Flight lands safely after fuel leak mid-air

New Delhi:27.05.2020

An AirAsia India flight from Jaipur from Hyderabad had an inflight shutdown of an engine due to fuel leak on Tuesday. The Airbus A320 (VT IXC, not a Neo) with 70 passengers and 6 crew members made a safe precautionary landing at its destination.

An AirAsia India spokesperson said the aircraft “encountered a technical issue and carried out a precautionary engine shut down. Handling the situation calmly in a professional manner the crew landed at Shamshabad, as scheduled. We are carrying out detailed inspection of the aircraft, having informed DGCA we are assisting in the investigation to establish the cause.” TNN
