Madras University to conduct job fair for distance mode students

CHENNAI: The University of Madras will conduct a job fair here on September 13 for final year distance mode students as well as those who have done distance mode courses in the university.
On September 14, it will conduct a job fair for those who passed out from university departments and affiliated colleges in regular mode.
The Institute of Distance Education (IDE) at Madras University and University Student’s Advisory Board (USAB) in collaboration with Just Dial limited are conducting the fair on the university’s Chepauk campus.
“Those who have completed any degree and also final year students of IDE are eligible to participate in this fair. This is for the first time we are conducting a job fair for students studying in distance mode. After seeing the response, we will conduct more such events,” said K Ravichandran, director, Institute of Distance Education, University of Madras.
Just Dial is expected to recruit more than 300 students at the fair.
Students should register using a QR code given on the university’s website. Students without registration can participate in the fair by registering themselves on September 13 morning.
