City college 1 of 5 in country to get global recognition

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology was awarded a four-star rating for overall performance by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a ranking organisation spread across five continents, an official release said.
Sathyabama was one of five institutions in the country to receive this global recognition.
QS Stars is a rating system that evaluates institutions on criteria like teaching, facilities, employability, inclusiveness, innovation and internationalisation. Marie Johnson, president, and Mariazeena Johnson, pro chancellor, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, received the award from Ashwin Fernandes, regional director, Middle East, North Africa & South Asia, QS Intelligence Unit. Fernandes said these ratings would enhance the reputation of the institution on a global scale.
