College student held under POCSO Act

L. Surya of Thadicherry, a college student, was arrested on the charge of assaulting an eight-year old girl at Thadicherry near here on Tuesday.
The accused abducted the girl while she was playing near her house and assaulted her sexually.
Later, he threatened to murder her if she exposed the assault to others.
Cases were registered against him under Section 6 of POCSO Act and 506 (i) of IPC in this connection.
