CHENNAI : Pavithra Balajee, 22
I love my dad’s positive attitude. No matter what the situation is, he always looks at the sunny side. Also, he makes it a point to learn one good trait from every person he meets. This includes even our pet dog. I try to follow him — to love and to be happy.

Jayasri Samyuktha Iyer, 37
My father is my hero. He is generous and ever ready to help others. He prioritises others over himself. There are several attributes of my father that I wish to imbibe like his knowledge or ability to speak on any topic, and the charisma that he exudes even at the age of 70.

Varsha Neelakantan, 22
It may sound cliché but I do have the coolest dad. From having our first drink together to bonding over Billboard top 100, he's the most uninhibited dad. I want to learn to enjoy life and be stress-free during trying times just like him.

Sona Srinivasan, 30
‘Take life as it comes’. He does not stress on anything too much. He believes in the carpe diem philosophy. “Whatever is destined will definitely happen so why worry, Chalta Hai,... free ah vidu” is the mantra that he taught me, which keeps me going.

AP Sreethar, 49
Letting me be is the greatest gift from my father. My father always encouraged me to pursue my passion — art. He gave me the space I wanted, created an atmosphere to nurture my dream and motivated me whenever I faced a roadblock. These are his blessings.

Uthra Vekatesan, 23
My father has been my greatest support and I’ve always admired him for what he is. He always wants the best for me and I am sure I will make him proud and happy. To give the best and being a constant in all my journeys is something I’d like to learn, practice and carry forward.

Aishwarya Manivannan, 29
A lot of who I am today is based on attributes that I have imbibed from my father. He says that I inspire him to do more, but on the contrary, I have always been inspired by my dad. I have learned to persevere through challenges, to enjoy the simple joys of life, and to respect people.

Ananyaa Desikan, 22
When I ask appa for extra pocket money, it’s a ‘No’ but a secret packet of chips without amma’s knowledge is always okay. The kid in him becomes my partner in crime at times. When I get to his age, I hope I can be the kind of person he is and brew an excellent cup of filter kaapi.
