Railways to run special tatkal trains during August, September to clear extra rush
There will be a total of nine services with stops at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottappalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the extra rush, the Railways will operate weekly tatkal special trains between Yesvantpur and Ernakulam Junction during August and September.

Train No 06547 Yesvantpur-Ernakulam Jn Weekly Tatkal Special will leave Yesvantpur at 10.45 am on Tuesdays (July 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28, September 4, 11, 18 and 25) and arrive Ernakulam Jn at noon the next day.

There will be a total of nine services with stops at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottappalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town.

Train No 06548 Ernakulam Jn–Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Special will leave Ernakulam Jn at 2.45 pm on Wednesdays (August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, September 5, 12, 19 and 26) and arrive Yesvantpur at 4.30 am the next day. The train will have stops at Aluva, Thrissur, Ottappalam, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Tirupattur, Bangarpet, and Krishnarajapuram. The special trains will have one AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, nine sleeper class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
