Chennai: The Madras high court has directed the Medical Services Recruitment Board (MRB) to accept applications from candidates holding a degree in radiotherapy for recruitment for post of radiotherapy technicians.
Justice T Raja passed the order on a batch of pleas moved by such degree holders, including R Divya of Chennai seeking to accept their application. Originally, degree holders were declared as overqualified by the MRB. Refusing to accept the arguments, the judge said such candidates are also entitled to apply for the post.
“Considering the fact that the petitioners have completed BSc (Radiotherapy Technology) from Madras Medical College and Government General Hospital recognised by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB). This court directs the concerned authorities to consider the application submitted by the petitioners as they are well qualified,” said the judge.
