City medicos drown in Russia   03.05.2018

Two medical college students, studying in Crimea State Medical University in Russia, drowned in sea. Naveen, 18, of Nungambakkam and his friend Jayanth, 18, from Minjur had gone to Russia in June last year to study medicine. 


According to reports, “Three boys from their university had gone to the beach to take a swim on Tuesday, when Naveen and Jayanth drowned.” Naveen’s father works as an agent in a two-wheel showroom and Jayanth’s father works as an overseas consultant. The bodies have been handed over to the Indian embassy in Russia and will be flown to Chennai.

10 held for selling overpriced omni bus tickets:

Police arrested 10 people including 4 brokers Venkatesan, Prasannakumar, Jayaprakash and Rajaram and six omni bus staff for selling tickets at inflated price in Koyambedu, targeting people rushing to their native places for summer holidays.
