NEET UG 2017: Colleges that are not covered under NEET

NEET UG 2017 is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges.


NEET UG 2017 is the examination which is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges. In order to apply for NEET UG 2017, the basic requirement that the candidates should fulfill is that the candidates need to be a Indian national or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). It is important to note that the overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in seats under the control of participating states/Universities/Medical Institutions. It is important to note that the candidates should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 (year of admission) for the Colleges that are not covered under NEET.

There are some institutes which conduct their own entrance exam. The institutes which conduct their own entrance exam include Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research JIPMER and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) offers MBBS. There are about 200 seats. and the admission at JIPMER is done on the basis of JIPMER MBBS entrance exam. The exam will be conducted on June 4, 2017.The functions of the JIPMER institute aims to impart quality education in Under-graduate and Post-graduate medical and paramedical courses, to set trends in medical research and to offer patient care of high order. For the NEET UG Exam Section the aspirants need to go through the various sections which include Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Aspirants are required to note that there are 21 topics in Physics section, Chemistry section will have 24 sections while for biology section there are 12 topics. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi will conduct the AIIMS MBBS 2017 on May 28 for admission to 700 MBBS seats in 7 AIIMS like institutions. The AIIMS MBBS 2017 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 3 hours & 30 minutes. The online exam will be conducted in two slots – morning and evening. Candidates have to appear for the online test as per slot allotted to them. The result of AIIMS MBBS 2017 will be basis for selection of 700 candidates in 7 AIIMS. All the seats are equally distributed in each of 7 AIIMS situated at New Delhi, Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.
