அப்போது, ஏற்கனவே கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட ஆவணங்கள் மற்றும் நகைகள் தனி அறையில் பூட்டி வைக்கப்பட்டு துப்பாக்கி ஏந்திய போலீசார் பாதுகாப்புக்காக நிறுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தனர்.

நேற்று முன்தினம் இரவு வருமான வரித்துறை அதிகாரிகள் 2 பேர் அங்கேயே தங்கினர். நேற்று காலையில் மீண்டும் வழக்கம் போல் சோதனை நடைபெற்றது. அப்போது, பல கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்புள்ள ‘ஜாஸ் சினிமாஸ்’ திரையரங்கம் வாங்கியதற்கான நிதி ஆதாரம் எங்கிருந்து வந்தது? பல்வேறு நிறுவனங்கள் பெயரில் நடைபெற்ற வங்கி மற்றும் பண பரிவர்த்தனைகள், அதற்கான ஆவணங்கள் குறித்து வருமான வரித்துறை புலனாய்வு பிரிவு உயர் அதிகாரி நேரடியாக கிடுக்கிப்பிடி விசாரணை நடத்தினார்.

மேலும் அவருடைய பெயரில் உள்ள சொத்துகள் என்னென்ன? என்பதை பட்டியலிட்டு அதிகாரிகள் ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டனர்.

விவேக்கின் நேர்முக உதவியாளரான ராஜூவை, விவேக் இல்லத்தில் இருந்து வருமான வரித்துறை உயர் அதிகாரி ஒருவர் அவருடைய காரில் நுங்கம்பாக்கம் உத்தமர் காந்தி சாலையில் உள்ள வருமான வரி புலனாய்வு பிரிவு தலைமை அலுவலகம், சென்னை போயஸ் கார்டனில் செயல்பட்டு வந்த ஜெயா டி.வி.யின் பழைய அலுவலகம், அடையாறு கற்பகம் சாலையில் உள்ள டி.டி.வி.தினகரனின் அலுவலகத்துக்கும் அழைத்துச் சென்று விசாரணை நடத்தினார்.

அப்போது ஏற்கனவே விவேக்கிடம் கேட்கப்பட்ட கேள்விகளுக்கு அவர் அளித்த பதில்கள் ஒன்றாக இருக்கிறதா? அல்லது முன்னுக்கு பின் முரணாக இருக்கிறதா? என்று விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டனர். இந்த விசாரணை சுமார் 2½ மணி நேரம் வரை நீடித்தது. அதற்கு பின்னர், வருமான வரித்துறை உயர் அதிகாரி அவருடைய காரிலேயே ராஜூவையும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு மீண்டும் விவேக் வீட்டிற்கு வந்தார்.

விவேக் வீட்டில் இருந்து, தங்கம், வைர நகைகளும், வெள்ளி பொருட்களும் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. அது குறித்தும் விவேக்கிடம் அதிகாரிகள் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டனர்.

இதற்கிடையே சென்னை அண்ணாநகரில் உள்ள, கீர்த்தனாவின் தந்தை பாஸ்கர் வீட்டில் நடைபெற்ற வருமானவரி சோதனை நேற்று முன்தினம் நள்ளிரவிலேயே முடிவடைந்துவிட்டது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. அவரது வீட்டில் இருந்து முக்கிய ஆவணங்கள், நகைகள் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டிருப்பதாகவும் தெரிகிறது.

தலைநகர் டெல்லி அதன் பகுதிகளில் காற்று கடுமையாக மாசடைந்துள்ளது. காற்றில் நுண்துகள்களின் (பி.எம்.2.5 மற்றும் பி.எம்.10) அளவு வழக்கத்தை விட பல மடங்கு அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இந்த நச்சுக்காற்றால் மக்கள் பெரும் இன்னலுக்கு உள்ளாகி இருக்கின்றனர். இதனால், பள்ளிகளுக்கு விடுமுறை அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பனிப்பொழிவும் அதிகம் இருப்பதால் தலைநகர் மற்றும் சுற்றுவட்டார பகுதிகளில் பகலிலும் மேகமூட்டம் போல காணப்படுகிறது. காற்றில் மாசு புகை மூட்டம் போல் காணப்பட்டதால் விமான போக்குவரத்து கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்நிலையில் டெல்லியில் இருந்து நியூயார்க் செல்லும் யுனைடெட் ஏர்லைன்ஸ் விமானம் ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. காற்று மாசு காரணமாக விமானம் ரத்து செய்யட்டுள்ளதாக யுனைனெட் ஏர்லைன்ஸ் நிர்வாகம் அறிவித்துள்ளது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பயணிகள் மாற்று விமானத்தில் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்படுவார்கள் என நிர்வாகம் கூறியுள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

எல்பின்ஸ்டன் ரோடு ரெயில் நிலைய நடைமேம்பால நெரிசலில் சிக்கி காயமடைந்த மாணவன் வீட்டில் இருந்து தேர்வு எழுத மும்பை பல்கலைக்கழகம் அனுமதி வழங்கி உள்ளது.விபத்தில் காயம்

மும்பை எல்பின்ஸ்டன்ரோடு ரெயில்நிலையத்தில் செப்டம்பர் 29–ந் தேதி கூட்ட நெரிசலால் நடந்த விபத்தை யாரும் அவ்வளவு எளிதாக மறந்துவிட முடியாது. இதில் 23 பயணிகள் கூட்டநெரிசலில் சிக்கி பலியானார்கள். மேலும் பலர் காயமடைந்தனர். அதில் ஒருவர் தான் விக்ரோலியை சேர்ந்த ஆகாஷ் (19). அன்றைய தினம் விபத்தில் சிக்கி ஆகாசுக்கு கால் முறிந்தது. இதற்காக அவர் வீட்டில் இருந்து கே.இ.எம். ஆஸ்பத்திரியில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகிறார்.வீட்டில் இருந்து எழுத அனுமதி

இந்தநிலையில் மும்பை பல்கலைக்கழக செமஸ்டர் தேர்வு விரைவில் தொடங்க உள்ளது. காயமடைந்து நடக்க முடியாத நிலையில் இருப்பதால் பி.காம். மாணவரான ஆகாஷ் தனது தேர்வை எழுத முடியாமல் போகும் சூழல் ஏற்பட்டது. இந்தநிலையில் அவர் தனது நிலை குறித்து மும்பை பல்கலைக்கழகத்திடம் முறையிட்டார். இதையடுத்து மும்பை பல்கலைக்கழகம் மாணவர் ஆகாஷ் வீட்டில் இருந்தபடியே தேர்வு எழுத அனுமதி வழங்கி உள்ளது.

இதுகுறித்து மும்பை பல்கலைக்கழக தேர்வு துறை இயக்குனர் அர்ஜூன் காதுலே கூறும்போது:– அரிதிலும், அரிதாக இந்த அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேர்வு அன்று மாணவரின் வீட்டிற்கு பல்கலைக்கழக ஊழியர் ஒருவரும், அவர் வீட்டருகே உள்ள கல்லூரியை சேர்ந்த ஒருவரும் செல்வார்கள். அவர்கள் மாணவரை தேர்வு எழுத வைத்து விடைத்தாளை பெற்று வருவார்கள். மாணவன் ஆகாசுக்கு தேர்வு எழுத கூடுதலாக 1 மணி நேரம் வழங்கப்படும்.

இவ்வாறு அவர் கூறினார்.

மாணவன் ஆகாசின் தம்பி ரோகித் (11) எல்பின்ஸ்டன் ரோடு ரெயில் நிலைய விபத்தில் சிக்கி பலியானார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

742 பேர் வக்கீல் தொழிலில் இருந்து இடைநீக்கம் பார் கவுன்சில் அதிரடி நடவடிக்கை

சட்ட படிப்பை முடித்துவிட்டு வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்பவர்கள் கண்டிப்பாக தேசிய அளவில் நடைபெறும் தகுதி தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெறவேண்டும் என்று அகில இந்திய பார் கவுன்சில் 2010-ம் ஆண்டு புதிய விதிமுறையை கொண்டுவந்தது. வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்த நாளில் இருந்து 2 ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் இந்த தகுதி தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெறவேண்டும். அப்படி இல்லாவிடில் அவர்கள் வக்கீல் தொழிலில் இருந்து நீக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

கடந்த 2014-15-ம் ஆண்டுகளில் வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்தவர்களில் 1,025 பேர் தகுதி தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெறவில்லை. இதையடுத்து அவர்களை வக்கீல் தொழிலில் இருந்து இடைநீக்கம் செய்து கடந்த 8-ந்தேதி தமிழ்நாடு-புதுச்சேரி பார் கவுன்சில் அதிரடி உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்தது.

திறந்தவெளி பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் நேரடியாக பி.ஏ., எம்.ஏ. போன்ற பட்டங்களை பெற்று சட்டப்படிப்பை முடித்தவர்களும் வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்துள்ளனர். ஆனால் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டு பிறப்பித்துள்ள உத்தரவில் திறந்தவெளி பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படித்தவர்கள் வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்யமுடியாது என்று கூறியுள்ளது.

இதன் அடிப்படையில் தமிழ்நாடு-புதுச்சேரி பார் கவுன்சில் திறந்தவெளி பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பட்டம் படித்து வக்கீலாக பதிவு செய்தவர்களின் பெயர் விவரங்களை சேகரித்தது. அதில் முதற்கட்டமாக 742 பேரை வக்கீல் தொழிலில் இருந்து இடைநீக்கம் செய்து பார் கவுன்சில் செயலாளர் சி.ராஜ்குமார் உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார். இந்த 742 பேரின் பெயர்களையும் நிரந்தரமாக வக்கீல் தொழிலில் இருந்து ஏன் நீக்கக்கூடாது? என்று விளக்கம் கேட்டு நோட்டீசும் அனுப்பியுள்ளார்.

B.Pharm. student attempts suicide

The suicide attempt by a first year B.Pharm. student, Haron Yousuf, at Pushpagiri Medicity in Thiruvalla has created tense moments for about half-an-hour on Friday.

According to the police, Yousuf reportedly cut his vein in the wrist in the forenoon, accusing the college authorities of reducing internal marks for a few senior students.

The student was given first aid at Pushpagiri Medical College Hospital and his condition was stable, the police said.

Meanwhile, a group of students staged protests on the campus, raising slogans against the management. Two of them climbed the rooftop and threatened to commit suicide, alleging harassment by the college authorities. However, they were placated by the college Principal and the police.

Pushpagiri clarifies

Meanwhile, Pushpagiri chief executive officer (CEO) Fr. Shaji Vazhayil said there was every reason to suspect a conspiracy by certain vested interests to malign the image of the college.

In a statement here on Friday, Fr. Vazhayil said Yousuf had joined the college through lateral entry only two months ago. He was yet to write any university examination and hence his charges against the college authorities regarding internal marks were absolutely baseless. The management had entrusted a five-member committee to inquire into the incident.

The date of birth mentioned in the school education board certificate cannot be changed to the convenience of a student if the board merely reproduces the same birth details as the student had submitted at the time of admission to the school that is carried during the entire schooling period.

The ruling has come from the Punjab and Haryana high court while dismissing a petition seeking change of date of birth in the certificate issued by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) and that too seven years after passing out from the school.

Justice K Kannan reasoned that there could be instances where a parent secures admission for a child by making some manipulations regarding the date of birth and it could be in a situation where a child seeking admission is over-aged or under-aged to gain admission.

"The plea of estoppel, which operates against a child is on the basis of a statement of a guardian and if an entry is made to gain advantage relating to the age of stipulation for an admission, it cannot be later changed to the benefit of the candidate after the schooling is over to a date, which is convenient to the candidate," said justice Kannan. Estoppel is a legal principle that bars a party from denying or alleging a certain fact owing to that party's previous conduct, allegation or denial.

A Rewari (Haryana) resident, Ambika Kaul, had approached the high court seeking change of her date of birth in the CBSE certificate by reducing it an year from July 4, 1991, to July 4, 1992.

But justice Kannan expressed, "If the date of birth was of the year 1991, a change cannot be brought in the school records if the petitioner sought admission in the school giving a date of birth deliberately from what according to her was true."

The court made it clear that the CBSE cannot issue a certificate that is different from what is contained in the school records and what was brought in the CBSE certificate was not any typographical error. The two circumstances under which the CBSE allows corrections are indeed in respect of the typographical errors in making the certificate consistent with the school record, the CBSE had informed the court.

Justice Kannan expressed his surprise after observing that the petitioner-student had received her CBSE certificate in May 2007 and was approaching the court after a period of seven years in 2014. Though the court dismissed the case but said otherwise also the correction in the certificate must have been applied for within three years from the date of knowledge of the alleged wrong entry in 2007 or within three years from attaining age of majority in 2012.

Under-17 not eligible to study MBBS: Hyderabad HC

HYDERABAD: Finding fault with parents for putting pressure on children to complete MBBScourse early , the Hyderabad HC on Thursday suspended the permission accorded by a single judge to a16-year-old girl to take up MBBS in a foreign university . Permission from Medical Council of India (MCI) to study medicine abroad is necessary if student wishes to return to India and practise. MCI had rejected permission on the grounds that its regulations do not permit those under 17 years of age to study medicine, the girl's father, J Mallesh from Nalgonda district challenged MCI decision before the court. Then a single judge directed MCI to permit the child to study MBBS.

Aggrieved by this, MCI preferred an appeal which was heard by acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili.MCI counsel Vivek Chandrasekhar told the bench that the guidelines prescribe that a stu dent taking admission in a foreign medical university must apply for an eligibility certificate (EC) from MCI. The minimum age for taking admission in MBBS is 17 years. If the candidate is not 17 years, MCI will reject the EC. He also said that a lot of students are taking admission in MBBS without seeking EC and some are studying in foreign universities even after MCI refused to issue EC.

Explaining the present case, Chandrasekhar said that the girl took admission in MBBS in Kazakhstan University even though MCI rejected her EC. "We didn't give her the eligibility certificate but a single judge directed us to give her the same," he said. The bench then suspended the order of the single judge.
