Nurses allege denial of maternity leave

Nursing professionals have written to the Labour and Employment Ministry asking it to ensure that those working in the private sector are given the maternity benefits they are entitled to by law. Some medical centres, they complain, do not grant leave at all and some others who permit leave do not pay for the period.
