A single judge banned students with less than 80% marks from joining these colleges
The Medical Council of India on Monday preferred a writ appeal against a single judge’s September 28 order prohibiting the Centre as well as the council from permitting students who had scored less than 80% in core science subjects in their Plus Two examinations from joining undergraduate medical courses in foreign institutions. Justices M. Sathyanarayanan and N. Seshasayee ordered notices to the Centre and the State before adjourning the hearing to December 17.
