UGC nod for KSOU’s 31 courses

D. Shivalingaiah, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), has said that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has permitted KSOU to offer 31 in-house non-technical programmes.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Prof. Shivalingaiah said UGC had granted recognition to KSOU in accordance with its 2017 regulations. Accordingly, admissions were started during July 2018 and around 12,000 students were admitted. Subsequently, admissions were made for B.Ed and MBA programmes during the 2019 cycle. The KSOU had submitted statistics to the UGC.
As per the timetable prescribed by UGC, the last date for admission to programmes and courses was August 31, 2019. The students will have adequate time to get admission to the KSOU.
