டோபர், 13ம் தேதி, அறநிலையத் துறை துணை ஆணையர் தலைமையில், நகைகள் சரிபார்ப்பு குழு, ஆய்வை துவங்கியது.

கோவிலில் உள்ள பல சன்னிதிகளில், சுவாமிக்கு அணிவிக்கும் ஆபரணங்கள் மற்றும் பூஜை பொருட்கள், ஆய்வுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டது.இந்நிலையில், வெள்ளி சம்பந்தப்பட்ட பொருட்களை, ஆய்வுக் குழுவினர், நேற்று சரிபார்த்தனர். அப்போது, 200 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட, வெள்ளி தகடு பொருத்தப்பட்ட பல்லக்கில் இருந்த, வெள்ளி தகடுகள் காணாமல் போனது தெரியவந்தது.

Imagine an ancient, intricately carved temple rajagopuram for a roof for your house! A family has been residing inside the rajagopuram of Thopparankatti Vinayagar templein Thanjavur by converting it into a house for several decades before public protests forced the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) department to evict them andset right a wrong they committed by permitting it.

Thopparankatti Pillaiyar temple was one of the several temples coming under the Thanjavur Big Temple administration. About 60 years ago, the administration rented out approximately 430square feet of the mandapam in the rajagopuram to a temple employee named Sabapathi Pillai through a tenancy agreement. Pillai’s son Jayaraman, 75, and his wife Shyamala, 70, were the last tenants residing in the ‘house’.

There is no trace of the temple at the place now and only Shyamala was living in what looked like a house every bit inside the rajagopuram. Legally however, the family could not have been called encroachers till January 2019 when they were handed out the eviction order by the HR & CE officials after local people raked up the matter.

“They remained tenants until the order of termination of tenancy was issued by HR&CE, after which they were considered as encroachers,” said HR&CE department advocate V Chandrasekar. Asked how temple premises could have been rented out to an individual, Chandrasekar said, “It happened nearly 60 years ago, when the temple trustees took decisions without consulting the executive officers of the temple. Now, the issue was taken up seriously and the solution was found by evicting them.”

Big Temple executive officer S Madhavan told TOI they had asked the family to vacate the place, but they stayed put. Acting on the eviction order dated October 20 from the joint commissioner of HR&CE department, Thanjavur division, G Thennarasu, a team of officials carried out the anti-encroachment drive.

Thennarasu said the door frame (Nilai) put up at the entrance of the rajagopuram as the main door of the house was removed by the tenant Shyamala herself as she was evicted.

-'வடவேங்கடம் தென்குமரி ஆயிடைத் தமிழ்கூறு நல்லுலகம்' என்று, தொல்காப்பியர், தமிழகத்தின் நில எல்லையைக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். வட வேங்கடம் என்பது, தற்போதைய ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள திருப்பதி.அதாவது, திருப்பதி முதல் கன்னியாகுமரி வரை, பரந்து விரிந்த நிலப் பகுதியை கொண்டதாக,நம் பண்டைய தமிழகம் இருந்தது. இதில், பல்வேறு மத, இன நம்பிக்கைகளுடன், மக்கள் வாழ்ந்ததற்கான வரலாற்று ஆதாரங்கள், தொல்லியல் தடயங்களாகவும், இலக்கியங்கள் வாயிலாகவும் நமக்கு கிடைகின்றன.

தொல்காப்பியத்தின் அகத்திணையியலில், தமிழக நிலப் பகுதிகள் ஐந்தாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. நிலத்தின் தன்மைக்கு ஏற்ப குறிஞ்சி, முல்லை, மருதம், நெய்தல், பாலை என பிரிக்கப்பட்டு, அவற்றுக்கான தெய்வங்கள் பற்றியும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளனர்.

முல்லை நிலம்

முல்லை நிலமானது காடும் காட்டைச் சார்ந்த மேய்ச்சல் நிலப் பகுதி. இதற்கான கடவுளாக மாயோன் என்னும் திருமால் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளார்.ஆடு, மாடு மேய்ச்சலை முக்கிய தொழிலாகக் கொண்ட மக்களால், இவர் வணங்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். விஷ்ணுவின் அவதாரங்களில் ஒன்றான கிருஷ்ண அவதாரத்தின், அத்துணை அம்சங்களும் பொருந்துவதாக இவர் திகழ்கிறார்.

மற்றொரு சங்க இலக்கியமான பரிபாடலில், விஷ்ணுவின் அவதாரங்கள் விளக்கமாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருப்பது, திருமால் வழிபாட்டின் தொன்மையை விளக்குவதாக உள்ளது.

கலித்தொகையில், 'மால்' என, விஷ்ணு போற்றப்படுகிறார். சங்க இலக்கியத்தில் இருந்து நமக்கு கிடைக்கும் மற்றொரு செய்தியானது, திருமால் வழிபாடு தமிழகத்தில் வேரூன்றிய காரணத்தை விளக்குவதாக உள்ளது.மஹாபாரதப் போர் முடிவுற்ற பல காலத்திற்குப் பின், கிருஷ்ணர் ஆட்சி புரிந்த துவாரகை நகரம், கடல்கோள் என்னும் சுனாமிக்கு உள்ளானது. அங்கிருந்த யாதவ இன மக்களில் ஒரு பகுதியினர், அகத்தியரின் வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி, தென் தமிழகத்தை வந்தடைந்தனர்.

இம்மக்கள் பதினெண்குடி வேளிராக காட்டைத் திருத்தி நாடாக்கி, இங்கு வாழத் துவங்கினர் என்பதே அச்செய்தி. தென் தமிழகத்தில் மிகப் பழமையான விஷ்ணு கோவில்கள் நிறைந்துள்ளன. 108 திவ்யதேசங்களில், 80 சதவீத கோவில்கள் தமிழகத்திலேயே உள்ளன. இவற்றில், திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள ஒன்பது திவ்யதேச கோவில்கள், நவ திருப்பதிகள் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன. இவை, தொன்மையான பாண்டிய நாட்டின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இருந்துள்ளது.இவ்வழகிய கோவில்கள், தாமிரபரணி ஆற்றின் கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது மேலும் ஒரு சிறப்பு. இது, திருத்தலங்களின் பெருமாள் பெருமையை மட்டுமல்லாது, இத்தலங்களின் இயற்கை அழகையும், வைணவ ஆழ்வார்கள் தங்கள் பாடலில் வர்ணித்துள்ளனர்.

இது,குபேரஷேத்ரம் என்றும் தலபுராணத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.திருஆதிநாதர் திருக்கோவில் எனும் ஆழ்வார்திருநகரி - திருக்குருகூர்: இத்தலம் நம்மாழ்வார் பிறந்த புண்ணிய பூமி. இக்கோவில் நவகிரஹங்களில் ஒருவரான குருவுக்கு உகந்த தலம்.திருகாசினிவேண்டான் பெருமாள் திருக்கோவில் - திருப்புளியன்குடி: இத்தலத்தில் பெருமாளின் நாபிகமலத்தில் இருந்து பிரம்மா தோன்றுவது மிகச் சிறப்பான அம்சம். இக்கோவில் நவகிரஹங்களில் ஒருவரான புதனுக்கு உகந்த தலம்.திருவிஜயசான பெருமாள் திருக்கோவில் எனும் திரு வரகுணமங்கை - நத்தம்: வரகுண பாண்டியனுக்கு பெருமாள் தரிசனம் தந்த இடம் ஆதலால், இந்த இடப் பெயர்  பெற்றதாக நம்பப்படுகிறது.

இக்கோவில் நவகிரஹங்களில் ஒருவரான சந்திரனுக்கு உகந்த தலம்.திருவேங்கடவாணன் திருக்கோவில் - திருகுலந்தை பெருங்குளம்: இக்கோவில் உற்சவர் பெயரால் மாயக்கூத்த பெருமாள் திருக்கோவில் என்றும் அறியப்படுகிறது. இக்கோவில் நவகிரஹங்களில் ஒருவரான சனி பகவானுக்கு உகந்த தலம்.

இக்கோவில்களின் தலபுராணங்கள் இக்கோவிலின் காலத்தை பல யுகங்களுக்கு முன் தோன்றியதாக குறிப்பிடுகின்றன. மேலே குறிப்பிட்டது போல, தமிழகத்தில் திருமால் வழிபாடு தொன்றுதொட்டு வளர்ந்துள்ளதற்கு, இக்கோவில்களும் ஒரு சாட்சி.இக்கோவில்கள் ஆழ்வார்களால் பாடல் பெற்ற தலங்களாக விளங்குவதால், அவர்கள் வாழ்ந்த, 6 முதல், 9ம் நுாற்றாண்டுக்கு முற்பட்டது எனக் கொள்ளலாம்.

இக்கோவில்களின் கட்டடக்கலை அமைப்பும், இங்கு கிடைக்கும் கல்வெட்டுகளும், 6 முதல், 16ம் நுாற்றாண்டு வரையிலான காலகட்டத்தை சேர்ந்ததாக உள்ளன.இக்கோவில்கள் அனைத்தும் 100 முதல், 12 கிலோ மீட்டர் சுற்றுப்பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ளதால், நாம் விரைந்து தரிசிக்க ஒரு நாள் போதுமானதாக இருக்கும்.

ஆனால், பாண்டிய மன்னர்களால் கட்டப்பட்டு, பின்னர் மதுரை நாயக்கர்களால் பராமரிக்கப்பட்டு, பல திருப்பணிகள் செய்யப்பட்டு விளங்கும் இக்கோவில்களின் அமைப்பும், அழகும் வார்த்தைகளால் 

விவரிக்க  முடியாதவை.இக்கோவில்களின் தலபுராணங்களும், விழாக்களும், ஆடல் பாடல்களும், மிகச் சிறப்பாக சிற்பங்களாகவும், ஓவியங்களாகவும் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளதை காண கண்கோடி வேண்டும்.

Coimbatore: Large number of people thronged Perur ghat on Mahalaya Amavasya on Thursday, despite officials instructing them not to gather along the river bank.

Since people failed to heed to announcements in public address system to maintain social distancing, they were warned and sent away by police.

The district administration had urged people not to gather in places such as Perur ghat to perform rituals along the Noyyal river bank in view of the pandemic. On their part, authorities of Perur Patteeswarar temple, had asked people not to throng the temple or the ghat.

However, people came in droves to Perur and gathered near the Noyyal ghat, a traditional place where the rituals are performed for the dead.

People thronged the river bank, Vinayaga temple near the ghat and the Amman thoppu area, where they performed the rituals and made offerings to the departed ancestors.

After that, they gathered in front of the Vinayaga temple, ignoring social distancing norms. Police personnel, who were deployed to control the crowd, warned people not to throng the temple. When their warnings were not heeded, police sent them away.

Devotees who wish to visit the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple on Saturdays during the Tamil month of ‘Purattasi’ have to make advance bookings online.

Temple authorities on Tuesday said that only devotees with online bookings would be allowed inside the temple complex for darshan on the four Saturdays during Purattasi, falling on September 19, 26 and October 3, 10.

Online bookings have to be made for both free and paid darshan. Bookings can be made on the temple website www.srirangam.org

An official release from the temple Joint Commissioner /Executive Officer P. Jayaraman said the move was intended to ensure physical distancing among devotees in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and to reduce wait times for darshan.

The temple witnesses a huge turn-out of devotees on Saturdays in Purattasi. Mr. Jayaraman appealed to the devotees to make use of the booking facility and offer worship at the specified timings on the four Saturdays.

As part of COVID-19 precautionary measures, the district administration has banned congregation of devotees at temples or water bodies close to temples to conduct Mahalaya Amavasya rituals on September 17.

District Collector K. Rajamani said in a release that owners of private halls near temples must get permission from the authorities before renting the premises for these occasions.

HR&CE Department officials said that the crowds are expected at Perur Patteeswarar Temple, Karamadai Aranganatha Swamy Temple and Thekkampatti Vanabadrakaliamman Temple in Coimbatore district. While the rituals are not allowed, the temples will be open for devotees with the usual COVID-19 precautionary measures.

The Erode district administration has also banned congregation of devotees at temples and river beds on September 17. Collector C. Kathiravan, however, said that devotees can offer prayers at temples.

: An expert team of doctors, who conducted a study on averting the acceleration of Covid-19 cases during Sabarimala pilgrimage, has suggested that the devotees should be restricted to a maximum of 5,000 for the entire 42-day season starting November.

The experts say Covid-19 spread was controlled during Haj pilgrimage as they had cut down the number of devotees considerably. They have warned a huge spread if uncontrolled entry through virtual queue system is allowed.

The expert team headed by Dr K Rajashekaran Nayar, professor, global institute of public health, has said if the pilgrimage season is conducted unrestricted, disease importation can happen via pilgrims originating from states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

“We recommend a highly restricted event by reducing the number of pilgrims to 5,000 over the 42-day period and fully complying with Covid-19 mitigation principles while respecting the religious sentiments surrounding the event. This recommendation is based on the existing World Health Organization guidelines on mass gathering in general and based on the criteria used during the restricted Haj 2020,” said Nayar.
