Fly Emirates, pay less for some UAE tourist visas from July 1

People flying Dubai-based Emirates will now need to pay less for some categories of UAE visas. The visa fee for 30-day validity tourist visa has from July 1 been dropped from previous ₹6,300 to ₹5,230, Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC), an exclusive facility of VFS Global for Emirates and government of Dubai for processing UAE visas, has told Indian travel agents in a circular. The DVPC visa fee for express tourist/ express 14 days and express 96 hours visas have been dropped to ₹6,715 and ₹4,945 from ₹7,775 and ₹6,005 earlier, respectively. Thanking ‘patrons’, DVPC says in the circular: “Over 15 years of your valued partnership with VFS Global’s UAE visa… It’s only your trust in us which has helped us process over 3 million applications since our inception and helped us become experts in UAE visa processing… We extend our happiness to you by revising our prices.”
The move comes less than a month after UAE decided that people flying between India and the rest of the world through its mega hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be able able to get a free transit visa to spend up to two days there. The UAE government has decided to grant free transit visas for first 48 hours to transit passengers and this visa can be extended for up to 96 hours by paying 50Dirhams(about₹930).However,thedate from which this will be allowed is yet to be announced.
