VC honours staff

S. Subbiah, Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University called upon teaching and non-teaching staff to strive to get international recognition while addressing the 34th Foundation Day of the university and the Administrative Staff Day after declaring open non-teaching staff association building here on Wednesday.
He honoured the administrative staff by giving certificates and mementoes in recognition of their service when the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited the university.
Pointing that the foundation day coincided with the administrative staff day, he said the good work of non-teaching fraternity helped effective functioning of the University.
P. Kanniappan, former Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University, who initiated the first NAAC accreditation process and secured “A” grade for the university, said coordination among higher officials would help to steer the institution on a higher trajectory.

He appealed to the administrators to concentrate on human relationship which was very essential for their own success and the success of the institution.
H. Gurumallesh Prabu, Registrar, V. Balachandran, special officer (planning and development), M. Murugesan, secretary, non-teaching staff association and Syndicate members A. Narayanamoorthy, K. Gurunathan and J. Jeyakanthan and P. Subas Chandra Bose were present.
