CBSE, ICSE board exam dates released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct board examinations for the students of Class X and XII from March 3.
While the board examinations for the Class X students of the CBSE schools will end on April 4, the board examinations for the students of Class XII will conclude on April 12.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) will conduct the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examinations for the students of Class X from February 26 to March 28.
The Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations for the Class XII students will be held from February 7 to April 2.
Both the boards, however, did not announce the date of declaration of the results.
Here are the date sheets for Class X and Class XII CBSE and ICSE examinations:
Class X CBSE board examinations will begin on March 3 with 12 electives and vocational subjects including Information Communication Technology as well as Beauty and Wellness. Examinations for Science theory paper will be held on March 16, Social Sciences March 22, Mathematics March 28.
Exams for 33 various language papers, both Indian and foreign, including Kannada will be held on March 20. English language and literature paper will be held on March 12, Hindi Course-A and Hindi Course B on March 6 and Home science on March 24. The exams will conclude with Painting paper on April 4.
CBSE's class XII board examinations will begin with English elective and English Core on March 5. Physics will be held on March 7, Chemistry March 13, Biotechnology March 17, Mathematics March 21, Computer Science on March 23 and Biology on March 27.
Cost Accounting paper will be on March 8, Business Studies March 9, Accountancy March 15 and Economics March 26. Examinations for History will be held on March 20, Philosophy March 27, Psychology April 5, Political Science April 6 and Sociology on April 10. The exams will conclude with Home Science paper on April 12.
The CISCE will start ICSE examinations for Class X students with English language paper on February 26. Exams for Mathematics will be held on February 27, Physics on March 16, Chemistry March 19, Biology on March 26. History and Civics will be on March 7, Geography March 12, Economics March 21 and Environmental Science on March 28.
The ISC examinations for Class XII students will begin with practicals for Physics paper on February 7, followed by Computer science practicals on February 8, Chemsitry practicals on February 9 and Biology practicals on February 13. The ISC examinations for theory paper of Physics will be held on February 20, computer Science February 23, Mathematics February 26, Chemistry March 5 and Biotechnology on March 14.
Accounts paper will be held on February 15, Sociology February 21, Political Science March 6, Geography March 9, Commerce March 12, History March 26, Business Studies March 28 and Psychology April 2.
Pass marks
For ICSE examination, the pass mark would be 33%, instead of the present 35%. For ISC examination, the pass mark would be 35% instead of the present 40%. "Changes in pass marks for ICSE and the ISC examinations will be effective from the examination year 2018 onwards, not from 2019," CISCE chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon said.
