UGC to issue advisory on academic session

This week, the University Grants Commission (UGC) will be issuing guidelines/advisories to universities and colleges with regard to measures to be taken for current academic session as well as the next academic session.

The UGC constituted two committees — one headed by Central University of Haryana Vice-Chancellor Prof R C Kuhad to look into the examinations and academic calendar and another headed by IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nageshwar Rao to look into promoting online education.

In a press release, the UGC said both the panels submitted their reports on April 20. “The reports will be discussed in the UGC Commission meeting and based on the decision, UGC will issue guidelines/advisories, to universities and colleges regarding steps to be taken for the current and the next academic session.
