Make a splash this summer at Dubai’s exciting waterparks

Times of India

While Dubai is home to a wealth of tourist attractions, the city’s water parks are the ones that keep bringing visitors back time after time. With year-round sunshine, the parks have something for everyone, from thrilling rides for adrenaline junkies to idyllic beaches and poolside loungers for those who like to take things a little easier.

Wild Wadi

Right by the iconic Burj Al Arab, Dubai’s original water park is the place to go for wet, wild, white knuckle rides — from the 80km/h Jumeirah Sceirah tandem slides to the tornadoes of Tantrum Valley. Wild Wadi has a heated/cooled wave pool, multiple water slides and two artificial surfing machines. In addition, the park had the largest water slide outside of North America, but it has since been removed to make space for two other rides. Another feature of the park is an 18 m (59 ft) waterfall that goes off every 10 minutes. The wave pool, action river and surf simulators keep the thrills coming, and there’s just as much fun to be had in the family zone — just watch out for the dumping buckets!

Price and opening hours: DHS 275 for adults, DHS 230 for children, 10 am-7 pm.

Laguna Waterpark In between panoramic views of the ocean and Dubai’s skyline, Laguna Waterpark is the complete package for a carefree, seaside escape for the whole family. At the heart of Dubai’s coolest beachfront destination of La Mer, this waterpark has it all. From relaxing cabanas to thrilling waterslides, the park is an all-day experience layered with food and entertainment. Apart from access to the entire waterpark, this booking gives you four exclusive Fast Pass access to the slide tower, sun loungers, beach towels, welcome drinks, a seasonal fruit platter and a private safe for your valuables.

Price and opening hours: Start at AED 125 per person, 10 am-8 pm, Monday - Sunday.

Aquaventure

Enter a world of thrills, spills and record-breaking rides at Dubai’s biggest water park. Part of the spectacular Atlantis resort on The Palm, you can float through a shark-filled lagoon, take the jawdropping Leap of Faith or drift along the Lazy River. The Splashers play area will keep little adventurers happy, while the region’s longest zip wire offers unbeatable views of the Dubai coastline.

Price and opening hours: DHS 260 (DHS 215 for kids), 10 am-5:30 pm.

LegoLand Waterpark

LEGOLAND® Dubai and LEGOLAND® Water Park are the ultimate year-round theme park destinations in the Middle East for families. They offer hands-on experiences allowing families to take part in a full day LEGO® themed adventures through interactive rides, water slides, models and building experiences. Just 20 minutes from the Dubai Marina, splash your way through a full day of LEGO® themed fun with 20 water slides and attractions designed for families with kids aged 2-12. Most of the rides and slides at Legoland Water Park allow tweens to race each other or go in groups. The Duplo Splash Safari caters to toddlers while a few single slides provide thrills for the braver big kids. Children can also exercise their brains with Build-A-Boat where they can construct any kind of boat imaginable. They can put it to the test against the current to see how well it fares, and even customise their rafts with big, soft Legos before sailing down the lazy river.

Price and opening hours: Start at AED 245 per person 10 am-6 pm, Monday - Sunday.
