Russian Education Fair to be held in Chennai on May 19, 20

Officials say there would be no pre-qualifying exams like CET, IELTS for admissions in universities in Russia. 



This is being done with the intention to support their eligibility to pursue bachelor/post graduate programs.

Chennai: The 19th edition of the Russian Education Fair is all set to be held on May 19 and 20 in association with Study Abroad - The authorised Indian Representative for Russian Universities.

The fair would be open from 10 am to 5 pm on both the days and the management has also said that there would be spot admissions along with the free entry.

This is being done with the intention to support their eligibility to pursue bachelor/post graduate programs.

Officials say there would be no pre-qualifying exams like CET, IELTS for admissions in universities in Russia. However, MCI as a special case for the year 2018 has exempted students from writing Neet who had been admitted in medical courses overseas.

"India and Russia share a strong bilateral relationship for ages. Pacts in fields such as space research, engineering, technology, bio-chemistry, medicine etc. require a large number of well-trained personnel. Indian students receiving higher education in Russia will be best choices as their exposure to both the worlds will be a good basis for supporting each other and growing bilaterally," said Mikhail J. Gorbatov, Vice-Consul (Cultural), Consulate General of the Russian Federation in South India.
