Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) patriarch Om Prakash (OP) Chautala targeted the government on Sunday and said that in society the people from every section are distressed due to misgovernance of the ruling government.

OP Chautala was in Yamunanagar at the house of INLD's national vice-president Ashwini Dutta where he said, "The people want to get rid of this government and a third morcha (front) is required for the same. I will make efforts to form a third front after holding discussions with all like-minded parties. We have come to the field for this task."

On the recent Ellenabad election in Haryana, OP Chautala said, "There were candidates of all the parties against the INLD candidate. To buy the voters even the amount of Rs 10,000 was paid and the government machinery was openly misused. Despite all odds, the INLD candidate won."

Speaking to the media at Yamunanagar, OP Chautala said, "It is unfortunate that seven years have passed and the “PM has not held even a single press conference.”

About the farmers’ protest, Chautala said, The people from all backgrounds of the society are participating in the kisan andolan (farmers' protest). It is expected that the kisan andolan will continue for long but the farmers will win in this struggle and the government will have to repeal all three black laws."

Talking about increasing inflation, Chautala said, “All are suffering losses in their business. Industries are closed. Employees, traders, labourers, farmers, everyone is affected due to inflation. The government's motive remains to benefit its people and the policies are framed accordingly. The economic situation in Haryana is very poor. The INLD government had left Rs 2,000 crore in the government's treasury. But the present government is under Rs 2.50 lakh crore debt. The government is taking loans to give salaries to its employees.”

Chautala also said, “The drums of development are being beaten in Haryana, whereas, the ground reality is totally opposite. There is no development visible in Haryana actually.” He highlighted the ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ programme of the INLD’s government and claimed that they went to the villages and granted funds for the development works. To a query about any alliance with BJP in future, Chautala said, “Everything depends on the situation. In politics, nobody is untouchable and a decision will be taken according to the prevailing circumstances.”
