Guv appoints new Ambedkar law univ VC

Chennai: Tamma Suryanaryana Sastry, a professor of law at Savitribai Phule Pune University in Maharashtra, was appointed the the new vice-chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University for the next three years by governor Banwarilal Purohit at Raj bhavan on Wednesday.
In a career spanning 29 years, Sastry had served in the University of Pondicherry, Savitribai Phule Pune University and as a head of the department of Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University. A Raj Bhavan statement said Sastry had authored 60 research publications and 4 books and had a wide ranging experience of 29 years in the academic profession.
