‘அவன்/அவள் ரொம்ப தைரியசாலிப்பா. இதுக்கெல்லாம் கலங்கிட மாட்டாங்க. ஒண்ணும் தப்பா நடக்காது. பார்த்துக்கலாம்’ என்று யாரைப் பற்றியும் தவறாகப் புரிதலை வைத்துக்கொள்ளக் கூடாது. இக்கட்டான சூழ்நிலைகளில் தைரியமானவர்கள்கூடச் சில நேரம் தடுமாறக்கூடும்.

தற்கொலை முயற்சிக்குப் பல நோக்கங்கள் உண்டு. பெரும்பாலும் மனதின் குழப்ப நிலையை வெளிப்படுத்தும் முயற்சியாகவும், உலகப் பிரச்சினைகளிலிருந்து தங்களை விடுவித்துக்கொள்ளும் முயற்சியாகவும் அது இருக்கும். சில நேரம் தங்களது காரியங்களைச் சாதித்துக்கொள்ளவும், வீட்டிலுள்ளவர்களை மிரட்டவும் இதை ஒரு ஆயுதமாக விடலைப் பருவத்தினர் பயன்படுத்துவதுண்டு. சிலவேளைகளில் இந்த மிரட்டல் முயற்சிகள் உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தாகவும் முடிவடையும்.

எதிர்பாலினத்தின் கவனத்தைத் தங்கள் மீது திருப்புவதற்கு, தற்கொலை முயற்சியை ஒரு கருவியாகச் சிலர் பயன்படுத்திப் பார்ப்பது உண்டு. சிலர் தேர்வு முடிவு வருவதற்கு முன்னரே, ‘எதற்கும் ஒரு தற்கொலை முயற்சியைச் செய்துவிட்டால் பாதுகாப்பு’ என நினைத்து விபரீத முயற்சிகளில் இறங்குவார்கள்.

தற்கொலை ஒரு தியாகமா?

எமில் டர்ஹெய்ம் என்ற சமூக உளவியலாளர் தற்கொலைகளைப் பல வகைகளாகப் பிரித்துள்ளார். அதில் ஒருவகை சமுதாய நலனுக்காகவோ, மற்றவர்களிடம் நல்ல மாற்றங்களை ஏற்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்திலோகூட சிலர் தற்கொலை செய்யும் அளவுக்குத் துணிவது. சமீபத்தில் என்னிடம் சிகிச்சைக்கு வந்த பதினைந்து வயதுச் சிறுவன் ஒருவன் அப்படிப்பட்டவன். தான் தற்கொலைக்கு முயற்சித்ததற்கு, அவன் சொன்ன காரணம் வித்தியாசமானது. பொதுவாகவே அதிகப்படியான சட்டதிட்டங்களைப் பேசும் அவன், வகுப்பில் ஆசிரியர் மொபைல் போனில் பேசியதைத் தட்டிக்கேட்டுள்ளான். பின்பு, இந்தக் காரணத்தை எழுதி வைத்துவிட்டுத் தான் தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டால், தனது சாவுக்குப் பின்னாலாவது இதுபோன்ற விதிமீறல்கள் ஏற்படாது என்பதுதான் அவனுடைய எண்ணம்.

இதுபோலப் பல இடங்களில் விவாதங்களில் ஈடுபடுவது அவனுக்கு வாடிக்கை. விசாரித்ததில் மனநலப் பாதிப்புகளுக்கான பல அறிகுறிகள் அவனிடம் இருந்தன. இன்னொரு சிறுவன் தான் செத்தாலாவது தனது அப்பா குடிப்பழக்கத்தை நிறுத்துவார் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில் விஷம் குடித்துள்ளான். இதுபோன்ற விபரீத முயற்சிகள் வளர்இளம் பருவத்தில் சில நேரம் வரலாம். ஆனால், இந்த முயற்சிகளால் எந்த மாற்றமும் ஏற்படு வதில்லை என்பதுதான் உண்மை.

யாருக்குப் பாதிப்பு அதிகம்?

தற்கொலை எண்ணங்கள் யாருக்கு வேண்டுமானாலும், எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் தோன்றலாம். ‘இவ்வளவு தைரியமானவனா இப்படிச் செய்தான்’ என்று சிலரைப் பற்றி கூறுவார்கள். சந்தர்ப்ப சூழ்நிலை எப்படிப்பட்டவரையும் சில வேளைகளில் சாய்த்துவிடும். ஆனால், வளர்இளம் பருவத்தினரில் சிலர் எப்போதும் ஆபத்தின் வட்டத்துக்குள்ளேயே இருப்பார்கள். படிப்பில் மந்தம், தங்கள் உடலமைப்பில் திருப்தியின்மை, தேர்வுகளில் அடிக்கடி தோல்வி, போதைப்பொருட்கள் பயன்பாடு, பெற்றோரால் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள், சின்ன வயதில் தாயை இழந்தவர்கள், குழந்தைப் பருவத்தில் உடல், பாலியல்ரீதியிலான கொடுமைகளுக்கு ஆளானவர்கள் எளிதில் தற்கொலை எண்ணங்களுக்கு ஆட்பட வாய்ப்புண்டு.

ஏற்கெனவே குடும்ப நபர்கள் யாரேனும் தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டு இறந்திருந்தால், அந்தக் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இளம் பருவத்தினர் அதிகப் பாதிப்புக்குள்ளாகலாம். ஏனென்றால், தற்கொலை எண்ணங்களை உருவாக்குவதில் 5 - ஹைடிராக்சி டிரிப்டமைன் (5-HT ) என்ற ரசாயனத்தைத் தீர்மானிக்கும் மரபணுக் கள் முக்கியப் பங்கு வகிப்பதுடன், பரம்பரையாகப் பாதிக்கும் நிலையும் உள்ளது. ஒருவர் ஒருமுறை தற்கொலை மிரட்டலோ அல்லது தற்கொலை எண்ணத்தையோ வெளிப்படுத்தினால், அவர்கள் எப்போதுமே ஆபத்துக்கு உரியவர்கள்தான். அவர்களுடைய செயல்பாடுகளைச் சாதாரணமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளக் கூடாது.

குணரீதியான மாற்றங்கள்

வளர்இளம் பருவத்தினர் சிலருக்கு வேலையே அவ்வப்போதுத் தற்கொலை மிரட்டல்களிலும் முயற்சிகளிலும் ஈடுபடுவதாகத்தான் இருக்கும்.

குறிப்பிட்ட குணத்தோடு ஒன்றிப்போன அவர்களிடம், வேறு பல மாற்றங்களும் காணப்படும். யாரிடமும் ஒத்துப்போகாமல் அடிக்கடி கருத்து வேறுபாடு ஏற்படுவது, கையில் கிடைத்ததைத் தூக்கி எறிந்துவிடுவது, எளிதில் உறவுகளை முறித்துக்கொள்வது, தனக்கு மட்டுமே வாழ்க்கையில் எல்லாப் பிரச்சினைகளும் இருக்கின்றன என்ற மனோபாவம், காதல் வலைகளில் மாறிமாறிச் சிக்கிக்கொள்வது, இளம் வயதில் பாலுறவு மற்றும் போதைப் பழக்கம் போன்றவற்றுடன் அடிக்கடி தங்கள் கையைப் பிளேடால் கிழித்துக்கொள்வது, சூடுபோட்டுக்கொள்வது, தற்கொலை முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபடுவது ஆகிய குணநல மாற்றங்கள் ஒன்றுசேர்ந்து காணப்படலாம். இதற்குப் பார்டர்லைன் பெர்சனாலிட்டி குறைபாடு (Borderline Personality Disorder ) என்று பெயர். இவர்களுக்கு மாத்திரைகளோடு மனநல ஆலோசனையும் கட்டாயம் தேவை.

எந்த வகை ஆபத்தானது?

விடலைப் பருவத்தில் ஒருவர் தற்கொலை செய்துகொள்ளத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் முறைகளில் இருக்கும் பல்வேறு காரணிகளை ஆராய்ந்தால், அவர் செய்த முயற்சி எவ்வளவு ஆபத்தானது என்பதைக் கணிக்கலாம். யாரும் இல்லாத, காப்பாற்ற வழியில்லாத இடங்களைத் தேர்வு செய்வது, ரயில் முன்னால் அல்லது மாடியிலிருந்து விழுவது, கடிதம் எழுதிவைப்பது, விஷம் அருந்தியதைக் கடைசிவரைக்கும் யாரிடமும் சொல்லாமல் இருப்பது போன்றவை தீவிரமான தற்கொலை எண்ணங்களின் வெளிப்பாடு.

ஒரு மாணவன் மருந்துக் கடையில் தூக்க மாத்திரை கேட்டிருக்கிறான். அவர்கள் இரண்டு மாத்திரைக்கு மேல் கொடுக்க மறுத்ததால், பல கடைகளில் இரண்டிரண்டு மாத்திரைகளாக, பல நாட்களாகச் சேகரித்துவைத்துத் தற்கொலைக்கு முயன்றிருக்கிறான். இத்தகைய நபர்கள் கண்டிப்பாகத் தீவிர மனநல ஆலோசனைகளுக்கும் கண்காணிப்புக்கும் உட்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். ஏனென்றால், இவர்கள் மனநோய் பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளாகியிருக்க வாய்ப்பு அதிகம்.

திருச்சியில் கடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களாகக் கொட்டித்தீர்க்கும் மழையால் திருச்சி மக்கள் தத்தளிக்கிறார்கள்.

கோடைவெயிலின் தாக்கம் கடந்த சில வாரங்களாகவே அதிகமாகக் காணப்பட்டது. திருச்சியில் அக்னி நட்சத்திரத்துக்கு முன்பே வெயில் 104 டிகிரியை தாண்டியது. இதேபோல் பெரம்பலூர், அரியலூர், கரூர், புதுக்கோட்டை, மற்றும் தஞ்சை, நாகை, திருவாரூர் மாவட்டங்களிலும் வெயில் கொளுத்தியது.

கடந்த 4 -ம் தேதி அக்னி நட்சத்திரம் தொடங்கியது. அக்னி நட்சத்திரம் என்றதும் வெயில் இன்னும் அதிகமாக இருக்கும் என நினைத்திருந்தபோது, மெல்ல மழை பரவலாக பெய்தது. கடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களாக திருச்சி, கருர் பகுதிகளில் மேக மூட்டமாகக் காணப்பட்டது. இதனை அடுத்து திடீரென மழை கொட்டத்தொடங்கியது. நேற்று முந்தினம் மாலை 4 மணிக்குப் பிடித்த மழை, 5.30 மணிவரை வெளுத்துவாங்கியது. இடி, மின்னலுடன் கூடிய மழை என்பதாலும், காற்று வீசாததால் மழையின் அளவு கூடியது. இதனால், திருச்சி மாநகர வீதிகள் வெள்ளக்காடானது. குறிப்பாகப் பாலகரை, தென்னூர், புத்தூர், தில்லைநகர், திருச்சி மத்திய பேருந்து நிலையம், சத்திரம் பேருந்து நிலையம் பகுதிகளில் வெள்ளம் பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடியது. இதனால் கால்வாய்கள் நிரம்பி வழிந்தது. அதிலும் திருச்சி மேலபுதூர் ரயில்வே சுரங்க பாலத்தில் சுமார் 5 அடி உயரத்துக்கும் மேல் தண்ணீர் தேங்கியது.


அவ்வழியே சத்திரத்திலிருந்து பாலகரை, ஜங்ஷன் ரயில் நிலையம், மத்திய பேருந்து நிலையம் வழியாக எரங்குடி செல்லும் அரசு பேருந்து வந்தது. பேருந்தில் சுமார் 30 -க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பயணிகள் இருந்தனர். அந்தப் பேருந்து திருச்சி மேலபுதூர் ரயில்வே சுரங்க பாலத்தில் சென்றபோது, தேங்கி நின்ற தண்ணீரில் மூழ்கியதால், பேருந்து திடீரென பழுதானது. அதில் இருந்த பயணிகள் உடனடியாக மீட்கப் பட்டனர். அதனையடுத்து அவ்வழியே பேருந்து போக்குவரத்து தடைசெய்யப்பட்டது.

இந்நிலையில் மழைநீரில் சிக்கிய பேருந்தை அரசு போக்குவரத்து கழகத்தின் மீட்பு வாகனம் மூலம் மீட்டனர். மேலும் திருச்சி மாநகராட்சி ஊழியர்கள், மோட்டார் மூலம் தண்ணீரை வெளியேற்றும் பணியில் தொடர்ந்து ஈடுபட்டு வந்தனர். ஒருநாள் முழுவதும் மாநகராட்சி ஊழியர்கள் போராடி தண்ணீரை வெளியேற்றி வந்த நிலையில், நேற்று(10-05-2018) மதியம் மீண்டும் மழை வெளுத்து வாங்கியதால் ஊழியர்கள் செய்வதறியாமல் தவித்துக் கிடக்கின்றனர்.

நேற்றும் தனியார் பேருந்து ஒன்று அதே பாலத்தில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டது. அதனையடுத்து கிரேன் மூலம் பேருந்தை மீட்டனர். மேலும் பலத்த மழை காரணமாக திருச்சி விமான நிலைய வளாகத்திலும் வெள்ளம் பெருக்கெடுத்து ஓடியது. விமான நிலையத்திற்குள் சென்று வரும் வழியில் உள்ள போர்டிகோ வரை மழைநீர் தேங்கி நின்றதால், சிங்கப்பூர், இலங்கையில் இருந்து திருச்சி வரவேண்டிய விமானங்கள் வழக்கமான நேரத்தைவிட, காலதாமதமாக வந்தன.

அடையாளம் தெரியாத நபர்கள் அல்லது சந்தேகத்துக்குரிய நபர்கள் குறித்து காவல்துறையினரிடம் தான் தகவல் தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும். வாட்ஸ் அப்பில் வதந்தி பரப்புவோரை சமூக விரோதிகளாக கருதி அவர்கள் மீது குண்டர் சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும்.குழந்தை கடத்துவதாக வாட்ஸ் அப்பில் வந்த தவறான தகவலால் 2 பேர் அடித்து கொலை செய்யப்பட்டதை தொடர்ந்து இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என வேலூர் எஸ்.பி. பகலவன் கூறினார்.

இதுபோன்று, காஞ்சிபுரம் எஸ்.பி சந்தோஷ் ஹதிமானி வாட்ஸ் அப்பில் வதந்தி பரப்புவோருக்கு எச்சரிக்கை விடுத்துள்ளார்.

விழுப்புரத்தில் சந்தேகப்படும் நபர்கள் குறித்து 9655440092 என்ற வாட்ஸ் அப் எண்ணில் புகார் அளிக்கலாம். விழுப்புரம் மாவட்டத்தில் குழந்தைகளை கடத்தும் வட மாநிலத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் யாரும் இல்லை. தவறான தகவலை பரப்பக் கூடாது என அம்மாவட்ட எஸ்.பி. தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Ministry of Home Affairs sends official letter to former CM’s residence

The Central Government committed a faux pas by sending a letter extending the term of office of the seven MLAs as Chairmen of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to former Chief Minister N. Rangasamy’s residential address instead of the Chief Minister’s office.

Pointing to this error, Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy immediately sent a letter from his office to the Central Government.

The Puducherry government had sought clarification from the Central government about the terms and conditions laid down by Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi in the extension of the term of office of Chairmen of PSUs.

The letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs addressed to the Chief Secretary, Government of Puducherry, said that the matter was examined and that no terms and conditions have been prescribed for appointment of chairpersons in the respective Acts or Rules under which the respective appointment have been made except in relation to the Puducherry Planning Authority and the Puducherry Slum Clearance Board.

The letter signed by Satish Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, was copied to Secretary to Lieutenant Governor, Government of Puducherry, and PS to Chief Minister, Government of Puducherry, Puducherry CM office, Vinayagar Koil Street, Thilaspet.

However, the CM office address in the letter turned out to be the residential address of the former Chief Minister.

Some unreserved coaches chug free in Guruvayur Express

There is no place even to stand in the unreserved coaches found in the front and rear of the Chennai-bound Guruvayur Express.

As passengers are clueless about the coaches in the middle of the formation

Though adequate number of general coaches are available in Guruvayur Express running between Chennai Egmore and Guruvayur/Thoothukudi, absence of announcements in railway stations about the availability of unreserved coaches in the middle of the train formation makes the passengers jostle for space in the few coaches placed in the front and rear.

The train that starts from Guruvayur comes with 18 coaches. One set each of three unreserved coaches (two general coaches and a seating-cum-luggage van) are left in the front and back portions of this rake. The Thoothukudi Link Express comes with a rake of seven coaches. It has one SLR and an unreserved coach in the front portion and another SLR in the back. These general coaches and SLR have unreserved seating facility.

The Thoothukudi Link Express is attached as the front portion of the combined rake at Vanchi Maniyachi Junction. This leaves five unreserved coaches (including SLR coaches) in the middle when the train leaves Vanchi Maniyachi.

With the Railway having the tradition of providing unreserved coaches only in the front and rear portions of trains, passengers with open tickets wait only in the extreme ends of the platforms to vie for space. And this is true in this train too.

On Thursday, the five coaches in the middle had relatively less crowd with people seen lying on seats and a few vacant seats too even as the train left Madurai junction. However, the scene in the five other coaches in the front and back was different as they were jam-packed.

People were seen sitting on the footboard, near the toilets and also in the pathways leading to different bays. In two coaches, people did not find space on the floor even to sit and had to stand. Among them were women and children.

A Railway source said that the plight of people could be easily solved by making announcements through public address system about the availability of general coaches in the middle at all railway stations from Vanchi Maniyachi. “Though there are coach indication display boards on platforms in Madurai junction, a lot of unreserved passengers fail to take notice. Besides, many stations en route do not have such boards. Hence, only announcements made a few minutes before arrival of the train will help people find space and avoid all inconvenience,” he said.

This will be of great help for unplanned rail journeys during summer vacation.

S. Subbiah, Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University called upon teaching and non-teaching staff to strive to get international recognition while addressing the 34th Foundation Day of the university and the Administrative Staff Day after declaring open non-teaching staff association building here on Wednesday.

He honoured the administrative staff by giving certificates and mementoes in recognition of their service when the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited the university.

Pointing that the foundation day coincided with the administrative staff day, he said the good work of non-teaching fraternity helped effective functioning of the University.

P. Kanniappan, former Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University, who initiated the first NAAC accreditation process and secured “A” grade for the university, said coordination among higher officials would help to steer the institution on a higher trajectory.

Success formula

He appealed to the administrators to concentrate on human relationship which was very essential for their own success and the success of the institution.
