State govt to repeal BEd degree order

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has decided to repeal its order declaring BEd degrees obtained from Vinayaka Missions University, Salem as not equal to a degree obtained from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, from the academic year 2015-16 for the purpose of recruitment through Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB).
Sunil Paliwal, higher education secretary who appeared in court in view of a contempt plea, made this submission. He further submitted that appointment orders would be issued to six persons who were declared ineligible in view of the GO.
The court directed the officials to produce the said appointment orders by April 19. TNN
