Girl who went missing after NEET found in Bihar hotel

A 19-year-old student from Nammalvarpet who went missing after the NEET was traced in Bihar on Thursday morning. Police said the student, Koteeswari, was aspiring to do her MBBS but had secured low marks in NEET.

On June 4, she sent a text message to her mother stating that she was upset over her performance and asked her family nottotraceher.Basedon a complaint from Koteeswari’s parents, the Secretariat Colony police tracked her mobile number. She had switched off her phone at the Chennai Central railway station.

As soon as she switched on her phone, the police found she was in Bihar where she had checked into a hotel room. Chennai police contacted the Bihar police and took their help to ensure her safety. She was later handed over to her parents. TNN
