Vaikasi Visakam festival from May 22

The 10-day Vaikasi Visakam festival at Sri Periyanayaki Temple will begin on May 22, according to C. Selvaraj, Joint Commissioner, HR&CE Department and Executive Office of the temple.
In a press release on Thursday, he said the temple administration had made elaborate arrangements for the festival. The celestial wedding of Lord Muthukumaraswamy with Goddesses Valli and Deivanai would take place at 7.30 p.m. on May 27 and the holy car procession at 4.30 p.m. on May 28, the Vaikasi Visakam day.
Veedhi ula would be held during all festival days. The 10-day festival would conclude on May 31.
Thirugnanasambandar festival would be celebrated on May 31. The temple administration had made arrangements for cultural programmes.
Flower offering festival would also be celebrated at Sri Kurinji Andavar Temple between 9 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. on May 21. He appealed to devotees take part in the festival and get blessings of Lord Kurinji Andavar.
