Online exam: DU teachers write to Prez

A group of Dalit professors have written against Delhi University’s open book online exam policy to President Ramnath Kovind, alleging that the move would prove detrimental to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

The professors stated that they are teaching in DU after going through a long drawn struggle as students of Dalit families from rural background. “Our own experiences have alarmed us over the decision of the administration to conduct online open book examination, which will push SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD students on the wrong side of digital divide,” they said, requesting the President to look into the matter.
