CBSE Class 12: Chennai region pass percentage dips

The pass percentage of CBSE Class 12 students in the Chennai region, of which Karnataka is a part, is 92.93 this year. This is a decline of 0.94 percentage points when compared to the region’s performance in the 2018-19 academic year.

The exam results were announced on Thursday.

This year, the Chennai region has retained the second spot in the country in terms of pass percentage like last year. The first spot has been bagged by the Thiruvananthapuram region which secured 98.2 per cent pass.

No student from Karnataka made it to the top three spots, which has been shared by 23 students.

The State toppers are — Jeffin Biju from Sri Chaitanya Techno School and Ananya R. Burli from BGS National Public School. Both secured 493 marks.
