The total cost for this purpose in Tamil Nadu is ₹2.47 crore.

Rivals show rare bonhomie
At a time when rival camps are at each other’s throats during election campaigns, Tiruvarur was witness to a rare bonhomie between two leaders of the opposite camps on Monday night. In fact, Nagapattinam parliament segment’s CPI candidate M Selvarasu even attended his rival Naam Tamilar Katchi leader Seeman’s meeting for sometime. “Some people have raised doubts about my gesture but my car was stuck in the congestion near the venue of Seeman’s meeting. So I decided to get down and listen to him, that was all,” Selvarasu told TOI.
