Medical varsity creates email ID to receive grievances

Grievances on fee collection and delay in getting certificates from colleges will be addressed, says MGR University V-C
The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University has created an email ID to enable medical students from across the State to register their grievances.
S. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, said the university presently had a grievance cell in place. It was being handled by the Public Relations Officer (PRO). “We want to be more student-centric and focus on their education and well-being. Sometimes, grievances on fee collection and delay in getting certificates from colleges are brought to our notice. Hence, we have created the email ID for the students,” she said.
Students can send mail to - grievances@tnmgrmu.ac.in their grievances.
The PRO would look into the grievance, and it would be addressed by the Registrar.
If required, it would be forwarded to the Vice-Chancellor. She pointed out that recently, there was a complaint on excess fee collection in a medical college and it was forwarded to the fee fixation committee.
“Similarly, there was an issue of a college not issuing certificates to a foreign student on time and we intervened to sort out the issue. If students send us their grievances by email, we can attend to it immediately,” the Vice-Chancellor said.
