The family rushed her to the Salem government hospital after she developed complications and she died on Sunday.

Salem: A college girl died due to complications following abortion done by a quack near here to rid her of the pregnancy caused by her brother, police said.

The family rushed her to the Salem government hospital after she developed complications and she died on Sunday. Investigation by the Theevattipatti police probe led to the quack’s arrest on Tuesday and to the sordid truth that the girl had become pregnant after being raped by her 24-year-old brother.
