Hyderabad:  28.04.2020

All the universities are awaiting guidelines on the next academic year from the University Grants Commission (UGC), which has constituted two separate committees to look into teaching-learning processes, exams, admissions and other related issues in view of the Covid-19 pandemic and national lockdown.

“We had to postpone all the semester and practicals exams due to the lockdown extension. We are now waiting for the University Grants Commission guidelines to decide on further course of action,” said Prof Sriram Venkatesh, controller of examination at Osmania University.

The committees constituted by the University Grants Commission have submitted their report last week and the commission is likely to issue guidelines. The UGC guidelines will be regarding the measures to be taken for the current academic session as well as next academic session in the larger interests of the student community.
