Governor launches Connect-Chancellor

In a move to bring out innovative, exciting and novel ideas from students, Governor and Chancellor, State Universities, Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday launched a special initiative called ‘Connect-Chancellor’.
The initiative aims at providing an opportunity for university students to project their creativity, innovations, views and ideas in the form of articles, stories, poems etc.
The initiative is also aimed at enriching writing skills and thought provoking among students besides to promote academic development.
In three languages
Students studying graduation or above courses in State universities are eligible to participate in ‘Connect-Chancellor’ by submitting their articles, stories, poems, etc., in the suggested topics. The topics included role of print and electronic media during Covid-19 pandemic, impact of Covid-19 in healthcare in Telangana State, impact of social distancing and lockdown on the spread of the pandemic, 'online education during the outbreak of Covid-19 - A way forward', use of artificial intelligence in dealing with the Covid-19 cases and so on.
Students need not limit themselves to the topics listed. He/she can write on any issue that is relevant to the contemporary society. The articles can be written in English/Hindi/Telugu/Urdu languages.
Rs 15,000
prize money
Students will be awarded Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 for first, second and third best papers respectively. The papers can be submitted by May 10 to the email connect-chancellor@telangana.gov.in, or can be sent through WhatsApp to 8978586666. Each article submitted by students should not exceed 3,000 words with an abstract of 250 words, according to a press release.
