NEET UG 2017 is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges.

NEET UG 2017 is the examination which is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges. In order to apply for NEET UG 2017, the basic requirement that the candidates should fulfill is that the candidates need to be a Indian national or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). It is important to note that the overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in seats under the control of participating states/Universities/Medical Institutions. It is important to note that the candidates should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 (year of admission) for the Colleges that are not covered under NEET.

There are some institutes which conduct their own entrance exam. The institutes which conduct their own entrance exam include Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research JIPMER and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) offers MBBS. There are about 200 seats. and the admission at JIPMER is done on the basis of JIPMER MBBS entrance exam. The exam will be conducted on June 4, 2017.The functions of the JIPMER institute aims to impart quality education in Under-graduate and Post-graduate medical and paramedical courses, to set trends in medical research and to offer patient care of high order. For the NEET UG Exam Section the aspirants need to go through the various sections which include Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Aspirants are required to note that there are 21 topics in Physics section, Chemistry section will have 24 sections while for biology section there are 12 topics. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi will conduct the AIIMS MBBS 2017 on May 28 for admission to 700 MBBS seats in 7 AIIMS like institutions. The AIIMS MBBS 2017 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 3 hours & 30 minutes. The online exam will be conducted in two slots – morning and evening. Candidates have to appear for the online test as per slot allotted to them. The result of AIIMS MBBS 2017 will be basis for selection of 700 candidates in 7 AIIMS. All the seats are equally distributed in each of 7 AIIMS situated at New Delhi, Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar. The notification for medical entrance exam NEET 2017 exam is expected to be released at official website of aipmt.nic.in. It is expected that the medical entrance exam NEET 2017 will be conducted in the month of May 2017. While filling up the application form, the aspirants will need to fulfill basic criteria such as filling the online Application Form and note down the registration number. Aspirants will need to upload photo. signature and right hand index finger impression, make payment of fee through credit/debit card, net-banking or by e-challan.

After which the aspirants will print the confirmation page after the successful remittance of fee. It is important for the candidate is required to mention only his/her own or parent’s mobile number(One mobile number and e-mail ID can be used for filling one application only). Aspirants need to know that all information/communication will be sent by CBSE on registered mobile number and e-mail Id. Candidates are required to preserve their Admit Card and all documents as mentioned in serial No.-7 till the admission in College or Institution. National eligibility cum entrance test -II (UG), 2016 will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Admit Card, Passport size Photograph and Post Card Size Photograph affixed on proforma. All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet only. All the candidate will not do any rough work or put stray mark on the machine gradable Answer Sheet. Pen will be provided at the centre for writing of particulars on the Test Booklet and responses on the Answer Sheet. AIPMT is yet to issue detailed information of test, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear/admission, reservation, examination fee, cities of examination, state code of eligibility, Age etc is available on website aipmt.nic.in. Candidates can check all the detailed information in the online information bulletin before submission of application. Candidates are required to note that the upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats in Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Government, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana   is 25 years as on 31st December, of the year of the entrance examination. This upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

UGC reminds Universities to follow Fee Refund Guidelines, promises strict action in case of breach

UGC have asked all the universities to follow Fee refund guidelines. And the commission has also restricted the submission of original documents.

After several grievances from the students and as well as from the parents, the University Grant Commission (UGC) has decided to work on the issues like submission of original documents and fee refund. The commission has released an official notification a few days back related to these issues. ‘Remittance and refund of fees and other student-centric Issues’ is the header of the notification and the commission has mentioned in the notification that this was approved by the Commission in its 519th meeting held on November 15. The official notification is available on the official website.

According to an official, the UGC has taken a serious view of these matters which have been brought to its notice by students and other stakeholders and will take strict action against universities and their affiliated/constituent colleges breaching the provisions of this notification.

None of the educational institutions can make it mandatory for students to purchase a prospectus; they will have to offer them a full refund if admission is canceled by the student within 15 days.

Only for the semester or year in which a student is to engage in academic activities, institutions can charge a fee in advance only otherwise it is prohibited. Collecting advance fees for the entire program of study or for more than one semester/year in which a student is enrolled is strictly prohibited as it restricts the student from exercising other options of enrolment elsewhere.

Taking the certificates and testimonials into institutional custody under any circumstances or pretexts is strictly prohibited.

All universities shall mandatorily constitute a “Grievance Redressal Committee” (GRC) mandated by UGC (Grievance Redressal) Regulations 2012 to address and effectively resolve complaints, representations,and grievances related to any of the issues mentioned in this notification, among others articulated in the regulations. The GRC shall do all it takes to ensure that its departments and affiliated colleges unfailingly comply with all the instructions articulated in this notification.

These rules will come into effect from the next academic year. And, these rules will be applicable to Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programs run by all statutory universities recognized by UGC under Section 2 (f) of UGC Act, together with all colleges under their affiliating domain and institutions declared as deemed to be universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act.

மும்பை வான்கடே மைதானத்தில் விராட் கோலி தலைமையிலான இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் அணி அடைந்திருக்கும் சரித்திர வெற்றிக்காக, அந்த அணியினரை எவ்வளவு பாராட்டினாலும் தகும். ராஜ்கோட், விசாகப்பட்டினம், மொஹாலி, மும்பை, சென்னை என்று ஐந்து நகரங்களில் நடைபெறும் இங்கிலாந்துக்கு எதிரான டெஸ்ட் கிரிக்கெட் தொடரில், ராஜ்கோட்டில் நடந்த முதல் பந்தயம் இரு தரப்புக்கும் வெற்றியில்லாமல் சமனில் முடிந்தது. அடுத்ததாக, விசாகப்பட்டினம், மொஹாலி வெற்றியைத் தொடர்ந்து இப்போது மும்பையிலும் வெற்றி பெற்று 3-0 என்கிற அளவில் இந்தியா இந்த டெஸ்ட் பந்தயத் தொடரை வென்றிருக்கிறது.
மும்பையில் இந்தியா அடைந்திருக்கும் வெற்றி என்பது சாதாரணமானதல்ல. இன்னிங்ஸ் மற்றும் 36 ரன்கள் வித்தியாசத்தில் வென்றது யாருமே எதிர்பாராத திருப்பம். இத்தனைக்கும் முதல் இன்னிங்ஸில் இங்கிலாந்து 400 ரன்களைக் குவித்தபோது, பலரும் இந்தியா தோல்வியைத் தழுவும் என்று எதிர்பார்த்தனர். ஆனால், தொடர்ந்து ஆடிய இந்திய அணி 182.3 ஓவர்களில் 631 ரன்களை குவிக்க, இரண்டாவது இன்னிங்ஸை ஆடிய இங்கிலாந்தால் அதை எட்டிப் பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை.
மும்பை டெஸ்டில் இந்தியா அடைந்திருக்கும் வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்பு மிக்க வெற்றிக்கு முக்கியக் காரணம் கேப்டன் விராட் கோலியின் பேட்டிங்கும், அஸ்வினின் அபாரமான பந்து வீச்சும் என்றாலும், ஒட்டுமொத்த இந்திய அணியும் இந்த வெற்றிக்குப் பங்களிப்பு நல்கி இருக்கிறது. விராட் கோலியின் இரட்டை சதத்திற்கு எள்ளளவும் குறைந்ததல்ல, ஒன்பதாவது ஆட்டக்காரராகக் களமிறங்கி 104 ரன்களை எடுத்த ஜெயந்த் யாதவின் பங்களிப்பு. முரளி விஜய் (136), சேதேஷ்வர் புஜாரா (47) ஆகியோரின் ஆட்டமும் இந்தியா 631 ரன்களைக் குவித்து இன்னிங்ஸ் வெற்றி பெறுவதற்குக் காரணமாக இருந்தன.
சுழற்பந்து வீச்சாளரான நம்ம ஊர் அஸ்வின் இந்தியக் கிரிக்கெட் வானில் தமிழகத்தின் கொடியை மீண்டும் பறக்க விட்டிருக்கிறார். ஒரு இன்னிங்ஸில் 5 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்துவது என்பதே பெரிய சாதனை. கடந்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளில் மட்டும் 15 இன்னிங்ஸ்களில் 5 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்தி சாதனை புரிந்திருக்கிறார். இன்று சென்னையில் தொடங்க இருக்கும் கடைசி டெஸ்ட் பந்தயத்திலும் அவர் 5 விக்கெட்டுகளை வீழ்த்தினால், அது இன்னுமொரு சாதனையாக இருக்கும். வருங்காலத்தில், இவர் அனில் கும்ப்ளே, ஹர்பஜன் சிங் ஆகியோரின் சாதனைகளை முறியடித்தாலும் வியப்படைவதற்கில்லை.
இங்கிலாந்துக்கு எதிரான இந்தியாவின் வெற்றியில் நாம் பெருமைப்படுவதற்கு நிறையவே இருக்கிறது. கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் இங்கிலாந்துக்கு எதிராக நடந்த மூன்று டெஸ்ட் தொடர்களிலும் நாம் தோல்வியைத் தழுவியிருக்கிறோம். 2011, 2014-இல் இங்கிலாந்திலும், 2012-இல் இந்தியாவிலும் நடந்த இந்த டெஸ்ட் பந்தயங்கள் சர்வதேச கிரிக்கெட்டில் இந்தியா முதலிடம் பெறுவதைத் தடுத்தன. இப்போது விராட் கோலி தலைமைப் பொறுப்பை ஏற்ற பிறகு நிலைமையே வேறு.
கடந்த 17 டெஸ்ட் பந்தயங்களில் இந்தியா ஒரு முறைகூடத் தோல்வியைத் தழுவியதில்லை. 13 பந்தயங்களில் வெற்றி, நான்கு போட்டிகள் டிராவில் முடிந்தன. இதற்கு முன்னால் 1985 முதல் 1987 வரையிலான காலகட்டத்தில் கபில்தேவ் தலைமையில் இந்திய அணி தோல்வியைத் தழுவாமல் 17 போட்டிகளை சந்தித்தது. ஆனால், அப்போது 12 போட்டிகள் டிராவிலும், ஒரு போட்டி "டை'யிலும், நான்கில் மட்டுமே வெற்றியும் கிட்டின. இப்போது விராட் கோலி தலைமையிலான அணி 17-இல் 13 பந்தயங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கிறது.
அனில் கும்ப்ளே பயிற்சியாளராகப் பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டதும், அவருக்கும் கேப்டன் விராட் கோலிக்கும் இடையேயான புரிதல் நன்றாக இருப்பதும், விராட் கோலியின் குழுவினருக்குள் இருக்கும் ஒற்றுமையும்தான் இந்திய அணியின் தொடர் வெற்றிக்குக் காரணம். இலங்கை, தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா, மேற்கிந்தியத் தீவுகள், நியூஸிலாந்து, இங்கிலாந்து என்று ஐந்து நாட்டு அணிகளுக்கு எதிரான டெஸ்ட் தொடர்களை இந்தியா வென்றிருக்கிறது. ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிற்கு எதிராகவும் இதேபோல இந்தியா வெற்றியை நிகழ்த்துமானால் உலகின் தலைசிறந்த கிரிக்கெட் குழுவாக விராட் கோலி தலைமையிலான இந்தியக் குழு புகழ் சூடும்.
அலாஸ்டர் குக் தலைமையிலான இங்கிலாந்து குழுவினரின் ஆட்டத்தையும் குறைத்து மதிப்பிட்டுவிட முடியாது. அந்த அணியினர் தொடரின் இரண்டு டெஸ்ட் போட்டிகளில் தோல்வி அடைந்த பிறகும்கூடத் தளராமல் மும்பை டெஸ்டில் விளையாடி 400 ரன்களைக் குவித்தனர். ஜென்னிங்ஸின் சதமும், ஜோஸ் பட்லரின் 76 ரன்களும் இங்கிலாந்து அணியைக் காப்பாற்றாமல் போனதற்கு, அந்த அணி இந்திய மைதானத்தை சரியாகப் புரிந்து கொள்ளாததுதான் காரணம். மும்பை வான்கடே மைதானம் சுழற்பந்து வீச்சாளர்களுக்கான மைதானம். அதில் இங்கிலாந்து அணி தொடர்ந்து களமிறக்கியது வேகப்பந்து வீச்சாளர்களை. அந்தப் பந்துகளை விராட் கோலி சர்வ சாதாரணமாக பவுண்டரியாகவும், சிக்ஸராகவும் விளாசித் தள்ளிவிட்டார்.
இந்திய அணியைப் பொருத்தவரை, பேட்டிங் அருமை, சுழற்பந்து வீச்சு சிறப்பு, தொடக்கப் பந்து வீச்சு அற்புதம் என்று கூறும்படியாக அமைந்திருந்ததுதான் வெற்றியின் ரகசியம். "எங்கள் வீரர்களின் கடும் போராட்டத்திற்குக் கிடைத்த வெற்றி' என்று விராட் கோலி கூறினாலும்கூட, இது உண்மையில் விராட் கோலியின் தலைமைக்குக் கிடைத்த வெற்றி என்பதுதான் நிஜம்.
இந்திய மைதானத்தில் விராட் கோலி அணியினர் ஈட்டியிருக்கும் இதே வெற்றியைத் தொடர்ந்து வெளிநாட்டு மைதானங்களிலும் ஈட்டி வெற்றி வாகை சூடவேண்டும். அதற்கான திறமையும், வாய்ப்பும் நிறையவே உண்டு!

சென்னை: அதிமுகவுக்கு சசிகலா தலைமை ஏற்க வேண்டும் என அழைப்பு விடுக்கும் வகையில் ஒட்டப்படும் போஸ்டர்களால் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

தமிழக முதல்வராக இருந்த ஜெயலலிதா மறைவைத் தொடர்ந்து அதிமுகவில் அடுத்த தலைமை யார் என்பதில் பெரும் குழப்பம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. சசிகலாவுக்கு ஆதரவாகவும் எதிராகவும் குரல்கள் வெளிப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. அதிமுகவின் ஒரு தரப்பினர் ஆதரவு போஸ்டர்களை ஒட்டி வருகின்றனர். அதேநேரம் மற்றொரு தரப்பினர் எதிராகவும் போஸ்டர்களை ஒட்டி பரபரப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். இதனால் சசிகலா தலைமை ஏற்பதில் சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.






இந்த நிலையில் சசிகலாவே தலைமை ஏற்க வேண்டும் என அழைப்பு விடுத்து வேடசந்தூர் சட்டசபை தொகுதி எம்.எல்.ஏ. டாக்டர் பரமசிவம் பெயரில் ஒட்டப்பட்டுள்ள சுவரொட்டிகளால் பெரும் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஜெயலலிதா அரசியலுக்கு வந்த போது அவருக்கு ஆதரவாக முதன் முதலாக பொதுக் கூட்டத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியவர் தற்போதைய வேடசந்தூர் எம்.எல்.ஏ. பரமசிவத்தின் தந்தை முன்னாள் துணை சபாநாயகர் வி.பி. பாலசுப்பிரமணியம். அவர் அப்போது ஜெயலலிதாவுக்கு "திராவிட செல்வி" என பட்டம் சூட்டியிருந்தார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

அரசு ஊழியர்களுக்கு 7 சதவீதம் அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

ஜூலை 1 ஆம் தேதி முதல் முன்தேதியிட்டு இந்த அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும் என்று முதல்வர் ஓ.பன்னீர்செல்வம் அறிவித்துள்ளார். இதுகுறித்து, முதல்வர் வியாழக்கிழமை வெளியிட்ட அறிவிப்பு:-

அரசு அலுவலர்கள், ஆசிரியர்களின் நலனைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் அகவிலைப்படியை ஜூலை 1 ஆம் தேதி முதல் உயர்த்தி அளிக்க உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளேன்.

திருத்திய ஊதியம் பெற்றுள்ள மத்திய அரசு அலுவலர்களுக்கு ஜூலை 1 ஆம் தேதி முதல் 2 சதவீதம் எனவும், திருத்திய ஊதியம் பெறாத மத்திய அரசு அலுவலர்களுக்கு 7 சதவீதம் எனவும் அகவிலைப்படியை மத்திய அரசு உயர்த்தியுள்ளது. 

யார் யாருக்கு பொருந்தும்? மத்திய அரசைத் தொடர்ந்து, தமிழக அரசு அலுவலர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள், ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள், குடும்ப ஓய்வூதியதாரர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் அகவிலைப்படி ஜூலை 1 ஆம் தேதி முதல் 7 சதவீதம் உயர்த்தி அளிக்கப்படும். இதன்படி அகவிலைப்படி 125 சதவீதத்தில் இருந்து 132 சதவீதமாக உயரும்.

அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வு உள்ளாட்சி நிறுவனங்கள், அரசு மானியம் பெறும் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் பணிபுரியும் அலுவலர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள், வருவாய்த் துறையில் பணிபுரியும் கிராம உதவியாளர்கள், அங்கன்வாடி-சத்துணவு ஊழியர்கள், ஊராட்சி செயலாளர்கள், வழக்கமாக அகவிலைப்படி அளிக்கப்படும் அனைத்து அரசு அலுவலர்கள், ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள், குடும்ப ஓய்வூதியதாரர்களுக்கும் இந்த அறிவிப்பு பொருந்தும்.

எவ்வளவு கிடைக்கும்? அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வால் அரசு ஊழியர்களுக்கு ரூ.427 முதல் ரூ.5,390 வரையில் ஊதிய உயர்வும், ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள்-குடும்ப ஓய்வூதியதாரர்களுக்கு ரூ.214 முதல் ரூ.2,695 வரையில் ஓய்வூதிய உயர்வும் கிடைக்கும். ஜூலை 1 முதல் நவம்பர் 30 வரையிலான காலத்துக்கான அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வு அவரவர் வங்கிக் கணக்கில் மொத்தமாகச் செலுத்தப்படும். இந்த மாதம் முதல் அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வு மாத ஊதியத்துடன் சேர்த்து அளிக்கப்படும்.

18 லட்சம் பேர் பயன்: அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வால் சுமார் 18 லட்சம் அரசு அலுவலர்கள், ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள், குடும்ப ஓய்வூதியதாரர்கள் பயன் பெறுவர். அகவிலைப்படி உயர்வால் அரசுக்கு ஆண்டுக்கு சுமார் ரூ.1,833.33 கோடி கூடுதல் செலவு ஏற்படும் என்று முதல்வர் ஓ.பன்னீர்செல்வம் அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

வண்டலூர் உயிரியல் பூங்கா காலவரையின்றி மூடல்

"வர்தா' புயலின் கோரத் தாண்டவத்தில் வண்டலூர் அறிஞர் அண்ணா உயிரியல் பூங்கா பலத்த சேதத்தை சந்தித்துள்ளதையடுத்து, பூங்கா காலவரையின்றி மூடப்படுவதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கோர புயலின் காரணமாக பூங்காவில் இருந்த 12 ஆயிரம் மரங்கள் வேராடு பெயர்ந்து விழுந்துள்ளதால், பசுமை போர்த்தி காணப்பட்ட இப்பூங்கா இன்று ஒரு புதர் போல் காட்சியளிக்கிறது.
வர்தா புயலால், வண்டலூர் உயிரியல் பூங்காவில் ரூ.20 கோடி அளவுக்கு சேதம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாக மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. வண்டலூர் பூங்கா, தெற்கு ஆசியாவிலேயே மிகப்பெரிய உயிரியல் பூங்கா என்ற சிறப்பு பெற்றது. 1,265 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவு கொண்ட இந்த பூங்காவில்,1,500க்கும் அதிகமான விலங்குகள் பராமரிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.

இதில் பாலூட்டி வகைகளில் 38 இனங்களும், பறவைகளில் 20 இனங்களும், ஊர்வனங்களில் 14 இனங்களும் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்றன. மேலும் இனப்பெருக்கங்களும் அதிகளவில் நடைபெறுகின்றன. தினமும் 5,000 -க்கும் மேற்பட்டோரும், விடுமுறை நாட்களில் 10,000க்கும் மேற்பட்டோரும் பூங்காவுக்கு வந்து செல்கின்றனர். சுற்றுலா முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த இந்த பூங்கா, வர்தா புயலின் தாக்கத்தால் தற்போது முற்றிலுமாக முடங்கியுள்ளது. மேலும் பூங்கா காலவரையின்றி மூடப்படவுதாகவும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
