The boy promptly handed over the cash to his class teacher Jayanthiboss.
The teacher, along with the headmaster and the boy, in turn handed over the bundle to the district SP Mr. Sakthi Ganesan.
Erode: The Erode SP, Mr Sakthi Ganesan on Thursday was all praise for the honesty of a six-year-old class II boy of a government school near here for scrupulously handing over a cash bundle worth over Rs.50,000 he found on the street to the police here.
Mohammed Yasin, son of Batcha and Abruth Begum from Nandavana Thottam near Chinnasemur in Erode district and student of government middle school in Chinnasemur, found the cash in front of the school premises on Wednesday afternoon.
